Hey guys,
I really don't know what to say. If you like this app, press thanks, if not leave a comment with your reason.
This application uses the infrared blaster built into our phones and sends datas to your XBOX to make something you wish happen.
I am not really sure how it will work with Xbox One, I've tried it only on Xbox 360. And as well there is a limitation, this application will probably work only on newer Samsung devices with the IR blaster. On my Note 3 it works pretty well, but I have no clue of S IV. So if you have on, try it and let me a feedback down there.
If you have any note or you want to help to translate the application to your language, feel free to contact me.
Big thanks goes to Tobias Bielohlawek for his example of reflection and using IR blaster.
I am note responsible for any damage or every other bad thing, you may do by using the application.
Application v1.0 below, install like normal application.

Hey guys. I've recently picked up one of these watches since I've read that it will somewhat work with the n5. The main issue that I have is the fact that when paired the watch shows up as a headset instead of a watch which my zwatch showed up as. Because it pairs this way I cannot use a Bluetooth headset cause all audio is filtered to the watch. Is it possible to edit Bluetooth profiles of devices or something? Thanks for any help.

It only works with Galaxy devices natively. It is possible there is a hack out there to make it work with the N5, but I haven't seen one.

Did you download Gear Manager? Secondly, I believe it may pair as a Bluetooth headset because you can make and receive calls directly from the watch.

Yep audio gets directed to the watch. I've managed to root w/custom ROM on the gear. But the biggest thing I've got to get working is notifications on the watch and audio on the BT earpiece. No luck so far.

Yep I've had gear manager followed all tutorials and got notifications working, its just the fact that I can't use a BT earpiece. I wonder if there is a Bluetooth file somewhere that determines what kind of device is paired to the n5, and if so can it be edited so the galaxy gear is showing up as a watch instead of another earpiece.

I'll have to ask my dad but as far as I can remember whenever he used the Galaxy Gear with his phone he never used his Bluetooth headset and I'm wondering if its because the watch is now considered a Bluetooth headset.

I have a good news for you , downgrade from tizen to Android is possible and very easy, it's toturial ( how to )
If after downgrade your touch screen isn't working, don't panic You must flash evrything again and evrything works perfect, i too update, to tizen and back to android.

any solution or idea ?!?
Think it might be device specific. I have a note 2 with gear 2 Neo and no Golf Navi, gear navigator, etc. Decided to reset and pair neo to my work phone (galaxy S4) and they showed up. Tried downloading application to S4 then backed up apk and loaded on note 2. Application installed on phone OK but failed to install in gear manager. Not sure if this applies to all scenarios but this was my experience.

I am a developer and I have published Gear apps
Developer can choose group of devices and can also select regions and countries
I do select always all devices and all countries.
If the developer decide to select some devices and only one country, the the app will be published to the selected devices and to that country only
Why? I don't know!!
If you can't see my apps, then the problem is in your side
check "My Gear Apps" topic
Actually can see your apps in gear manager Lux and Thank you for your work on them. Looks like some GPS based apps (at least in my case) are being excluded from the Note 2 running 4.4.2

this is what the developer console of the app store shows to me now:
<see attached screenshot>
I tried asking them what is the reason for it, but got referred to a standard app publishing paragraph..... as usual.
In total I have asked them 13 questions now, never got a real straight forward answer on my questions.
I wish there was a way to call them and speak with them on the phone.

It is a filter problem caused by the Samsung app store. Currently, they filter the devices manually like so: Gear 2 + Galaxy S5, Gear 2 + S4... and so on, which I think is kinda dumb. My apps on there are filtered for 55 combinations. I'm sure they are missing a lot!

Another (for me) big issue is this: if a guy send me for example this text on whatsapp:
"Hi andre"
"see you at 7"
"at usual place"
in my watch i can only see "at usual place" but i miss 2 previous messages..... when i can see him?
Ok i must open whatsapp on smartphone but watch loose his utility...
(sorry for my english, i hope u understand what i mean)
I have exactly the same annoying problem. Only the last message is kept in the Gear 3. This is a huge step back. I have browsed the internet but have not yet found a solution. What you want is being able to read back ALL new messages of whatsapp!
I made an app to address this exact issue. The name of the app is Whats History. You can find it in the gear store. There's a demo video on that page as well

Yhank you! I am very much looking forward to that, as history threads tend to get extremely lengthy.
But where are they stored now on the phone/app, because there must be some way to find and then delete them manually? Any timeframe for this addition.
Again, app works like a charm, but this is a bit inconvenient! Thanks a million!

All entries are stored in a database that you cannot access unless you have rooted your phone. Only 50 messages are stored per contact though... I will try to update this feature right after Christmas.

I can use the Gear App on my S7 Edge to see the watch battery state. Can I use the watch to see the phone battery state?
After all, the phone is usually on my wrist, where I can see the watch battery level. The phone is in a zipped up pocket, often under a heavy waxed jacket.
I use the Glympse app on the S7 to broadcast my location when walking "off-piste" in forests. If the phone battery gets low, I can switch Glympse into low energy mode, but that means fishing around in my outdoor gear to get to the phone in a zipped up trouser pocket.

Ah... I love the default watch face on the S3, and wouldn't want to change it. I first saw it on an advertisement on the back of the Christmas edition of the New Scientist magazine. I almost bought an S3 on the spot. (but had to wait a few weeks for funds)
Perhaps I need an app on the S7 to send audible warnings as the battery level drops.
There are dozens of watch faces that show the phone's battery state.

Ah, but perhaps it's the watch battery that gets depleted?
I think I'll just get used to looking at the phone, but in the meantime I've installed Battery Notifier Pro on the phone so I get notifications when the battery is down to 25%
I just need to see if I can get the notifications from Battery Notifier Pro to show/sound on the watch.

Watchmaster is still under review in Samsung Store so the only way to load it on the phone is by building the Watchmaker app in Tizen Studio and pushing it to the phone, all in all a small pain in the butt. I've noticed that on any of the Watchmaster faces my watch face usage is over 30% of my battery usage. There are many more faces available than with Facer but at a cost. I've found the best all around way to get faces is on Google+ in the Watch Face Pros community. All those are GWD faces easily loaded with Gear Watch Designer.

You will need a Samsung Account ID to get an author and distributor certificate before you can build one of the downloaded watch faces. Both certificates can be obtained from with GWD and are free. Make sure you use a password for the certificates you can remember because you need it entered into GWD when you build a project. You can also copy the two certificates into the GWD directory to make it easier for GWD to find them.
After you get those, just download a watch face, change the extension of the downloaded face from .zip to .gwd, load the project in GWD, build it, and run it on the phone, all from within GWD. There are pretty good directions online. Also remember to have your watch wifi set to always on and debugging turned on in the watch. If you don't do that, then GWD can't find the watch.
EDIT
LOL, forget everything I said when mentioning Watchmaster, I meant Watchmaker. My auto correct was changing it every time and I didn't notice.
