[ICS][CWM] Stock ROM & kernel with root/init.d support (Updated with CWM ROM)

While some of you have installed the ICS leaked ROM, still, the kernel source is not yet released by Samsung. As a result, a custom kernel that compile from the source is not available in this moment.
Despite that, I have injected superuser and init.d support to the stock kernel. Please find below for the link (just flash it thru normal CWM flash zip process)

Features:
1) Rooted. If your ROM is not rooted, after flashing this kernel, you will get root!
2) init.d support, so, the kernel will run custom script located in /system/etc/init.d/ (remember to set the init.d folders & files to 777 permission)
I am also preparing a CWM flashable ROM (flash thru normal CWM flash process)
After I received the kernel source from Samsung, I will patch back the changes in ardatdat v1.9beta kernel to that. Thanks.

You could flash it using normal CWM flash zip process.
You might find out that the original ICS leak occupy a lot of space in /system/. As such, the ROM I have uploaded have chopped out some Samsung apps as well as the GenieWidget. This frees up 22MB in /system/
All are welcome to use that zip as a stepping stone to do further customization

am on neo rom v3.0 now..plus ardat kernel 1.83 .. can i flash ur rom uploaded here and kernel directly or shud i do anything before that?

Hmmm, interesting. I have 73MB's free space on my /system. I have Machram's backup and TouchWiz UX + SGS3 widgets installed and it doesn't exceed the partition size.

Also, what is the capacity of this Kernel..?? does it support to VOODOO sound as well..??

Kernel - Its Pre-rooted and has init.d script support. It will not support Voodoo as Ardatdat is waiting for Kernel source from samsung.
ROM - He made it as CWM flashable instead of a recovery file. Also he has deleted some bloats to get some free space.

init.d scripts are those set of scripts that will get executed each time when the mobile gets booted. Many System performance related scripts can be placed in \system\etc\init.d folder. For such scripts to get executed during boot time, the kernel shud supprt that. Ardatdat's kernel does tat job.

Do a complete cwm backup first. Then, flash the rom above in case u want to revert, restore the cwm backup.

I will buddy, but do I have to do data deleted or factory reset after flashing your ROM, coz Recently I have downloaded lots of applications..??:fingers-crossed:
OMG, my thanks is finished for today, I will hit thanks 2morrow for selva & Addy(ardatdat) also.

I theory, you could flash it directly and your data will not be deleted. But a factory reset is suggested if you upgrade from gingerbread to ics :thumbup:

If u r moving on from GB to ICS, do data wipe too buddy. Else u will face lot of FC, bit drag while scroll and battery drain will happen.

No need to activate..just flash the zip n u r done..n inorder to use adrenaline boost first flash that corresponding zip n den use it via terminal emulator by typing su and then boost

Is it safe? Cause there is written that Adrenaline Boost disable alarm and so on and so on.... How can I prevent that it don't crash some apps and that it disables something? And, is this file like busybox or something other, which not runs without writing the command in the Terminal Emulator or adb-shell? How long is the Boost activated? Till next restart?

This is perfectly safe n u wont get any fc of apps nor anythng..it just frees up unused ram so ur phn speeds up..n it wil run using command enter in terminal emulator

well i tried adrenaline engine but always get the bootloop, i guess i should be doing something wrong ... mount system, mount data , flash the script and... boot loop..

You need CM Version!

you need to flash the cm version if you are on cm based rom and likewise the stock version on stock based custom rom.
just make a backup before you flash it just as a precaution

I have installed PAC ROM(Parandroid AOKP Cyanogenmod) firmware version ddkt2 jb 4.1.2 for G fit ..I flashed adrenaline engine 4.4 in recovery mode by flashing mount system mount data then flash.....
1.) How do I come to know if its flashed ?
2.) will it work or the engine that came with the ROM installed is more capable?
please guide and help with these basics?

Check whether the files in the adrenaline engine zip are in corresponding folders, to know whether it is installed correctly or not..

I'm using Explode Rom on my pico..:victory:
I just Wanted to know...which roms support init.d ??..
n can the method of m2sd as used in explode through terminal emulator possible on all those roms which support init.d..?
and can it b done on Sense 5 EX, HTC Sense 4.1 ,MIUI v5 BETA 3.4.29 roms...coz m just luv wid thm..:victory:

These all roms are custom roms
And as i know every custom rom for our explorer have init.d support
And for sense 4.0a roms u should have sd-ext of 1024 mb minimum
These roms have memory scripts in it
And for other u can use m2sd as memory script

n m2sd script r same cmnds as used in explode rom?..:silly:
n another qustn i already hve a 2gb partition on mmry card whch acts as intrnl mmry...so whn i wipe d all data from partitions..does partition gets deleted..n i hve agn partition my card..or is it ok to jst wipe data n do nothin for partiton procs as it is already partitond..damm..lot of cnfusion :silly:

No just reboot to recovery
And wipe everything before flashing another rom
It will not delete your sd-ext partition
It will just format it

And download m2sd(no config needed) from here
Flash it then you need not have to configure m2sd

I m using fly rom v4 refind
yes almost every rom have same proceedure to flash
But for precaution read the instructions at least once carefully given by deveploper in roms' thread
And before flashing make backup of ur current rom through recovery (if something goes wrong)

Making Pre swap (1GB RAM) for gaming

Hi to all having problem in creating swap but now u can enjoy 1gb
RAM in canvas 2.just follow the steps below
(1)place any ROM zip in SD card and unzip u will get three folders
namely data,Meta and system .for unzip I am using mi file explorer Search it on XDA and download or use any
App u want for zip n unzip
(2)now download turbo boost.zip from http://d-h.st/caw and extract it u Wii get 2 folders direct inject and init.d
(3)place the direct inject folder in data folder extracted in first step and copy init.d scripts in init.d folder of above ROM
(System>etc>init.d) if there is not init.d folder then just copy the init.d folder in etc folder
(4)now compress or make a zip file of ROM(step 1)
(5)That's it now flash the ROM.zip via cwm
For checking if the swap created or not open terminal emulator(download it from play store)
Now type free -m
Press enter it will show 555 MB swap
It will work only on andiroxu and bindassboast kernel bcz it needs swap & init.d supported kernel

First use root rights from es file explorer(top left corner)earth+ mobile logo enable root settings mount as ro
If not understood then follow the reflashing procedure

So there is apper over writing so want to do ??

if I flash thunder zap kernel my camera autofocus will not work.... (problem in new model A110)... that's why I have to stick to the default kernel which is inside the ROM...

So can try on inbuilt kernel may be possible its work..
But its recommended to reflash Rom

Guys I am using it with legoice turbo v3.1 ROM with latest xtream punCH kernel.
Don't ask for link of that kernel search on ur own at dev host . or google it
Also u need latest busy box installed. Most ROM having it by default.

Yes turbo boost swap is for every device.use it.
But u don't have swap support in kernel. So sorry.

I have a class 4 16 gb sdcard. I'm on 4.2. My apps lag a little. I want better multitasking and more free ram. Will this help with smoothness and multitasking?

Yes RAM is an important factor in multitasking.but u should be on good ROM like Mackay of @khan_frd2002 or on legoice turbo of @bsuhas or on

U should use root privilege of es file explorer then it can change the property of folder or file
