Was that phone supposed to be brand new? Sounds like someone broke the screen, sent it in, and you got it as a refurb.

What do you mean by "A corporate one in Vegas" ? Was it actually a AT&T store .. BestBuy .. Walmart .. Target .. RadioShack !!!
If its NOT an official AT&T Dealer .. then YES, I would have to say you got SCAMMED.

I would wait. Simple as that. If you want a QWERTY phone, this is a nice one. But we have a few roms and its a good. We have what we need, and nothing we don't. If you a flashaholic, buy a GNEX off NewEgg. Or buy.com. **** Apple, they can't stop you from getting a nice phone.

They should. Apple just blocked the sales of ones from Google, you should be able too. Worse comes to worse, you can't check out. Try all your trusted sites. Newegg, Buy.Com, O.Co, Amazon, Ebay. Cowboom. Etc, etc.

Read into them. Honestly it'd be my first choice if I'm buying outright. Read all their tos and whatnot. As far as I know only clean esn's are on there. I have read into it and it definitely is a lot better of an option than eBay in my opinion

For safe transactions and reduced prices, you can check out the "outlet" from the company. A lot of companies sell the slightly used tablets and refurbs on their outlet's website.

actually what i always do is, shop around on the site and see whats available. then i call them prior to me checking out to confirm everything and they usually give anywhere from a 10-15% discount.
KEEP IN MIND:

just use MyUs.com or any other similar canadian website, that gives u usa adress and then ships the item for you.

Gas station attendant wouldn't let me use it. Said his machine wasn't equipped for it. I argued with him but let it go because there was a line. It didn't work because he didn't activate the damn swipe yet.
Nonetheless I tried it at Safeway later and it worked beautifully
