Can someone help me out as I am new to all of this... I have searched a lot of tutorials and threads but cannot find anything that makes sence to me... or something that does not mention root.
I am using a Samsung galaxy tab 7.0 (p2610), and I flashed a jelly bean update successfully using odin. I am not rooted.
I have a system update in the notifications window that is stuck there, that is not working (process fails), this is due to the csc code being in great britain.
I am in Canada, I have Odin ready to go, can someone please show me how to change the CSC of my device to Canada?
Where do I go to download the appropriate file? After I assume I load it up in Odin with device in recovery mode, and flash using the "CSC" option in Odin correct?
Any help would be great.

after towel was released at&t released a update which fixed the patch that was used to root in towelroot. I have heard that there are alternative rooting methods which I have tried that involve Odin. For some reason though when I try to use Odin it always told me fail and after a certain amount of tries in bricked my phone which is now in a boot loop. can someone help get me out of that bootloop?
I also have another question. Can't you just flash a older version of android to your Galaxy s5 and then use towelroot to root it?
(I am very new to this rooting experience and I would appreciate step by step guide)
Than you
You probably had "fail" message because you hadn't disabled the option "Reactivation Lock" in Security settings before using Odin.
To fix your phone, just boot in Download Mode, then flash a working firmware for your S5. Do you how to do that ? Can help you if needed

Yes you can, but prefer using newer version for you'll have better performance and security updates.
I recently download the kingroot apk to root my Samsung Galaxy Core Prime from metropcs. Out of nowhere in the middle of night my phone just shows pop up " Custom Binary blocked by FRP". Can anyone help me fix this problem? I reviewed a couple of forums where it talks about using odin or something but the file for the firmware doesn't exist. Can anyone assist me with this problem I am a complete noob when it comes to technical issues.

I have a t-mobile s3 that was at one time rooted then updated to the latest firmware root was lost and never rerooted. I was running the latest update totally stock no modifications. The phone wont complete the boot it just hangs at the end where the samsung is going from blue to white. The phone will go into download mode and recovery however when i tried to do a factory reset on it it failed. The device is not rooted so i cant flash a rom to it. I dont know how to fix it. I dont know what version of odin to use and am not sure what rom to put on it or if i can even do it. I connected the phone to odin and it said s4 mini so I am thinking that is not the version of odin to even try and flash the stock firmware. any suggestions on how to fix my phone or if it can be fixed?
Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
I cant post a link for you but you can go to Sammobile or samsung-updates and use your model number to find your stock firmware. I'm sure there will be more than one android version for your device so choose whichever you want, just be mindful of which ones are rootable or not if you want to root it again at some point. Then use at least Odin version 3.09 or newer, make sure you have the newest version of "USB drivers for Samsung phones" installed.
If you have more questions or need further assistance you can post your question in the forum linked below.

I have rooted this phone and bricked it before, boy when will I ever learn, well this time for some reason Odin cant help me, I've tried and it always get hung up on nand. write then fails, I have tried switching usb ports, I have tried different stock firmware versions, I have tried different versions of odin, I have tried oneclick unroot, I am at a complete loss, is there anyone who can help me figure this out? I am pretty sure i didnt OEM unlock, and twrp is loaded on my phone but no OS apparently. i think i may remember ticking repartition with a sm-n920t pit file flashing with the stock firmware atleast once.
Phone: Samsung Galaxy Note 5
Model: SM-N920T
S/W: N920TUVU2COI5
Try downloading the stock firmware from another site. I use to have the same problem. Make sure you download the correct stock firmware that matches the model number on the phone.
Download N920TUVU2COI5 firmware or download the latest N920TUVS4DPH2 firmware or just use smart switch emergency recovery option it should work

The firmware that you are trying to flash is giving you the sw rev error because that firmware is an older/downgraded version than the version that is already on the phone. You have to flash the firmware that is the same as what is already on the device or a newer version, you can't flash an older version. Find the newest, most updated firmware that you can find for your specific model number.
Do a Google search for:
"Stock firmware for SM-G935FD"
Then find the newest available version that is made for your specific region/carrier.
