I had been using Clean Master before rooting and flashing Cromi-X.
Question, do I still need to use it to free up RAM with this ROM?

Android is supposed to free RAM automatically when needed.

Yes but it doesn't always do a very good job. I use a cache cleaner which helps. Also killing apps does improve things no matter what android says.
So I guess it would not hurt to keep cleaning RAM, can't hurt and may help.
Thanks for all you guys do for us noobs, I love what you have added to my tablet, the last two or three OTA's have been terrible.
Try using greenify to hibernate apps instead of killing them. It's supposed to be safer and work better than killing apps if I am correct.

I applaud your unbridled optimism Sir.
ASUS hinted at this yesterday on FB. Their post "When Mr. Jellybean is in the office, it means something good is coming."

I've learned from the TF101 ICS update - be careful what you wish for!!! For those that don't know, my (and others) TF101 has basically become very un-reliable since they introduced ICS.
While I truly *hope* we don't have such issues with the Jelly Bean upgrade, I certainly don't have a lot of confidence in Asus at this point.
I just hope that they don't rush it and test it properly before releasing it and forcing the upgrade on us (which is exactly what they did with the ICS update on the TF101).
I do know that my TF700 has some of the same ICS issues that the TF101 had (OpenGL out of memory errors, for example, which causes your launcher to go "blank")....

Great! Very exciting news to wake up to!
When Firmware actually starts dropping DON'T FORGET TO!!
*Side load your FLASH PLAYER. If you want flash. It will no longer show up in the Playstore any longer
*Revert back whatever modding/altering to system files just in case Rooters. Only if you want your OTAS to actually complete. Or if running a custom rom it wouldn't work anyways as you already know.
*Don't forget to backup your Root with Voodoo Ota Rootkeeper! You will definitely lose root if you don't
Time to obsessively check every 5 minutes for the update!!!

*sighs* I want all my devices to run Jellybean today, here is to hoping it will happen.
As I'd normally recommend rooting myself, I don't think it's necessary in this case. Why not just install .apk with Flash after allowing unknown sources? I believe it should suffice, although I don't know if it's any different with the JB system of permissions.
No need to root to install Flash on Jelly Bean. At least not on the Nexus 7.

I can confirm - my father just bought a Nexus 7 - I emailed the Flash app to him and he was able to install it and it worked without any rooting or anything.
He used Boat Browser (per my recommendation) - not sure about other browsers, but I assume it work with all expect for Chrome, of course...

To everyone who wants flash, the easy way is to place the apk somewhere on Dropbox/Google Drive/Physical medium and install it from there, also since this week Adobe Flash Player is not available in the Play Store. http://www.pcworld.com/article/260901/android_flash_player_rip_how_to_get_it_now_that_its_gone.html

Everyone remember to backup the files created by titanium backup themselves to a removable SD card or your PC.
As for JB, I am not sure we can expect it for the TF700 right away ... the TF300 is so similar to the nexus 7, I'm sure they only slightly modified their nexus 7 kernel.
Is it just me or does anyone else thinks it's wrong that Asus updated their cheap tablet before their flagship?

No, the tf300 probably just happened to be ready first. It would silly to make all of the tf300 wait a few days just because the tf700 wants it first lol

I just wondering if you execute my suggestions correctly? anyway the only thing you could do is make a nandroid backup, then use twrp to do a
factory reset, wipe system, wipe internal and format data, then reinstall CRom, once bootup lauch map and see if gps is working, when prompt to enable gps, make sure you enabled them.
I will try this

Try to apply the gps.cfg from Pimp my ROM. You can do this from the PMR apk so you don't have to flash anything. It has definitely helped for mine to acquire more sats and locks in quicker.
My Transformer Infinity has been sluggish for quite a while now. Several months back I went through the process of unlocking/rooting and installing CROMX on it to hopefully solve the performance issues I am having with the device. Allthough at first I did see some improvement it has again degraded over time. At this point, I think it is time to look into some other possibilities as far as a replacement because I don't think it satisfies my present needs. I think it is still a great device that someone else can get some good use out of.
Based on that, I am trying to prepare it to possibly sell it. What can I do to return it to factory settings and clear it of all my data?
Thanks

I think that's 2 oxymorons in one short sentence!
The most reliable( =stable) kernel is not going to be the fastest - ever!
And not worrying about ROM comparability is just nonsense - you cannot compare kernels separate of the bootloader/rom they are paired with...
That said, as of now, Hund's kernel on Cromi-X provides the best Quadrant scores (for what it's worth)..... whereas I consider _that's v4 to be the most stable (have been running v5 only for 24 hours, but I'm pretty sure it's just as stable)

That makes a lot of sense. You answered my question even though I made no sense. Thank you very much! I have a few more questions if you don't mind answering
The ROM I'm running is cromi-x but even when I was running stock I have been having wake from suspend issues. When I go to press the unlock button it will some times go to the unlock screen than go back to suspend as if it times itself out when not receiving user input (even when I'm giving input), other times it stays in suspend mode and I have to reset the tablet. Is this one of the common latency issues or is this just my device (or a ROM issue)?
If I want to change the kernel, do I need to reinstall the ROM or is there a simpler solution?
Thanks again

You can switch to another kernel without touching the rom (most developers provide a package that can be installed from a custom recovery) but the kernel must be compatible with the rom currently installed, meaning that you can't install a stock based kernel on a Cyanogenmod rom and viceversa.

You can download the "kernel installer by Sbdags" and they are all compatible with his rom. You may want to wipe both caches.. Good luck..

Sorry to be such a pia stickler, but I again don't quite get your question. Did you have the problem of unresposiveness on wake on stock and you still have it on Cromi-X, the other way around or neither?????
Actually, it's not normal for either: stock or CROMi-X, although the tablet tends to be slow on wake if you have Wifi disabled in sleep because it then updates email and whatnot on wake.
My suspicion though is, that you did not do a clean install, meaning doing a Factory Reset in TWRP before flashing Cromi, going from stock to CROMi-X. If I'm right, backup user aps and data in Titanium Backup, do a Factory Reset in TWRP, then restore your apps and data from TIBu.
I have been considering making my own rom for the tf700 and thought that it would be nice if I could port the tf701 stock rom or the new CROMI- X rom over to the tf700. Is this even possible? I thought that if I swapped out the kernel and the drivers that it should work is this true?

It indeed belongs in the general section.
Rom can't that easy be ported because SOC is totally different and it would bring simply too much work and even maybe it is impossible.
You may be able to port parts of the framework but it would be a massive amount of work. One issue is the files are much larger in the TF701T ROM due to the higher resolution meaning that even after you massively deboat the stock firmware it is hard to fit into the system partition. It is possible to maybe get it running on rom2sd but considering thee minimal changes in 4.3 over 4.2 I don't consider the effort and amount of debugging worth it. Don't forget we have a boot loader and kernel for 4.2 so there is some work to do first to get it to even boot.
Feel free to have a go though
