Buying from Amazon/eBay - General Questions and Answers

I'm planning to buy a laptop from Amazon or eBay. I've never bought something from the internet. Is it certain that what I order will be delivered? What should I do if the laptop does not come? Is there a chance that I will lose my money? I don't want to just throw 700$ out of the window.

Amazon is what I'd go with to have the "real store" experience, fulfilled by Amazon and brand-new. Ebay is not that risky. I've been buying on Ebay for many years. Once a seller went out of business when I ordered an air compressor. Another time someone sold me a counterfeit Kensington micro SD card. Ebay took care of it quickly both times. My favorite Ebay purchases are my Fender G-Dec amplifier (new) and an Ibanez RG350 guitar (used). You're not likely to lose your money, however I recommend buying new computers. Be sure to check your seller's feedback.

Looking for G Tablet

Looking for a G Tablet in nice condition. Please keep in mind brand new ones from retailers are going for $360. I'm pretty new here but have feedback at other forums(overclock.net,howardforums, and headfi) and ebay.
sell you one for 350 plus a 16gb card and a custom case if you want. plus box and everything etc.
6ave now has it for $343 with a coupon code so.... Keep your offers reasonable.
I may entertain selling mine however the mini USB is loose and would require you to solder it back in place. Everything else works. I was thinking $250. Would come with TNT Lite installed. I do have the custom skin on the back and a Kindle case too. The original box and cloth would be included too.

I have one for $300 shipped USPS w/ paypal. Brought it new from Sears a few months ago. Everything is working fine and there's no major scratches. Email me if you're interested. I can probably snap a few pix for you. My email is my xda username at gmail. Also the same username for ebay for feedback reference.
I have one as well with the original box and cover and have no scratches on the screen. I had ipad screen protecter on the gtablet since I have bought it. You can have it for 325 shipped with box and cover and all of the proms and kernel saved in nice folders.
You can make me a reasonable offer as well.
$325
Comes with Box - paperwork
I will also throw in the following:
zpad malata leather case
zpad hdmi dock
carbon fiber skin for the back (already installed)
and free ups ground shipping to non-po box addresses
I had a few scratches on the back of mine - thus the reason I wanted the carbon fiber skin. The dock has hardly been used and the leather case I have only had since janurary.
The battery charging light doesnt come on any more - but the screen shows its charging.
The device has Vegan 3 or 4 on it and I will throw in a 4gb memory card
I can accept paypal or credit cards through my company website.
If I have no takers by Thursday morning its going on ebay for the weekend
$325 takes mine also. (Dock included)
Comes in box, like new. Only had mine for a couple weeks. Have receipt w/date.
Tablet form factor not for me. I require a laptop/netbook for my needs.
Included are the following:
Viewsonic G Tablet in box like new, no scratches
Dock with power, HDMI, Ethernet, USB
4GB MicroSD card
Has TNT G-Harmony ROM Installed currently
$270 shipped is what I am hoping to get it down to. Many people are offering to sell theirs at $300 shipped, its hardly a deal anymore, its the "regular" price for this item.
Also, Please PM me if your actually interested in selling yours. Its getting rather confusing with some many people posting offers.
I paid $415 including tax for mine less than 1 month ago. I am including a dock that I paid $45 for and an 8GB card valued at least $10. That = $470 and you want me to take a $200 hit cause you want a deal. It's barely used, it is brand new. Good luck finding one in this condition for that price with these accessories, but I am not going to make it easy for you.
$300 is not the "regular" price, nice tactic though.

You do realize that $350 is how much a new one goes for. $280 for a refurbished one at Sears.

I tried to check all morning but i can't find any retailers who's selling these in Canada. Only in ebay , 60$ for the charger + 12$ shipping, plus tax, not worth it.

I couldn't find one at any Verizon store. Tried several around Jacksonville, FL. None had it or knew anything about it. I was willing to pay the $50 for instant gratification, but it didn't pan out. Anyone who can get them should pick up a few and resell them, either at cost or make a few bucks.

WPCentral has one but I can't post URLs.

They have a 15% off coupon and they ship to Canada as well cheaply.

I did the same in the Orange Park and Fleming Island area. I got a speech from one store saying they were removed because they are dangerous and wireless charging causes fires. LOL.

I bought one off Ebay in OEM (crap) packaging for $57. The seller had 70units. Unfortunately it arrived DOA so I am hoping he still has a replacement available when the RMA gets back to him. I've paid shipping twice now and will actually end up being about $80 (if he still has one) :crying:
"holiday12" is the code. It's good until Dec 7th.
thanks for that but it says out of stock
Nexus slides right off if you r not using a case so i went to my local walmart and bought some sticky bumpers it doesnt look pretty but had to be done

Best place to sell my like new Galaxy Note 2? Swappa vs Ebay

I'm wondering if anyone has experience selling phones and which website they feel is the best place to sell my Verizon Titanium Grey Galaxy Note 2. It has been in a Seidio Active case with a SGP screen protector since day one so it appears to be brand new. This will be the first handset I've sold online. I was originally going to sell through EBay but they recently raised the final value fee for sellers to 10% of the item. I just recently saw Swappa through the marketplace here on xda. To someone who has tried both eBay and Swappa(or a third method) which method did you prefer and why? How quickly do phones typically sell on Swappa? The good thing about eBay is I know I can easily list and sell it within 7 days for over $350(with some going for over $400) but the final value fee is steep. I believe the average sale price right now for the note 2 on Swappa is about $340 so that may be the better route but I'd like to hear some experiences from people who have used both first. Any input is appreciated. Thanks
I think you should sell it in ebay by auction....starting at like 100.00 dollars. I am an experienced eBay buyer....

I would list it on swappa. Ebays fees are high but people tend to spend more on eBay also. Why not list it on both and then when it sells take down the other listing. But list it for more on eBay to compensate for the high fees.

That's not a bad idea, are there any penalties for removing an item from either? I have never done this on eBay and have no experience with Swappa

Nope...
Doesn't cost you a thing on either side till you sell the device. I always list my phones in multiple places.

Thanks for the advice. I looked earlier today and they are going for close to $500 with 40+ bids on eBay so it should be super easy to sell
Decided to put her up on eBay since there seems to a be a ton of demand for them on there. If anyone is looking for a mint note 2 with extras here is the link:

Razor Forge TV in UK?

As the title really, are we expected to see the forge tv in the UK? If so, How much you think it'll be? £99?
I'm so tempted to get it ordered from Razor US, sent to a shipping company who would forward it on to me in the UK - Comes with google play store on aswell, root is probably fairly likely. Would maybe work out no more than £140 after shipping and fees too.
I'd probably buy two (roughly same shipping cost I'd imagine) and put the spare on eBay to recoup some of my cost in fairness. Either way, has anyone used any services such as the above and can you recommend any?
Thanks

FTR, I've ordered two units from Razer. Getting shipped to an american company. It will then be sent to me in the UK. I will likely stick one on eBay and keep the other (then selling my Fire TV). Should hopefully end up upgrading at no cost by the time the other is sold.
Will be much better over the Fire TV.
