Hi,
since I don't have over 10 posts here I can't post in the development thread so i have to make a new thread.
I'm using carbon rom. With sultan kernel the phone reboots sometimes when i want to turn the screen on. I noticed that the reboots appear when I open a picture in gallery and turn screen off and then try to turn it on again it reboots. Also it reboots when I pull the notification drawer down while phone is locked and turn the screen off. Most times it will go off and when i try to turn screen on again it reboots, sometimes it reboots when i try to turn screen off.
With r35 the problem with notification drawer was solved, but with r36 it's there again.
Hope it's understandable what I want to say.
Edit: okay I upgraded to latest carbon rom, now both things dont happen, but when i get facebook messages or whatsapp messages the notification drawer doesnt work.

So first off, I'd really prefer to use the stock messaging app over Handcent. I just like the feel and look of it better. However, I am having a rather annoying issue where notifications of new messages aren't coming through correctly. I have it set to turn on screen and open quick message on receipt, but usually the phone just vibrates and the screen turns on to the lock screen. Some times the screen doesn't come on at all. I'm currenly on the latest CM10 nightly, but remember this problem from when I was running stock (which was why I switched to Handcent in the first place).
Another thing I've noticed - this happens on Handcent and Stock Messaging App - is that in the quick message screen new messages appear twice or sometimes three times, but inside the app itself the message is only there once. I would love some help here.
Thanks!
I recently got the s3 and installed the GalaxyMod R12 on it, but every so often, when my screen times-out, I will hit the home or power button to turn the screen back on, and the phone is frozen. It has happened in several apps, built in messaging app, games, email, browser, and the common theme is that the phone is frozen and the app is in landscape mode (whether I was in portrait or landscape mode before the screen timing-out has no effect). It doesn't happen often, but it is very annoying because I have to remove the back and the battery.
Does anyone have any idea as to what could be causing this? Everything else works better than I could imagine, it's just this one thing .
Note: this also happened with the R11 version of the galaxy mod.
What kernel did you choose on the install? Try flashing a stock kernel or another custom kernel and see if the issue goes away.
I installed imoseyon's kernel (because I didn't quite want to overclock yet.
Either disable everything in the lock screen settings except AOSP Lockscreen or do this method taken straight from the Galaxy Mod OP...

Q: The phone keeps freezing when I go into landscape mode.
A: This has been covered many times in the thread, but to reiterate: If you are using the AOSP lockscreen you must disable "Ripple Effect" in Settings -> Lock Screen -> Lock Screen Options

My OPO was running Multirom with CM11S as main rom and franco as main kernel. After updating to 38R it randomly rebooted about 20 times a day, so i decided to do return to 100% stock (except open bootloader and tamper bit) by following this tutorial. But that made it even worse. Lots of app not responding dialogs popped up at first start and it was really laggy after that, also it still rebooted randomly. Then i reflashed twrp through fastboot and installed Paranoid Android 4.6 Beta 5 + pagapps (19.10) after i did a full wipe. This made it even worse. On the phone setup screen, it couldnt connect to google services. After i finished the device setup screen, the screen stayed black except for the notification bar and onscreen buttons. It's like i dont have a launcher installed. When i open settings through notification center (which works just fine) i cant get out of it. When i close settings in the multitask screen it the screen stays at the multitasking screen with no apps open for about 5 secons then turns black again. I thought it was a bug in paranoid android, so i tried flashing standard cm11 instead: same problem.
I now returned to 33R and it appears to run fine. I never heard of these problems. Has anyone made similar experiences or has a solution?
So hey folks,
This is the most strange issue i've experienced with my OPO so far.. Already had many random reboots since i manually flashed 38R, but this night Bacon screwed things up.
I woke up, seeing my OPO in a boot loop, it was super hot aswell and has drained the whole battery. So i connected my charger, did a reboot.
'Android is upgrading. Optimizing apps.' - OK so far, but only a total of 106 apps (With my last runtime change to ART, it showed 188 apps..). W/e.
Now it comes. Phone boots up - language defaulted. Whole settings reverted to stock. Apps are still there, but data is lost. :crying: Media on phone is untouched.
Suddenly i see these super strange buttons - they are NOT in their usual CM11S-Design!! And i did not change any visual stuff. [Attached Screenshot of notification screen]
Top right button to switch to quick actions does not work anymore, no reaction.
Home button completely not working aswell.
Also if i shut down and charge, the charging animation is completely different and colored instead oft OPO's normal one.
Restart menu back one low-level functionality aswell..only restart and shutdown possible [Attached Screen]
It's like my phone reverted itself to half generic android.
Guys, what the Heck happened?!
I mean, i will prolly just hard reset and reflash my phone later this day, but really.. WTH is this?? Any similar experiences so far? Or any Problem solutions?
Thanks for your time and replies..
Wasnt able to post in OPO Forums so far (server error >.>) but will update this thread if i get more info.
Attached screen shows that Rom status seems normal..
Hey guys
i have a little problem with my Oneplus One. I'm running on Temaseks unofficial build v4.0 with AK kernel 0.76. but the same problem goes on slimsaber.
the problem i have is that often when i get a lockscreen notification from whatsapp + or other applications, the OPO restarts itself. before it does that, the notification light comes on and when i double tap or use the power button to wake the phone, the screens stays black. it takes nearly 3 seconds before it reboots itself and i can't find a solution. it does not happen everytime, mostly when i get a whatsapp notification from whatsapp. but that is not uncommon, since the most nots comes from whatsapp+.
So i guess it is the AK kernel or the 5.0.2. Android rom itself. anyone else got this problem so far?
What i tried:
Fresh installing the Rom, no dirty flash, tried to deactivate the lockscreen notifications, tried to turn off the not light. turned off the notification from whatsapp itself, all that doesn't help.
Sometime it reboots even when the screen is on, after i taped the screen, when i got a notification, but it only appears when the screen is off.
Any solutions? Or someone got the same prob?
Regards Mike
EDIT:
okay i solved the problem myself. Seems to be a problem with AK kernel. tried it now multiple times with and without AK Kernel and without the lockscreen notification works good, with AK it reboots nearly everytime. Would be great if someone could contact the developer, since i cannot answer in his thread itself. sorry and thanks
