well here's the thing you can do whatever u want with it..you can put ANY mp3 sound you want its not embedded into the boot animation..
thats just MY " own" mp3 i made.. you can still just grab the full screen boot animation of decepticon and add whatever sounds u like..
with PushBoot.. you can put 2 files to do the bootup.. bootanimation.zip and "any" mp3 file of your choice...
sorry , i know it doesnt make sense that its autobots.. i just liked the sounds of optimus talking
Nice, but for some reason the sound isnt working for me, I have tried pushing it through twice

Yep they are both in the same folder, I had another bootup and sound before I switched to this one. I didnt know if I had to switch something else because the sound clip was too big or what. Oh well animation is still pretty cool

I'll try to take a look when i get home. I'll post it if I get it fixed.
All credit goes to Meltus from G1 forum. I use this on my G1 and gave it try my transformer and it worked great.
Please make a nandroid backup before you attempt this.
Please place files attached below in same directory as ADB!!!!!
adb remount (sudo adb remount for linux users)
- wait for the 'remount succeeded' message
adb push AudioFilter.csv system/etc
adb push AudioPara4.csv system/etc
adb push AudioPreProcess.csv system/etc
Please find files attached below.

thats great wonder how tinny they ate going to get at full blast after this mod.
How big of a difference are we talking here?
its probaably the only thing Im really dissapointed about is the speakers on my Transformer. The speakers on my iPad 2 are so much better than these. A well deserved MOD
Can't seem to get the adb remount command to work. Says I dont have permission.
i tried using everyting in the attached zip, but cannot tell a difference.
after i send the files.. is there a setting i have to turn on?
i tried powering off and on my transformer and theres no difference..
so i'm wondering if i am doing anything wrong?
I would assume that as this is dealing with system access you need to be rooted for this to work, so mentioning that in the first post might be advisable. Also, details on what it actually fixes might be nice. If it's just volume levels then this can easily be done with apps from the market. Cheers.

Well, not for everything. Only to protected areas of the filesystem.
The changes these file should max out the speaker without distorting the speaker. The transformer speakers is horrible. The edited files should max the speaker even though it is horrible. I noticed the difference when I have the head phone plugged.
Tried this and there was the sound of distortion even with no music playing.

As said above, Volume+ is one. Or basically type the word 'volume' into the market and get about 20 apps pop up that will do the same job. There's also one called 'Equalizer'.

Would be awesome if we could get some sort of LCARS (Star Trek) Boot animation, theme or full launcher whipped up
Could anybody edit the boot anim linked above to work on our Tab?
This is it at correct size but no audio. Ill see what can be done there so stay tuned...
EDIT: please send full credit to original artist who made this animation as I simply edited their wonderful work and really have not done anything that amazing... the art and care taken making the original on the other hand... fantastic work.

Yeah... haven't had a chance to look at it again as I did that post on the fly and got sidetracked (yes this IS the normal track, everything else is side) about to investigate further.
Ill whip up a flashable zip if i can get it going.... with that though just root explorer into //system/media replacing the old one and setting the permissions to match. Or absolute system tools will get you there too. Just find //sdcard/goodies/bootanimations and place the zip into another folder. Fire up ast and select downloaded boot animations and it will find it and let you install..

Sorry for the delay guys. Must admit it wasn't till I did a cache wipe I noticed the issue. I'm on to it though and I think I know how to fix. Stay tuned.
@anyone. I can't get the audio to work. Ran a script I found in another animation that puts sound onto cm7 of some variation but it just doesn't work for me on overcome. I've tried a couple things with no joy but I wasn't sure if mp3 would be compatible as the other notifications are all ogg. At any rate ill tweak it to loop till boot is finished but if anyone knows something I don't about getting the audio please don't be shy. Lol. Absolutely no expert or even anything more than a tinkerer with good fortune for the most part so any advice or help is (usually) welcome... ;-)
K this new one loops at least. Will try a couple more things on the audio but no promises sorry.

Sorted. Pop this (Power_on.ogg don't rename or capitalize) in //ect/ and set permissions to rwxr-xr-x and its all good.. oh and may as well update the boot animation in //system/media as iv add a smoother loop and a small delay to get Audio lined up close. Flushable zip if i can get to my pc before midnight...
fingers crossed it works for everyone else too but for reference im on Icarus atm....
EDIT: LOL Its gonna be super hard to to do that though unless i trip and fall through space time back an hour and a half as it 130am now... nighty night then

I dont supose there is any chance of a port of this to the Galaxy Note.
I used root explorer to take out existing kings boot animation from custom rom and put in the one would android pissing on apple. I put it in system/customize/resource. That's where the old one was. I tried it with the name that the original had "hTC_bootanimation.zip" and even "bootanimation.zip". The old one still pops up and it's not even on the system anymore. I wonder if it is in another location also. When I viewed the old one by clicking and viewing it, for sure that was what boots up. Has anyone seen it is multiple places? Thanks
Checkout data/local to see if is there.
I had the same thing happen when I tried to change mine. I took the olds bootanimation and moved it to my sd (to save it) and put the new one in the resource file, but for some reason it didn't work there so I put it in the media file, rebooted and it worked fine.

To get most games compatible with the S4 HTC One X, we need to edit our build.prop file to match that of a Galaxy Note.
Also, there is a multitouch bug in AOKP and CM9 right now where if you hold one finger and put on another, as soon as you pick up one finger the system will stop recognizing the other finger as well. This leads to a really annoying FPS experience. I'd recommend running another custom ROM that is built off stock for now if you plan on playing a game that uses this type of control.
1. Navigate to /system/ and open the build.prop file from a file manager of your choice that has root access (I prefer Root Explorer from the Play Store)
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
2. Change the following values to the ones in bold:
ro.product.model=GT-N700
ro.product.brand=samsung
ro.product.name=GT-N700
ro.product.device=galaxynote
ro.product.board=MSM8960
ro.product.manufacturer=samsung
ro.build.product=galaxynote
The values are case sensitive by the way.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
3. Reboot and then try to download the game data again. There should no longer be a "This game is not compatible with your device" error.
Having issues? Make sure there are no other instances of ro.product.model in your build.prop. Some ROMs may do this. If it does have another instance, delete it.

I will add more working games as people tell me that they are working through this method.
I know the games downloaded via the gameloft website have been working fine, but for those of us who download the games from the market from other devices and want to download it on our S4 HTC One X now, this works.
Thanks to thatg for originally providing me with his build.prop file that he modded.
Please thank this post if this helped you!
Also, I don't take responsibility for any games that you might buy and then expect to work but they don't. This may not work for everyone (it should, but still) but if it doesn't, don't blame me for making you spend more money :/
Will this allow us to actually purchase the game from gameloft or the play store or do we need to already have the apk?
Edit: I was able to download it but I am getting the not compatible error. Are there other lines in the build.prop that need to be edited?

I believe it has been working fine from gameloft.com, since they have some special "for evita" section on their website or something. I personally have never bought off their website though.
The apk from the market doesn't work with the HTC One X though, so I just grabbed the APK from my old device and put it on here, did the mod, and it worked.
I'm not sure about whether it will allow you to download the game from the Play Store, though I would assume it would now and no longer display any compatibility issues.
Also, what game were you trying? Did you reboot after saving the changes?
I couldn't download it from Gameloft but did from the play store. I just edited the build.prop again to reflect the SOC that's in the Note (MSM8660) and am rebooting now. Hopefully this works.
Edit: Still didn't work, there's gotta be something else that needs to be changed.

This just made my day. I loved this on my iPhone and was pissed as hell when it wasn't compatible with our phone. Thanks man.

Can someone post a video/pics of NOVA 3 running on your S4 One X?
PS: About the special effects, Hamdir from the international One X forums thinks that the resolution is the deciding factor for whether the game will run with full effects or not. Supposedly, if the 3 dot menu button is there, the game will run with full effects. If it isn't, then the game won't run with full effects. i.e if your resolution is lower than 1280 by 720, then it'll run with full effects. Can anybody confirm this? Additionally, Chainfire3d can also be used to get the full effects running. Link to original post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27306438&postcount=39

Google Wallet isn't working because it doesn't have the correct permissions. Doing this won't help unfortunately.
I have a question about this method, Since we can spoof the system check to get these games working, do you think it is possible to spoof so it looks like a oneX T3?
So we can get some of the Nvidia games going, or do the software checks also look for hardware?

It depends I guess. Some games have very well written code to prevent it from running on other platforms. Dark Meadow comes to mind.
One way is to run Chainfire3d or Chainfire3d Pro, but that seems to only have limited success.
As for games like NOVA 3, see my post above

There are a few effects missing but not many, the game looks ridiculously good. I had this on my iphone 4S and of course it had full effects on that thing, and the difference between the two is negligible.
On a side note, once the game is installed and all the resources downloaded, you can revert to your old build.prop and the game still runs.
