Hello everyone,
Today I've published my new app. It was the first time, that I've developed a game. The app started as a project in a class of the university I'm attending, but I didn't want to leave the code half finished. Some parts are open source.

Really nice game, really clean look and easy to play. But you probably need a more subtle sound when the ball hits the bat. The current one is not nice, I turned it off immediately. A tiny little click or pop would do. Ta.

@V4lve: You are absolutely right, I like the retro theme's sound more as well. But it's hard to find a good ball hit sound, which is free for commercial use. But I keep searching.

Nice game : ) The development with the android SDK is clean and bug free (Y)
You might want to increase your coverage to API 2.3+ if the libraries you are using allows it, since the game is not gfx heavy and might runs smoothly on low end devices.

Yes, I'm already using one of their sounds in the retro theme. I've mentioned the source in the licenses overview.

I have my first app up. It's a fun action game of matching color or shape. It includes a simple single-player mode, and a multi-player mode. I have some ideas for more to add, but my wife is already addicted to it, so I thought I'd get it out there. So far, I've tested only on a Samsung Facinate.

It's called Shape Battle, and can be found easily through AppBrain and the Google market. It's free, and is going to be ad driven.
Good game. Its like uno but with shapes instead of numbers. It took a minute for me to understand exactly how it worked. Pretty fun though.

Would a little tutorial or some popup text help?
Was the AI too easy or too difficult?
A small demo of how its played might help. Took me about 30 seconds to get it not too difficult. The multiplayer wont get any play from me cause no one is touching my phone haha.

After playing the game myself:
It's pretty much fun and fast, but I would really enjoy a multiplayer via wifi / internet option, because the 2player option is nice - but srsly, two people on one Samsung Galaxy S....if I want to cuddle, I normally just call my gf
And yes, a tutorial would be nice, but not really needed, you get the game very fast.

Thanks for checking it out! I could do something with local wifi play pretty easy. Making internet based play will take a bit more work. I'll see what I can do though!
Also, has anyone tried this on a Droid? I have some reports of freezing after trying to start a game.

R800i CM7.2 (FXP-107) :
~ Gives me a "No Data Connection" error whilest on Wifi / Edge / 3G and FC's.
I play LoL a lot and I was delighted to hear that I could play something similar while on the go. However, I was very disappointed, isn't anything like LoL. How the hell do you expect us to control 3 heroes at the same time?!?
This is a good games, maybe its campaign mode need us to control 3 heroes at same times, but not for multiplayer.
Let see how the multiplayer match work. Hope it not just online, but via local wifi too
I'll try this out, if it'd be kinda cool if riot just made mobile platforms. Like a queue for PC and a queue for mobile players. But if you wanted to you can queue up with your PC buddy for bot matches and what not.

Just to share my experiences, I downloaded this a while back and was not impressed. The controls (touch controls as others have pointed out) were not nearly responsive enough, the game ran poorly and was very choppy and it really pushes a rough freemium model for a single-player game IMO.

I recently found this free, optimised game, for the Play. Your quest is to dig deeper and deeper underground, digging out gems and bringing them back to the surface to make money. At the bottom of each mine (level) is a super gem- when you collect that and bring it to the surface, you move on to the next mine.
I tried it last night and ended up playing for over an hour! It's very good and well worth a download for free.
It's great to see more and more developers are considering optimisation as a must when it comes to developing.
Maybe we can share our impressions of the game in this thread?

Looks like a copycat of the old 1984 game, Boulder Dash. Your a robot who goes through digging to find gold and jewels.

Grand Battle is a great combination of building and strategy. It is complicated, but in a good way, you actually have to think about where you put which type of units so it can be most effective.
It recalls the memory of games in older days. Pleasure of playing the game, somehow you get the urge of getting some revenge. Lots of fun when having this game at hand. For some parts, it is really good to even share with the children to let them arrange their own strategies.

This game is totally based on gravitation and physics. Unordinary gameplay makes you to predict the way of falling blocks. Connect 3 or more blocks with same color to gain points. There are 3 gameplay modes - easy for beginners, medium for amateurs, and of course insane mode for hardcore players.

Me neither, and their website: http://unitforge-studios.com/ only has the one game, rolling pals: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.UnitForge_Studios.Rolling_Pals I am assuming its removed because of the TETRIS name?
