[Help needed]strange flickering issue st21i

hey i bought xperia tipo single sim last week.but whenever i open gallery(not xperia gallery) i see strange colours appear on screen for a moment.same happens.with opera mini.i have rooted my phone on firmware 11.0.A.0.16 also shadowgun deadzone is unplayable due to strange textures.please give me a solution to fix this

That ain't good at all
I honestly suggest you to bring your phone to a (Sony) Service Center and have them fix it. It doesn't seem like a regular problem...
Well, perhaps u could wait for a few more answers (I don't recommend you to wait longer than another week), but if no-one knows the problem, definitely go to a Sony Service Center!!

thanks for reply but i rooted it using bin4ry's script should i unroot it first using his script again?also hve u tried shadowgun dead zone?mutany roadkill also lags but max payne and amazing spiderman work with playable framerates

I have the same problem with Shadowguns Multiplayer... textures flicks...and is unplayable

Then connect your phone wid pc companion and repair your set
Your set now unrooted again

So..Everybody got this problem.....It shouldnt be like this even if there is no light , IT HAS EXMOR RS !

My camera records @30fps using stock camera app.. No problem at all!

Do what your fps will be high!
Open the camera> select video camera mode> choose scene soft snap> va Settings and choose the 176x144 resolution> then choose the resolution hd.
All done without any lag!

Glad to have helped! : D They were without any lag?
In regular camera when taking picture is 'slow' it .. But I see no problem, the same problem was at the time of filming.

It worked for me... I was thinking about returning the Xperia L.

The problem now .. how to make the trick on the normal camera mode when you want to take a picture ?

In regular camera does not know how to solve, perhaps with some update sony, because even in .36 have this problem. But to take pictures I see no problem, I irritated the filming, most doing what i said fps shooting is the self.

That's normal. The front camera has a VGA resolution, that's why it's bad.

My Xperia Mini Pro had a VGA camera at the front but the quality was much better.

My front camera is also as if no colors, I even asked to exchange the device for it. I have an Xperia U with the same camera and VGA front camera of xu is much better.
I'm hoping to get my new xperia L: p
My came with a defective led down one of the lights does not change color is always white.
But let's wait for the new android 4.2 in xperia z has been released
I think he ought to fix this slow camera and improve the camera front.

We can't predict the future, you know. So we don't know if we'll ever have a stable CM. And your choice depends on what do you want your phone for. If you're a heavy user/gamer, then this phone suits you perfectly. If you like taking photos, you might want to look forward to another phone, since Xperia L has alot of camera issues, such as high exposure on low light and image flicking while recording on indoor enviroinments.

I suggest to wait or save your money for other brands or other models... Xperia L has some issues and even up to now the issue isn't solve. It has been two months since the last update but still no fixes on those crucial ones

you should to know xl have weak touch screen but it still good for typing and gameing..
i feel so tiny lags when i playd gangester vegas game in high graphic..
BUT It realy pretty , se-y phone... i love it.. i wanna keep it

I have too tiny lags on high ,that's because the game have very low optimalization ,it can lag even on xperia z.All other gaes works smooth for me

1. There is problem with the WiFi what so ever. It's the router/modem.
2. Touch screen sensitivity can can be a problem sometimes while zooming in or out. Otherwise it's good.
3. There are no HW camera issue. Only SW camera issue. So expect them to be resolved in 4.2.2 or 4.3 or CM.
4. I am hearing this for the first time. No mic quality issues. Mic is great according to me.
If you're not convinced about the camera, talk to @shivamk11 and look into his thread!

Ok, thanks, but i watched some video samples from this phone and the sound was not that good which means voices will seem unnatural to the other party im calling.

That memory issue is one of the biggest bugs on xperia L. If you're planning to root XL, no need it worry as it can be solved.
However, if you're not keen on rooting, there's a decent chance that you could face this problem. & NO, this bug is not fixed with the 2.17 update.
I am currently on 2.17 & still face this problem. Haven't yet faced the restarting problem..

again, i can respond only regarding non-rooted phones.
For non rooted phones, Just About Average. Lasts just about a day if you're medium user. IF you're a heavy user, be prepared to charge your phones a couple of times a day.

What i know about xperia m is that its screen has a bluish tint and the internal memory is only 1.5 gb.

Actually, L's camera is really good, but the new update screwed it up, pictures are really noisy and overexposed in low light. You should see shivamk's topic.

If you are confused between Xperia M and Xperia L ...
Then blindly go for Xperia L .
According to me Xperia L is better in all terms in comparison to Xperia M .

hey guys, after watching xperia l review on youtube on almost every different channel, none other of them complains about touch issue. but when i go to xda, suddenly theres a ton of L user complaining about low senitivity touchscreen issues..

when I am playing a game I am not able to move the body and aim at the same time, because when I hold to aim, he stop moving.
games like gta 3 & shadowgun & dead space & ... (Specially gta 3)

sony service center could not fix it.and changed my phone with an xperia sp.
i paid about 77$ because sp is more expensive.

I'm facing the same problem while playing Dead Trigger 2. Also pinch to zoom not working properly.

some of us already reported about this bug and they cme up with such a ****ty reply like "it was game bug kindly contact game developer" and "are u using scratch guard ?" i had already posted link of der reply in FB go find der and u will laugh
The main problem is that 50% of ppls not having this issue (donno what type of SKIN they have) so we cant do **** . Did u compare ur Xperia L's touch screen with other low end phones ? Xperia L has worst touch screen compare to Samsung S advance , ACE + , Xperia M , TIPO , Xperia J

I just hope its not hardware issue

he is in brazil and does not have problem in 4.2 update.
but i have problem in both 4.1 and 4.2 firmware.
so i think this is a software issue.is not a hardware issue.

Well, some people have this issue while some don't.. I suggest you to try factory reset your phone and try again.. It should get sorted out with factory reset

yuh am also facing this problem but not at all
i play gangstar vegas without any issues on touch but when i play parking maniya there is a bit low issue on multitouch i can't steer and accelerate same time but sometimes only.

this is a hardware problem.
sony service center could not fix it.and changed my phone with an xperia sp.

Lag while in camera

Hey guys, I currently have an S6 and want to make the switch to the Z5 but was wondering about the lag while in camera.
I was at the store today and noticed when you're using the camera it lags moving it around. Do you guys experience this or was the store demo just not updated?
Any additional thoughts from anyone who has switched from the S6 to Z5?

I have terrible lags all the time. Hoping marshmallow will fix it... Viewing Internet also lags but camera is just making me mad...

Yeah the camera lags or skips, more so in low light. Just the interface though and pics come out fine, albeit they take a bit to save sometimes.

If you're talking about framerate, yeah occasionally it seems like the framerate in Superior Auto mode is a bit low and choppy.

What version of the camera apk are you experiencing lag with, v2?

If you mean Image Preview Lag so it can be only software issue
so don't worry about it simple update can solve it

Yes, xevious was on the ball. I was meaning to say framerate. It seemed to drop when in camera just moving the phone around.
Is this and image preview lag the same?

Such a long stretch from Z1 which had a 60fps preview.
Anyone else noticed considerable shutter lag? It always pauses and captures what happens a split second after the screen pauses....

It s Software Issue but it can be in application layer or maybe lower level.
When Camera Detect the light it needs process to show Preview
this can be lag in that process.
try another Firmware
I mean try to Flash stock firmware of another Region.

I would if i had a Z5 haha :laugh: still on my S6. Guess ill wait for the Z6 and see how that goes.
