LG g2 has 424 pixels per inch screens i was wondering if Nexus 5 will have the same ppi as g2.
Yup.
Sent from my SM-N900T using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Actually it will have more ppi than the G2 because the resolution is the same but the screen is smaller. So the Nexus 5 will have 443 ppi.

what this guy said.
The Nexus 5 will feature an outer space display where people have developed liquid plutonium infused with plasma gas, then spread on to a slate of diamond, this will ultimately give a pixel density of around 1452791,283759381628484,273748384747492919374859292838484929179483728395958362537484838191038484749201827474839203848ppi

You could find this out using gsmarena.com specs.
Seriously, why are you even concerned, this is a 5" screen with 1080p res. I can't even see pixels with my 318ppi Nexus 4. In any case its higher than iPhone's Retina™ display.

I think there is a very good chance that the Nexus 5 will have a 5 inch screen or maybe even larger. Many of the SUPER PHONES that are about to be released such as the HTC DROID DNA is going to have a 5 inch screen.... and it is likely that Google will follow suit. In fact, I think the next Nexus will be produced by SONY.
Everybody in the industry has been given the chance the produce the Nexus device and so I think...SONY will have a chance as well..

I think the next nexus will by their own - motorola.
For me, it will not matter whether the motorola and sony, but that was more polished than the nexus 4
They brought Motorola for a reason, future google devices will be Motorola.

if it is made by HTC or LG i won't be getting it. Samsung all the way! best devices on the market. period
It is even worth such a large display? A mobile phone should be such that it fits easily in one's hand ( iPhone 5 or s2 is perfect )
anything more than 5" should be counted as tablet. err. can you imagine? such a large phone keeping on your ears when on call?
Exactly HTC is the best manufacturer along with Motorola both should have a nexus phone soon

*worst all laggy crap, sh!t battery life and ALWAYS beat by a Samsung phone. name one HTC phone that is better than a Samsung one. also HTC are in 5th place for best mobile of the year. Samsung in no.1 and no.2
yes
I think it is
Motorola FTW! Legendary radios and great build quality. Also the ability to cram giant batteries into their phones? Who can argue
Samsung is the most popular manufacturer because they are really great at marketing their phones, and touch wiz features are great for that. But the AMOLED screens they use simply suck, and too much plastic

There is a rumor that HTC might be building the next Nexus device.... hopefully, its true.
I am a big fan of HTC. Their phones feel solid and function great.... all they need is some Nexus Love.

wow, that's alot of crap phones.... just big ass batterys. the reason i like Samsung is cos one one device that has a quadcore a15 beat out a quadcore a9.... the nexus 4. the droid dna and optimus G have better cpu's but still lag and are slower then the s3. (UK) Samsung optimize the hell out of their phones, just like apple and google. HTC and LG and the rest of the small players just make the phone able to boot. that's it. and amoled? sucks? wel we amoled users don't have a yellow display
I do have option to get either one and can't make decision.
Can someone help?
Which one is better?
I do have s2, s3, s4 and first generation ipad.
Is galaxy note tab would be wiser or try Google nexus 10 this time?
Thanks in advance.

If you will use the S-Pen, the note. Otherwise, the Nexus for better upgrade cycles.

Thinking of going to the hipster crowd I had s3 and just got an s4 and this one is very lagging
If Apple came out with a 4.5"+ screen I'd go back to Apple in a heartbeat. Alas they fail to listen to the crowds who want 720p+ and higher screen PPI or larger screen.
well my backup phone is a note 2, but I won't see going with a sideways exchange so would wait for a note 3 if anything if upgrading when it comes out

Note 3 (5.7 in screen) or GSM HTC Butterfly S w/LTE... i have the non LTE (but HSPDA+) version. it's the HTC One without the aluminum casing, same LCD screen but 5 inches (vs 4.7), same camera with a 3200 mAH non-removable battery and a microSD slot. the Butterfly S convinced me to give up my Note II, but not my S4
Nokia 3260. With the aftermarket light up antenna and battery. While rocking the fur Elise ringtone. Had every ifad until I got the og note. I couldn't see ever going back. To restrictive on everything. I still remember the black home screen wallpaper, non MMS sending iPhone. Everything that's iOS has that's good was ripped from android (multitasking, notification center, etc).

When I bought my S4A, I did so under the premise that it was only meant to hold me over until the Nexus 5 (or whatever the next one will be called) came out. However, I'm finding that I really like this phone (once I rooted, made some necessary tweaks, and got rid of all the bloatware).
Now, I'm thinking that the next Nexus is going to have to really sell itself to pull me back. Of course, if the next update irreparably removes my root and cancels all my changes... then the N5 will be looking shiny again.

Im jumping from my note 3 to the nexus 5 so I'd say yes, definetley from the S4. You just can't compare android phones with pure bred Google phones.
My main concern with nexus 5 is how will be battery life. I wish there was a model with 3000 mah like lg g2,but it didn't happened.
I also have a s4, hopefully my n5 comes tomorrow.. And I'll use its camera to take pictures of my s4 to put on eBay
