[Q] Help! How do I flash a Dual sim GT-N7102 galaxy note - General Questions and Answers

After having a look at some of the specs of my phone I'm under the conclusion that it may be a clone, but either way its for the Chinese market and I have had lots of little problems with the phone, from youtube not working properly, to apps shutting down sometimes, and most frustrating is that Google Play Services is not working, so no Gmail app and most recently I wanted to use PushBullet and I could not.
So far I have succesfully rooted it using some oneclick root and have verified it by downloading a root checker. I am completely new with rooting and flashing phones and using the oneclick, it was the first time I had rooted a phone. I'm not sure where to go next for flashing the ROM. Anyone have any advice or tips on how to proceed? I have tried ODIN but it doesn't seem to recognize the phone at all.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Ace Rooting Problem

Hi, I have bought an Ace ME ROM version for my fiancée that had Eclair installed. I rooted the phone using superoneclick v1.9.1 and everything was working fine. Then my fiancée connected to Kies and tried to upgrade to Froyo however the phone hang and she removed the battery and then the phone was not working anymore. I got the phone to work again by reverting to factory settings from the recovery mode screen, and the phone was upgraded to Froyo. However, the phone lost its root, and I am not able to root it again, once trying SuperOneClick the phone hangs on waiting for device (even though I tried all remedies to this issue that are available online). I tried to install Z4root on the phone to root without connection to PC however the application crashes when I click root or unroot.
By the way, the phone says that it is rooted in the settings/About phone/Kernel version screen.
I would appreciate any help on how to re-root the phone as due to low capacity, app to SD and removing stock apps is necessary.
Thanks in advance for your help.

[Q] Rooting Samsung Galaxy i5500

Hello all,
I have had my Galaxy i5500 for awhile now and have used odin to flash updates for the firmware etc.
I have recently rooted my phone using Superoneclick and this worked fine. Overclocked the phone, and ran a number of Apps using SuperUser Access to gain all the benefits from this.
I installed Titanium Backup and Installed it on my SD Card, this caused a number of problems and I had to pull the battery on my phone to reboot it. Anyway it then hung at the GT-I5500 screen and I ended up having to download a new firmware (not custom) and use Odin to update it.
I now have a working phone, however I now can't root it. I have tried Superoneclick, that no longer works. I have also tried Universal Androot..with that I get an error message of Root Failed - No Fu Guu (or something like that) and I have just tried using z4root... with that it says acquiring Root Shell and then it just kicks me out...have checked and it's not rooted.
I also can't seem to access the reboot menu on my phone (the one where you press a couple of buttons to enter the menu where you can factory set your phone.
Can anyone shed any light on this? Other than these problems mentioned, the phone works as it should
Solved....
It took awhile of trying different root software but.... after reflashing my phone with another stock rom, I found Super One Click still didn't work, nor did z4root or universal Androot (I'm guessing it would have worked without reflashing a different rom).
I did however find that Unlock Root 2.2 worked! My phone is now flashed, no error messages and I have Superuser Access!! Now time to install a custom bootloader and start with the custom roms!!

[Q] [HELP] Moto G slower after rooting

I've recently rooted my XT-1032 (telcel) and ever since the phone has been a lot slower than usual. I'm still new to motorola devices. I've rooted other devices before but I can't recall this ever happening. Does anyone have a fix for this? A nice explanation would be awesome. Thanks for everything

Root is just a change in file permissions, it doesn't "do" anything extra that would slow the system down I will recommend you to uninstall any task manager or task killer app ex. clean master or advance task killer, you can also try by denying the root permission to the previously give apps, or even if things not work try to disable superuser....

Just rooting your phone should not slow it down at all. If you've downloaded rooted apps, or flash custom ROMs, and kernels, then obviously those could be suspected culprits for slowing down your device.
Another possibility, maybe a file could have been randomly damaged somehow during the unlock/root process.
Maybe doing the process of flashing a new ROM could fix the issue, manually updating the newest version of Android for the phone, or restoring/converting back to stock firmware, and redo the hole process again of unlocking/rooting your Moto G.

[Q] Sprint Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport SM-G860P L5.0 Root/ROM/Recovery/Kernel

Hello all, I am relatively new to the android rooting scene. I have looked into it before but always became discouraged by the amount of different informaton from different sources. I am a little bit familiar with flashing processes as I used to install CFW onto Sony PSP and PS3 devices. However there's a lot of new terms that I am soaking in and trying to figure out what it all means when it comes to phone rooting. I am currently using a Sprint Galaxy S5 Sport running Lollipop 5.0, with build number, "LRX21T.PVPU2BOH1" and Kernel "3.4.0-4445742 August 6, 2015". I've been looking around and every time I think I find a reliable source for rooting I see a disclaimer saying only works with certain build numbers, and mine doesn't seem to be any of the builds I have seen. A Google search of my build brings a total of 5 searches wit no information regarding it. Anyways I am looking to successfully root my device, install a working recovery mode, and if possible, install a ROM. I have searched through threads and scrounge up some information about the SM-G860P but not enough for me to go through with the process with 100% certainty of success. I also hope that this thread can be useful to other SM-G860P users and a one stop shop for all the files needed to safely root, backup, and restore files. Basically, I know it can be rooted using Odin and CFAR on Lollipop 5.0. But the steps after that I am unsure. Do I install TWRP, CRM, what ROMS can I install, what kernel do I need. Thanks in advance to any developers or members who can provide all the proper links to attain my goal.
I have a very similar build. I have successfully put on root, and CWM recovery, but, any attempts at custom roms have failed (assuming due to kernel), and I am unable to get tethering working, despite having root.
Followed http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-galaxy-s5/development/recovery-cwm-s5-sport-sm-g680p-t2907945 for recovery.
I rooted following something like: http://www.android.gs/root-sprint-galaxy-s5-on-android-5-0-lollipop-os/. The key was using the auto root, then flashing the update via CWM. Had to make sure CWM was installed, as flashing using stock recovery caused issues.
Tried to flash CM12 from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-galaxy-s5/development/rom-adulterated-cm12-5-0-2-t2987665
But ended up in a boot loop.
I'm also scared to put xposed framework on, since most saying need to use a custom rom or else phone will bootloop.
Using most of the methods to tether, (like adb settings global or sqlite), tether_dun_required keeps resetting back to 1 after turning on tethering, so, I still haven't found a solution to that. I'd love to hear from anyone who's got tethering working on SM-G860P with lollipop.

Need help with Samsung Galaxy Amp 2

Okay this is my very first post. Let me start off by saying this is like my second Android phone. Previously I had the Galaxy J1 thru verizon but never had any issues. All my other phones have been all iPhones and I don't know anything about Android rooting/flashing etc. I've switched to Android recently after having practically every iPhone since the original. My problem is that I rooted the Amp 2 following the instructions from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/galaxy-2-rootable-t3384285/page4. It worked, the main reason why I decided to root the phone was to gain more system memory which I'm disqusted that Android takes up a lot of it's OS or w.e in its system memory and to bypass Cricket's stupid tethering block on the $60 plan without the mobile hotspot. Once I flashed the file provided via odin and rooted with kingroot, I would get a security notice that unauthorized changes have been made and that I would need to reboot my device, that was fine with me but I did so only to find that the message still appears every fifteen minutes so I disabled it with the package disable pro that I bought on the google play store. The problem I'm having is that I can't encrypt my phone and
SD card. Everytime I try to do so it wont work and I can't even get the SD card to mount properly so I unrooted the phone with kingroot and restored my phone back to factory. Still the same issue.... For whatever reason, it wont let me encrypt the phone again and I cannot get back whatever pictures from my SD card I had and a backup of all my contacts I imported from my J1. All I wanted was to try a custom recovery and ROM but I want to make the phone stock again because I been having so much issues. Like I've stated before I don't know anything on Android rooting and flashing, only iPhone jailbreaks. If somebody can help me out that will be great. I understand that the phone was given to me for free by porting over my number and that I can easily get another Android for cheap but all I want to do is get some assistance.
I downloaded the stock ROM file but I can't seem to flash it in Odin or using the recovery mode if that makes sense to anybody reading this thread. I've tried clicking the AP box to select my file but its a zip file and I can't get it to work.
Helppppp
Bump need help recovering back to a stock ROM. I must of screwed something up. I've downloaded the stock Rom over the internet but I can't seem to get it to work by Odin. CAN SOMEBODY HELP CUZ I CAN'T EVEN DOWNLOAD ANY APPS OFF GOOGLE PLAY!! PLZ HELPPPP
