[Q] Rom Stock HTC One Mini - HTC One Mini

I need to flash stock rom ( Vietnamese version) to my HTC One Mini because it got stuck when i update ota 1.32 version :crying:. Please give me a link to download stock rom for the newest version in VietNam. I'm not sure whether or not to flash the stock rom from other regions

I don't know of any roms with Vietnamese built in, but you can use MoreLocale 2 to download a Vietnamese language pack (the screenshots look dated, but it works just fine).

About roms
I mean that whether or not i can flash roms from other regions without problems. If you have a newest version stock rom, please give me.

If you just want a stock experience you can do a factory reset by powering the phone off and then holding the power button and volume down buttons at the same time till you get to the bootloader screen and then select factory reset.
If you want to flash a different rom it should work, but you might have connectivity issues so just make sure to make a nandroid backup before in case anything goes wrong. I'd suggest Jmz's Stock Rooted DeOdexed WWE Rom. Uhm... once you unlock your bootloader your /data partition gets erased so you won't be able to download an OTA, but I'm sure they'll figure out a fix for that in the future.

Roms
I know that i can factory reset but i desire to update to the latest version through flashing roms. However I have a huge problem with OTA, it sucks

Can't Downgrade from Gingerbread to Froyo Samsung GT-S5570

Hi,
I tried several times to downgrade my firmware Gingerbread to stock Froyo rom but the process end up with a black screen. What is the exact procedure to Downgrade?
My current firmware version is Gingerbread S5570XXKPJ and want to go back to stock firmware.. can anyone recommend me a froyo stock firmware. I tried a one pac installation firmware name S5570DDKC1 and did not workout.
Help me plz
Ive seen with several phones you're unable to downgrade from certain roms and are advised to keep your backups before you go to GB because the only way to go back from a GB rom to a froyo rom is to restore your backup.

try like this: download S5570XXKB1, flash it in Odin...if it doesn't work you can try to use ClockWorkMod to format /system and then it should work...
Thanks a million for the reply guyz... i did figured out by my self.. Actually downgrade does not support flashing one package installer. It requires multiple files flash like, Modem,CSC, Code and all those flash components.
am now using froyo successfully
how did u do it I have the same issue

[Q] about installing ROM when a Firmware flash is required

There's a couple ROMS I'd like to try that are requiring a FW flash (ARHD_ICS and Virtuous Inquisition).
My question is; once the firmware is updated can you re-flash older firmwares back to the device in the event I want to try something different?
yes you can revert back to an older firmware if you wanted
Yes you can, but you have to do it all at once.
Since the ICS ROMs won't boot with old firmware, you need to put the PG58IMG.zip for the old firmware and the GB ROM you want to flash on your SD card at the same time.
Reboot to bootloader, let it flash the firmware.
Turn the phone off and remove the SD card, then boot into recovery (if you do not remove SD you will get stuck in a firmware flashing loop) - then when you get into recovery, put the card back in and install the GB ROM.
sensation stock & old firmware

OTA update wont run after going back to stock from MOD

Hi am having a problem after going back to telstra stock after being on rohans JB build 3. It was really bad at connecting on LTE so I wanted to go back to stock where I have less problems. So now the 4.0.4 OTA update is available which fixes the one of the main reasons I found a ROM, that stupid settings bar.
However when I reboot to install the OTA it just boots into TWRP (v 2.2.2). I cant manually apply update from within recovery. It just gives an error. If I reboot from recovery nothing is applied.
Android v 4.0.3, software version 1.89.841.9
Do I have to get rid off TWRP or find a RUU and and apply that image? Was there some boot locking thing I need to do through abd to get the OTA to work?

Pretty sure you have to relock your bootloader and run an RUU to get your phone to true stock. Then OTA. Although, if the RUU was based off 4.0.4 you wouldn't have to OTA. You can always re-ulock your phone after an RUU as long as you have your unlock token and/or super CID.
Did you just flash a stock ROM?
Also, pretty sure there are 4.0.4 stock ROMs out there that you could flash so you wouldn't have to relock your phone.

Thanks I restored a backup I made before flashing the ROM. Might try and find another ROM to see how 4G goes.
Fixing a connectivity issue on one custom ROM is not a good reason to go stock. I think the OTA needs stock recovery, so that is why you are getting stuck at recovery. Even if it works, you lose root. Its a step backwards, so why would you want to do that?
Just flash a ROM based on 4.0.4 from Development. You can pick a custom ROM, or a stock rooted one (safe to flash from TWRP), if you want stock.
If you are rooted, don't install a OTA or run RUU (unless you are trying to fix a soft brick). Good rule for any Android device.

[Q] 4.4.4 OTA Update from 4.4.2 rooted and unlocked with Mods

Thank you guys in advance for your help but I just had a few questions. I am running 4.4.2 currently with the stock rom rooted and unlocked bootloader. I have however issued a few Mods such as extreme power saving and built in tether. Can I just load the 4.4.4 firmware and radios, switch back to stock recovery and take the OTA to 4.4.4 without having to wipe anything or since I have used some mods do I now have to wipe my device and put everything back after getting the 4.4.4 update. The reason I ask is I like having the stock features while just using google now launcher on top of sense. Also would any of you have a recommendation on a ROM to achieve this same thing so I dont have to go through this everytime I want to take the newest OTA if it is not possible to take without wiping.

Flash the ruu here. That will get you to 4.4.3 the easy way and make you 100% stock so you can take the ruu. Then flash twrp and flash su or the rooted Rom of your choosing.
The RUU is one way to go, although I would never update via OTA...
Another would be to flash the firmware and radios from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2723159
And then Scott's rooted stock rom from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2914922
He usually has them up a few hours after a new OTA has been released. Even better - try his stock, debloated CleanROM once it's out.
This way you can keep your recovery. You can even try to just flash the 4.4.4 firmware and radios and see if it runs your current 4.2 ROM ok. But I would not update the rom from version to version without a wipe.
The setup is the price to pay for getting a new and hopefully better Android version.

How to update an Verizon one M8

Hi all
I have a verizon one m8 which runs stock 4.4.2 it is rooted, s-offed by sunshine and has TWRP recovery.
The LTE bands are open but when there is an available LTE network there are some network problems and many disconnections occur. (mainly when entering the LTE area)
I tried some various fixes but nothing worked so I want to update to a customized lollipop firmware.
I did search a -lot but didn't find what are the steps to update.
Can anyone guide or direct me please?
Huge Thanks
Parnuk
If you are just looking to update the firmware here is a link for you. If I were you I would consider a newer ROM to go along with the new firmware.

thanks!
Some more questions please :
Can my current Rom run with this newer firmware?
Will it still be rooted?
What are the chances to get bricked
To get a newer Rom, should I wipe and then install it from twrp after the firmware update?
last one: this all has nothing to do with the recovery, right?
Sorry for the nooobity, it's all so different comparing to my old SGS

Great, the latest twrp didn't work on my current firmware.

You can but the chances of something going wrong are higher. Flash TWRP with fastboot, then firmware with fastboot, then ROM with TWRP is your best bet.
