Hello! I tried installing a new kernel on my G2X from this thread. I used the CM DL over the DS.

I believe I made the mistake of clearing all cache instead of just the Davlik Cache and am unable to get ROM Manager as I fear I may have wiped it from my phone. Subsequently I am stuck in a boot loop after the LG screen loads and just get a black screen.
I tried flashing my ROM back to Stock ROM from NVFlash and was able to do that successfully. I could not continue with the steps in the thread below past Step 5 as I just get a black screen after the LG logo loads.

Did I permanently brick my phone or is there a way to recover from this? Thanks for any help!
You need to flash cwm 5020 with the nv flasher. Then you can install any rom you want and boot successfully. It sounds like you are not installing a real recovery. Any other questions just PM me or email at [email protected]. You are not bricked.

hi, I installed cwm using rom manager and now im stuck in a loop where I cant get out of cwm.
I have tried downloading 'exitrecovery.zip' but cant flash it as cwm recognises my internal storage as the sdcard and I cant get into /removable/sdcard using cwm.
does anyone know how I can sort this? I have a cwm backup so im happy to wipe the system somehow.
any help is appreciated. thanks
if you have a nAndroid backup just restore it with cwm!

Same: Auto reboot in recovery
I tried to flash prime rom 2.1 and soon after that i flashed the pad with revoler4 beta 1.3, it was a success but with i rebooted the pad the blue progress bar never came up and since then it keeps rebooting in recovery mod. and my bootloader is still locked.
Any solution? guys pls help..
Does powering it off then turning it back on work?
I was running Cyanogenmod9 on my SGH-I727R when I got into a bootloop. I reflashed stock Rogers Rom and still stuck in a boot loop. Any help please?

Can you please be more specific?
What screen are you exactly getting, the boot logo then a reboot? are you getting a recovery screen or do you bootloop not into the system but into ClockworkMod recovery?
The boot boot logo then restart. same thing with the stock rom it would boot into the Rogers logo then restart
Have you tried formatting through recovery? formatting can be found in mounts and storage.
yup, when I get back home I'll see if I can darkside wipe. see if that will help
That should help a lot. It should definitely work, make sure you install a Custom ROM and not a Stock ROM.
Make sure in future situations you don't install a stock ROM if your current ROM is a custom ROM, this can cause problems and will not fix problems. If you want to revert back to Stock ROMs after installing a Custom ROM I highly recommend you use Fastboot to flash the image. However there are tutorials and instructions on how to use Fastboot efficiently and properly so you don't mess anything up.
Cheers
Thanks again, darkside wipe worked. I have no clue what bricked it in the first place though

No problem Wiping everything would've worked too lol!
Help please :crying: I just bricked my phone and I am not able to unbrick it . First , it requires you to install adb driver but I didn't not enable usb debugging before the brick . And I cannot flash the factory image . Any ideas how to unbrick without enabling usb debugging ?

What exactly did you do with the phone?
you don't need USB debugging to flash stock images. Your phone just need to be able to boot into fastboot and have the bootloader unlocked.
What happens when you press/hold power button for 20 seconds?
USB debugging is an ANDROID setting therefore only works or applicable when you are booted into Android

My phone is stuck at boot animation
I am in a dire need to your help. i just got my phone to stuck in the boot animation. This is what happened
i had a nexus 5 for 6 months, it was rooted and had xpose framework installed. Yesterday i updated my xpose app to the latest and installed an xpose module "Call blocker". but after one day use, i realized that it was making my nexus slow and i was suffering from low performance. So today i decided to uninstall this app, by going into settings>apps>call blocker and uninstalled it from there. Just after that i rebooted by phone, but it got into the boot loop (reboot after finishing the boot animation).
This is what is already tried:
I downloaded the nexus 5 image from google and extracted it. I flashed all the stock images (from bootloader) but now my phone is stuck at boot animation. i also installed CWM recovery and formatted system, data, cache and all options that were available, after that i flashed it again with stock images, but still stuck in the boot animation (circles keep on spinning forever).
Please guide me... I can't think of any more ways

Are you sure you have flashed all the stock images? If so, then head to the stock recovery and perform a factory reset and then reboot. It should boot up.

Another newb that doesn't know the difference between fastboot and ADB, two of the MANY things you should be well-versed in before tinkering. Please head over the general forum and read the stickies.

Thank you for all your support. I was able to restore my phone back to normal. What i did, after flashing the stock images, and I rebooted my phone to recovery and wiped the user data and cache. Although i tried if previously but i don't know why i didn't work than. May be, it only works just after the flashing of new/stock rom. Anyjow its good now. thank you for the support
Thumbs up XDA :good::laugh:
I rooted my device. Everything's all good.
I flashed a rom (xposed framework) using Flashify.
My phone started going crazy after the reboot.
Now I'm stuck in the samsung logo screen.
I need help.
I dont have TWRP Recovery or anything else. My recovery is still the Android Recovery.
I have tried wipe cache and wipe/factory reset. Nothing works after rebooting.
My option right now is downloading a stock ROM and installing it via Odin.
Problem is, I don't know if my phone is region locked and I cannot find my region/country stock ROM.
So I'm going to assume any of them will work as long as it has the same android and build version as my phone.
I cannot access my phone.
Only able to go into recovery and download mode. A normal boot will just stay stuck on the samsung logo screen for hours.
Any help is appreciated. I am very new to this, please help me.
Which device?
