[APP] "Re-Odexer By Mohit" - Android Apps and Games

"Re-Odexer By Mohit" is an app that i created for my PMP ROMs
I don't know or i didn't searched if there is an app like this already or not. I created this app for my PMP ROMs so finally i am just sharing it.
If its working on other ROMs also then thats great :good:
What it will do?
It will re-odex your all system apps(system/app) and makes your phone faster.
Disadvantage:
You will not be able to edit files for theming.
And if you wanna do the editing stuffs then just use any one of the deodexing scripts from xda forum. There should be many. Or just reflash the deodexed rom.
To odex again just run the app again.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Put app in system/app using any root explorer(If you want this app should be removed automatically after work finished) or install app normally as you install other apps(you can remove it manually later if you want)..
Run the app and allow superuser permission
Your phone will reboot and will stuck on boot. Dont panic have patience, app is doing its work.
Then your phone will reboot again normally and you are done.
To confirm, use any root explorer and go to "system/app", if you find .odex files for each app then all is good.
You can also do this- If you are having any app from Android Market and you are experiencing that app takes time to load then put that app in system/app(make it system app) and then run Re-Odexer app. After Re-Odexing, that app will also load fast.

[MOD] ALL APPS in multiwindow

HI, here is the mod to have all apps in multiwindow bar!
Based on N9005 with Omega v.1 and working good. Need testing for other versions...
Just replace Service.jar in /system/framework and FlashbarService.apk in /system/app. Save the original ones just in case!
Reboot and enjoy!
Note: there is a little bug when adding some apps it's another that be added in bar but not a big problem.
I can't make it work. On my stock firmware. I try to replace both of the files. But the multi window option not appear. And also it make my pen-window broken. I can't create any pen window anymore.
Thanks
tnx for the effort but it doesn't work...u can't even open the multi bar.
good I kept a copy of the original files

Yes you need to be deodexed...
I'm currently using this app from the play store with success:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bjbinc.mwmphone
It'll walk you through installing the xposed framework when you first open it, then you can use the app to modify available applications (reboot needed after).

ODEX 4.4.2 Kitkat

I just wanted to tips you guys running 4.4.2 kitkat custom DEODEX rom about this.
"Would you like to speed up your rom, more stability, more battery life, no lag to open system app and better ram utilization? Now you can! (Only For Rooted Phone And Deodexed Rom)"
"What is ODEX and DEODEX?
In Android file system, applications come in packages with the extension .apk. These application packages, or APKs contain certain .odex files whose supposed function is to save space. These odex files are actually collections of parts of an application that are optimized before booting. Doing so speeds up the boot process, as it preloads part of an application. On the other hand, it also makes hacking those applicationsdifficult because a part of the coding has already been extracted to another location before execution.
THEN COMES DEODEX
Deodexing is basically repackaging of these APKs in a certain way, such that they are reassembled into classes.dex files. By doing that, all pieces of an application package are put together back in one place, thus eliminating theworry of a modified APK conflicting with some separate odexed parts.
In summary, Deodexed ROMs (or APKs) have all their application packages put back together in one place, allowing for easy modification such as theming. Since no pieces of code are coming from any external location, custom ROMs or APKs are always deodexed to ensure integrity."
"Another explanation is this:
If you odex the rom, you'll have also more space in data (this is important because if you don't have partition ext4 in sdcard, you won't have too free space), increase battery life, more stability and increase perfomance( the Rom is more faster to load system and app) but you can't modifie apk after odex (you can't mod program with classes.dex).
Infact ODEX is an OPTIMIZED-DEX and Android load system and app faster than deodexed (DEOPTIMIZED-DEX) app and system.
When you have a deodex file (a lot of roms are deodexed) you have File.apk in system/app and in data/dalvik-cache/[email protected]@[email protected], but with odex file you have File.apk in system/app and File.odex in system/app"

[MOD][HOW TO] Enable 'hide application' option in SecLauncher4 NF4

Hi Guys.
it seems Samsung removed the option to hide applications in the app draw for the new NF4 Update.
I use this feature a lot so decided to bring it back.
its a really simple mod and shouldn't cause any problems.
ill assumed you know how to decompile etc.
OK Lets get started.

Navigate to SecLauncher4\smali\com\android\launcher2\Launcher.smali

In odex roms you have 2 files
Something.apk
Somerhing.odex
If you put the modded seclauncher4.apk (deodexed) in a flashable zip, that would only replace the apk keeping the old odex file (which has to be deleted someway).
So since one has to go to system priv-app to delete the odex file, why not just replace the seclauncher4.apk too to get mod.
Unless you want to odex the file again after modding it and put both apk and odex in a flashable zip ).
Yeah i get that mate. If i was to make an odex version i would do it properly. But ill only be making a deodexed one and stating that its done for a deodexed seclauncher
Or add a line to updater script that will delete the odex file first
