I have CM10.1 on my HTC One S. Everything was good until I thought my battery was miscalibrated of something. So I run the battery calibration app, let the battery drain, and then charged without interruption. Now battery won't last me more than 4 hours. Before it lasted about 6 - 8 hours, which was pretty acceptable, but 4 hours? I tried making a factory reset but didn't help. Battery drains about %20 or more per hour. What should I do? Does reflashing kernel will work? Or what? Please help..
PD. Charging also takes too long about 4 hours...

Have you reflashed the ROM?

Second day with the battery. I ran it down today to the point where it shut off and wouldn't turn on. I charged it with the phone off for about 30 minutes and turned it back on. The charge was 54%. Did it really charge that fast?

I just checked mine and it shows that over the last 20 minutes mine has gone from 1-99% & that's just ridiculous.
Also it seems that even after 2.5 hours of charging with the phone off (first two times with the anker) it still doesn't turn the led to green

Same issue..
I have the same issue...ran Anker battery down and recharged for 5 minutes, battery widget showed 54% charge, the System Returned charge was like 5% so there is an obvious disconnect there. I get a green light if I charge for 3+ hours, just left it charging at work. Until we get the Sensation rooted and can reset the battery stats, this probably will remain an issue.
I guess you can temp root it and reset the battery stats but I'll wait for perm root.
I read somewhere in this forum that you have to configure the phone to somedegree to show the correct battery status, no idea how though

My Anker should be here in a few days. As you suggested, you guys just might need to reset the battery stats. So you'll know, I used a battery calibration tool and it worked great under temp root. With stock battery, my % would spike pretty quick one way or another....it did help give me more steady readings. No worries there....
I have a similar issue with the stock battery, if I'm charging and I restart it the battery % jumps.
Just charged up my new anker yesterday for about 9 hours. Popped it in this morning. I will do three full overnight charges and full dicharges and report back. My chichitec got the same conditioning and its lasting about 25 hours for me. We will see. Got this thing for 9.50 so it won't be the end of the world. Seems good so far. At 99% and had it off the charger for three hours. Phone call and some email and xda.
Once we get root ill be wiping the battery stats for sure though.

care to walk me through how to do this (not the temp root) so I can reset my battery stats?
I'm having this issue with my Chichitech battery. There's no damn way it's at 99% after letting it charge from 0% 3 hours ago.
I recently got a Sensation, flashed Inquisition, Sense Faux Kernel, undervolted about -50 to -75, and bought an 1900mA Anker battery, and after a few days my battery life can last almost the entire day. For example, yesterday it lasted 13 and a half hours with 2 hours and 30 mins display on (which was about 70% of total battery usage. I have brightness at about 40%. What really gets to me is how the battery drains really fast once it hits 20% or so.
I've attached my battery usage from being unplugged for a few hours.
try bricked kernel. it using 25mA when in sleeping mode no need of any apps

I used to have the same issues earlier.
The fast draining from 20% is because of
Improper battery calibration which needs some time to asjust(it took 6 cycles for me).this I can confirm you because once my phone switches off because of no power left and when I plug on the charger the battery percentage goes upto 15% in just 1 min also this fast 20% drain is always attributed with last longing 100% change ( I mean battery stays at 100% even you've used your phone like for 30min with screen on all the time)

I flashed Bricked kernel last night and unplugged my phone at 4am. Currently, after being on battery for 6 hours 48 mins my battery is down to 57% with only 15mins of actual use/display on...I have system tuner and battery widget and can provide logs if anyone would like to further assist me in pinpointing why my battery sucks.
Is there an app or process keeping your phone awake or using CPU in the background? System Tuner Pro can help you diagnose this.
Also, try a clean install of your rom, stick with stock kernel and check. Re-download your apps one by one from market, checking for a few hours after each.
It should be possible to get standby drain of 1-2% ans 1.5-2 days battery with moderate use I do.

Looks like attachment uploading is broken. Anyway, A few changes I've done have improved sleep time, but my phone still looks sad compared to my girlfriends iPhone 4s battery life (17 hours on, 2 hour usage, at 62%).
This thing bother's me. It has good sides though but, when i bought our unit and the first time i charged it, it took 4 hours of charging after discharging 100%, quite long. Then after using it, experimenting on cRoms, kernels, im charging it with just one hour or less? Why is it? Am i charging my battery at 100% really? Does calibrating the battery will do something coz i haven't tried yet. Is it normal?
Thanks a lot guys.
Using poseidon's rom UC kernel v8 200-1.2ghz lionheart/sio.
Uhhh I don't think its normal. Its way too fast. Battery calibration may help, but I don't think it will as the myth has been debunked. Maybe flashing a new kernel may help. How much battery life do you get?
Cheers

Oh sorry sir. Maybe just my imagination or just busy that i did'nt noticed the hour, the problem is solved. Yesterday i have 50% i charged it with 2 hours before getting 100% so it means 4 hours = 100%. my fault.
Hi! So I've been using this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1782009 for about 3 weeks now and I'm very happy with it but I've noticed my battery has been really really bad! Here's a screen shot and this was on a full charge :\
I replied on the thread with the screen shot but no one answered.
If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it
You need to check in better battery stats and see if your getting a wake lock. Read on google or xda how certain wakelocks can be bad. You can isolate the app causing the wake lock by using better battery stats and then fix the situation. Also could be the rom but likely it's a wakelock. Once you fix your issue, it will be much better. You can get better battery stats at the market or here on xda. Best wishes.

I'm having the same problem with the same ROM, I just installed a few hours ago.
18.18: 99%, stopped charging.
18.26: 89% battery left.
18.31: 84% battery left.
18.46: 72% battery left.
18.49: 70% battery left.
Until now I have used stock 4.0.3, and never experienced anything like this. I did barely touch my phone during these 30 minutes. It still has S-ON, could this be why?

No, S-ON/S-OFF has nothing to do with battery life. In your case though, since you said you just installed the ROM a few hours ago, you need to do about 3 full charge cycles before you start worrying about your battery life.
Drain the battery right down (not completely dead though, 10% is enough), charge to 100% and repeat a few times. Then if you are still getting bad battery life you can start looking at what is actually draining the battery.
Hi..
I know this is a known bug in jb leak 1, but is there a fix for the sudden drop in battery level?
Daily as soon as the battery level reaches 30, there's a drop of 10%.
I already tried clearing battery stats from recovery but still no luck..

Like you said, it's a known bug. Even the custom 4.1.2 ROMs like MagicMod and CM10 have a similar issue. With those two the battery reading will go from 19% to 1% really quick but stay at 1% for over an hour sometimes. It's not a problem with the battery, it's just the way those ROMs report the battery reading (that's part of the reason why clearing battery stats doesn't help). AFAIK there was never a fix for that.
Brought to you by time and relative dimensions in space.
Happens with me too using dirty unicorn with jbx. As soon as I get to around 30% it just drops to 19

There is no solution for that I'm afraid as the same thing happens on custom roms and stock with the 1% battery feature. It's been happening for a long time so it's nothing new.

i am also facing same battery problems but mine is also some different, when my battery is at 20-30% and if i plugged charger(samsung's charger or Data Cable) then within 25-30 minute it become 90-100%. once i have reverse problem while connected to laptop for full day its charged max 70%.

Samsung chargers I believe have more voltage supplied during charging. That's why it charges up quickly. While laptop doesn't give out that much of voltage.
I once have battery drop but only around 5%.. 24%-19%.. but now it seems fine.. I use leak 3 as daily drive.. I think it depends on charge cycle.. if u charged a lot and your phone are used to the pattern then your battery cycle won't be messy with sudden drop..
