Update Tipo 11.0.A.4.22

Hi all, my tipo is rooted and its got in the notification bar to update to 11.0.A.4.22, if I updated would it mess the phone up being its rooted. It has no custom rom on it.

Yes, you may lose root. You can root again using unlockroot.
Or flash the new firmware with flashtool, without wiping cache or data.

Hi there. I plugged the phone in but when it gets to updating on the sony software update page the phone shuts down and it stays on updating for a couple minutes then comes up with phone update error saying sony update engine failure error 100, any ideas??

Hello,
I had a similar problem, couldn't update my tipo through the phone directly, I did it with PC Companion.

I think that it wont be released, theres a lot of updates in this link which has not been released

2 of them were not released as Sony was soon releasing jb.like 7.8 and 7.10

its probably just another bug fix update, I've already stopped hoping that sony will give us updates which will make our phone have those features similar to higher end ones (unless you install custom roms of course )

.31 firmware has WiFi bug in a lot of countries " middle east and south Asia" I think that update for fixin it.

yeah i tried...but pc companion couldn't detect my mobile as mobile is not switching on....it just stop on the sony logo screen with pink color led light(not red)...!!!

Why not u try again flash the tft ,

Me too faced this, install latest flashtool and the issue will be resolved :laugh:

Our phones will not get another update from sony..

Hi guys i just read at xperiablog and they said that our phones will not get another update from sony..u guys can check the official sonymobile software support page..but i've noticed something..that only xperia e didn't have android version overview..other had it and it says 'latest and final version' means it will not get any other update from sony anymore..will xperia e had another update from sony maybe??

I agree with Sony... Xperia J is "old" device,they need to focus on new one. We must be happy,we get 3.4 kernel and JB. Isn't this enough for a phone like is Xperia J (with just 1ghz,375mb of ram,blablabla..) ? :cyclops:
If u don't like it,buy new phone.

Xperia L won't get Kitkat

i just read that our device can't taste kitkat officialy from sony. even sp tooo.. may be sony will give us a 4.3 update. anyways am looking forward to CM rom.

Meh, everyone knew how small the chance is for XL to be updated to 4.4. At least we'll get 4.3, hopefully.

I've read that Kitkat is so close to be finished by Cyanogenmod. :victory: I'm so looking forward to release.
Sony will never give us Kitkat officialy.. (in my opinion).

But it isn't official yet, I'll just waiting for official Sony Mobile and Sony Developers statements...

Yeah, but just wait.... From that website, that is not Sony website or Sony Developers website, and Sony didn't confirm that we will or will not get kitkat or 4.3 yet.

Yes, but if you want to you can unlock it. It isn't hard. I 've seen here topic how to do it somewhere. But some of XL cannot be unlocked thats true. We'll see

When an official cm comes no one would care about buggy updates from sony.. Seriously i don't want my proximity sensor to be turned on always..Sony makes us users or testers!???what abt u ppl?

yes sony very stingy to update the device that may be considered "cheap" or "old".
They only make upgrade for "Expensive" devices like xperia Z Family.
