Anyone have experience this? It seems when I install my favorite launcher on a fresh rom a wallpaper appears that I thought was deleted. Where can I find these things and get rid of them myself for good?

I have a very complicated widget set up, but I would like to try some evo 3d roms. I know someone is going to say don't have so many widgets, so I'll save that person the trouble. But is there any application, hack or trick that will restore full home screen after flashing a new rom? Someone must know something.
I use go launcher currently and I backup my home screen. But after the flash when I go to restore the backup it's not there! All the geniuses on this forum I know someone has the solution!

I guess titanium backup might help you if you have rooted ur device. you can back up all ur apps (take home screen backup on go launcher) with data. Then after flashing new Rom restore ur apps. I guess go launcher will be restored with data(home screen backup). You can now restore home screen from back up that u had taken on go launcher. Not sure if this would help as i use launcher that comes with Rom i flash.

Thanks! This is the frustrating part of flashing roms and such. If someone invented an app that completely restored home screens with widgets after flashing they'd be rich!

Nova launcher does this but there are risks with doing it. Android is not set up to allow it. Even with Nova it states that if you allow it then it can see everything that happens on the screen from then on.

Can I import my Go Launcher set up to Nova?
Sent from my PG86100 using xda app-developers app
No. You would have to set up nova from scratch and then save the backup

I recently flash CM10, and I lost all my stock GS3 applications that came with my s3. I would like to know where I could get them all and how to install them, Because I know they will not install just by putting them on the SD-Card and trying to install them that way.
Thanks In Advance...

Pretty sure you can't use some sammy apps on cm10 you'd have to flash back to stock.

did u flash gapps package after cm10?
I think he is looking for touchwiz applications that will work with CM10, if im readin correctly.
go to the "My Apps" on Plat store then to All Apps and it they might be there, most of them were for me.
If you want TW apps don't flash an AOSP ROM...

If you are running a custom ROM, some will allow Google to redownload them through Playstore, but some dont. I was using SynergyRom and I had to re install all of my apps manually, but Ive since switch over to CleanRom 2.0 and when my phone rebooted, it already started downloading and installing my apps right away that I had on my Stock out of the box Rom. Everything you download and install from PlayStore is backed up on Google servers(If you have the option to back up apps checked in settings) for easy reinstall on a new or different device or if you have to do a factory wipe.
check play store alot of verizon apps are there
Has anyone been able to get the jelly bean lock screen that has the circle with the quick launch apps around it? I tried searching but to no avail I found squat. I'm running the ota jb update rooted

Check some of the touchwiz roms, they have it, if you read the op description.(which I doubt you do)
I'm not looking to re flash a new rom. I'm just looking for a way to flash a fix over the rom I have that changes the touchwiz one.

I'm just starting to learn some of the development side of things so this could be a dumb question....
I really like Wicked Sensations ROM on my sprint s3. I've gone back to it several times. But I wanted to try out the Carbon ROM. I haven't been using carbon long enough to decide if I like it. Anyway I like the signal style on WS. Since I have that mod file on my SD card could I flash it and use it on carbon? Is it ROM specific?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
That would be something for the op of the mod to answer. It all depends on what the mod changes/adds, and the framework of the ROMs. You could always just make a nandroid, flash mod, and see if there are any problems.

I guess that was my real question. I couldn't see it doing anymore than causing an error but I had to see if anyone had tried and it caused a major error.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
In case anyone was wondering it actually kind of worked. It changed the WiFi icon but not the signal icon.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
You could just pull the images from the mod, and replace the images in the rom also. Great thing about android, you can change anything!
