Almost the same problem here after I installed an update (don't know which one). I get the HTC Quietly Brilliant and then it reboots until it runs out of power. Hooking it up to a computer, wall charger (tried two different ones) shows the red LED charging light for a while, and then it reboots. It seems like my battery just wont charge, so I can't reset or flash back original ROM. It just shuts off after a couple of seconds. I can go into recovery if plugged to a computer for as long as I like, but as soon as I try to flash, it turns off and goes into reboot loop.

How to force One S into charging?

My One S had been dead for quite some time and I have two batterys which probably both are dead.
When I put my phone charging, first the led will go orange, then the led will get green over time, but the only thing that gets the warmer is the motherboard and when I try do switch it on it does the usual battery-empty-better-flash-the-bottom-row sequence. Any ideas?
This all hapended after a screen change so not sure if the screen is ****ed or the phone.
Is it possible that I might have a boot loop where there is no screen action?
When I connect my One S to my computer it says properly villec2.
When I try to boot it, it just stays black and vibrates after some time like its rebooting.
Any ideas how to fix this? I can't boot into bootloader or recovery.
After some messing around all my PC says that its a Android 1.0 device. Which might mean it's in fastboot mode?
All help is appreciated. 2 beers for the guy who solves the mystery. :good:

HTC One(M7) Boot Problem!

Hi i am new here and was hoping that i get a solution to the problem that i have been trying to figure out for a few days now. I searched a lot before posting but wasnt able to find something related to this. My phone is an HTC One M7 and i was trying to update to the latest OS when the phone stopped booting into it after the update as it got stuck at the boot screen. So i waited for an hour until i decided to shut it off and when i tried restarting it, the phone stayed stuck at the HTC logo not even the ONE logo screen.
So i read a few suggestions and went into the bootloader > recovery and cleared cache and then restarted the phone as per the instruction i got afterwards. This time it kept cycling around the boot screen and black screen and so on. So i again went into bootloader and decided to *power down* the device till i was able to learn what to do next but to my surprise, the phone doesnt boot anymore into whatever there is - tried Power + Vol down, Power hold etc.
The phone charges though and is currently at 100%. So i am right now in a dilemma as whether to continue trying to fix this by myself or just send it to the service centre where they will charge around 300$ for this to get repaired while telling me that something got fried on the inside.
Thanks in advance!

Phone keeps rebooting while charging.

I have a stock HTC One S from T-Mobile.
My phone freaked out (blinking and not responding to keys) the other morning and I shut it down by holding the power button. It was extremely close to dead as well.
I've only been getting a flashing orange light and not the constant one for a charge. While it's plugged in it will reach the "HTC quietly brilliant" logo and restart.
It keeps doing this forever.
I've tried going into the bootloader but it freezes when I try to clear the data or do a factory reset.
As of right now I got it to stop rebooting by using the shutdown method in the fastboot options after ~10 tries. It has been charging ~30 mins and the light is still flashing and not staying constant.
I can't afford another phone. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Bootlooping.

I haven't got any experience whatsoever with any of the tools for this phone as it's my girlfriends. Her phone has started bootlooping after an overheat. It flashes the htc logo goes black then flashes it again a few seconds later. Even when I go into recovery it just reboots again a few seconds later. After it starts I have to wait till the battery is completely dead before it'll stop. Any ideas?

If she never rooted/twrp her phone, and you stated it was after an overheat, you're definately facing hardware problems. If the phone can't even stable boot into recovery to do a factory reset you're out of luck as trying it could result in hard brick.
Check if the power button isn't cloged with dust and is working properly...(if the power buttons is causing the phone to reboot the led buttons will flash 4-5 times)
Just my two cents...
