Installing now
Install went flawless. Initial run a little choppy. Restarting in a little bit to see if it clears up. Great work dev!

Yeah, I tried this and it works well.

I think it's almost safe to say that this ROM is on par with PAC-rom. Excluding a few minor responsiveness issues on first boot, it works very well.

I tried this ROM a month or two ago (yes, I saw it on goo.im before you announced it). And I remember it being EXTREMELY laggy with random reboots. Has this been fixed?

It has been fixed and lags only on first startup. Afterwards it runs as good if not better than PAC-ROM

Really nice ROM. No issues at all for me.

Still seems really laggy. Max CPU set and even after a few reboots.

First off, thanks for everything. Amazing ROM, probably the best one out there for the HD 7... Thank you, and everyone else that contributed, you made my day.
This ROM, like most new ROMs, still has some bugs. Here are the ones I found:
Play store default DPI is a bit awkward...
I flashed the tweaks, and some stuff improved, but there is still a lot of lag throughout the ROM (typing, unlocking, etc.)
3d acceleration is meh, a good amount of animations and games lag.
Game orientation is hit or miss.
Home screen borders? are kind of weird... Here's a screenshot
Overall, great ROM, love it. Lock screen is a really annoying bug though. Oh yeah, crt-off animations don't work either.
Thank youuuuu

Thanks for this ROM. So far no issues at all. Not getting the lag that I was getting with other roms. Using tweaks you linked to though tbh not sure if they improve things or not. All I know is that I don't have to wait 5 mins for the regents page to load up anymore. Thanks again for the great work.

I'm eyeballing this ROM. Liking them BAM and Paranoid settings. Might have to try it out.

For the trebuchet layout try to set in paronoid prefeference/application in/trebuchet to set to 217 the first valute

First off, this rom is quite snappy. I like that. A real nice pop when using it. Dig the BAM wallpapers too. The rom has the same issues that CM did in it's infancy. Home screen flips when pressing icons. Some of the Google apps are not compatible. Amazon Cloud and the new Angry Birds Star Wars 2 to name a couple. There were some other things too that slip my mind at the time.
I look forward to using this rom when it matures a bit and using it becomes more easier. For now I have switched back to CM 10.2 Great work on the BAM rom though.

Next time don't quote the whole OP please.
it's too bad paranoid doesn't allow for more precise DPI for system ui it only goes by increments of 10. Looking to get it to Nexus 7 DPI which is 213

Isn't Jellybam not allowed in xda?

Looks very promising, just unlocked/rooted my N7 yesterday, nothing seemed appetizing till I saw this :good:

What does the following entail:
"Forced Tablet Mode with DPI Changer"
can one change between 2 modes from within ROM?
Looks awesome!! I have Liquid ICS 1.5 on my Thunderbolt so its only right that I flash Liquid on my Nexus 7

Is this built with Linaro toolchain?
Ok, installed the ROM (full wipe and couple of reboots) and it's missing some things, gmail, play...etc!!
Edit 1: I see now a zip in 1st post "LIQUID JB GAPPS PACK", I'll check it out!
Edit 2: What do you know, flashing the zip was the solution! looking good.
I see some interesting tweaks in settings....more feedback later

Looking forward to installing this version. I liked it a lot when first released, I can't remember why I ever switched. Too many ROMs and perhaps some A.D.D inspired flashaholism *shrugs* ;~) Thanks for all of your hard work.

It's false (as Uber said) and not an elegant way to advertise.
Video error bug
I'm getting a "this video is not authorized for playback on this device", message on certain websites like espn. I swapped out the browser apk with a generic one and still got the same message. Also setting the wifi signal bar color does nothing and adding the kill all apps button doesn't add a button on either regular or tablet mode. I couldn't find a setting to get rid of the Google search bar or a setting to remove the menu button from showing on the home screens so I am using nova launcher for now. Other than that everything is very quick and smooth, browser works better on this rom, I've yet to have it pause while opening websites like I've had on other roms. I like the fact user agent was made available without having to use the about:debug method to access it.

Works best if once you get your apps installed you reboot (wiping Dalvik doesnt hurt) before you really start using it as there are quite a few processes that are run at boot

Bump. Any thoughts on this? Also, is it possible to customize the navbar buttons? It would be nice to have the stock appearance with Google's back, home and recents icons rather than Moto's. These are just minor things in an overall awesome ROM. Thanks in advance for any info!
I have experienced a lot of FC's and screen flickering. I am using the latest KTOONEZ 5/29 kernel with this build
Just a quick question. The OP says that Bluetooth MAP is functioning on this ROM. Is that still the case? Seems that there has been some difficulty with MAP since google borked up bluetooth with 4.2.2. I've yet to find a non-TW ROM that properly supports MAP I have a Ford and when MAP works properly the system will actually read my text messages to me. It's not a critical feature but it is quite convenient. Any info offered would be great.
Thanks,
Ray

We would like to thank CyanogenMod for giving us an easy foundation to develop
ChaOS for mutiple devices. And of course Hashcode for all the work done on the various Kindle Fire devices which has made this build possible.

Although I've built this as an experimental build, so far it's running quite well. If you are not familiar with ChameleonOS, check out the links in the OP. This is a project myself and a few others started with the goal of providing an AOSP based ROM with some of the features found in MIUI. Since then it has become so much more as we add some of our own features that have not appeared in any other ROM, at least not until they cherry picked our changes
Feel free to let me know of any issues you may find. I will point out one thing I am aware of and that is enabling Tablet UI when in landscape. Don't do it! Make sure you are in portrait when switching to/from Tablet UI. Other than that, please enjoy the ROM.

I highly doubt it, I think it has to be built with files for the kf2. If you flash this it'll probably brick your device. Anything here is strictly KFHD7.

I highly doubt it, I think it has to be built with files for the kf2. If you flash this it'll probably brick your device. Anything here is strictly KFHD7.

Running on the Kindle 7 inch 1?
I own a Kindle fire and I have ran a few roms from this forum on it. It is a kindle one and not a fire its a 7 inch. I am running Hellfire right now and it runs great but it came from our forum for the gen 1, I do know that I have tried to flash a lot of roms from this thread and probably 3 out of 5 have worked so I am not sure why people are bricking. Anyways, has anybody tried it on the kindle one?

I would first like to say tht this is custom firmwre, your warranty is now void, also please do not blame me if ur phone dies, makes u late for work, or pocket dials ur significant other while ur with ur other significant other... You are fully aware of what can happen by flashing ur device so, make sure u are one either CWMv6.0.3.6 or TWRPv2.6.1.0+, now enough said let's do it...
1) Download ROM and place in ROOT of storage where u have access...
2) Full wipe is required, data, system, dalvik cache, and cache 3x each (3x is a persomal preference), if u want to dirty flash updates please do not complain to me about issues as i have stated the obvious about flashing gapps over gapps...
3) Flash ROM, DO NOT FLASH GAPPS, gapps are included in build and will cause severe lag/RR/FC's if flashed on top
4) Reboot ROM and let sit 5-10 min BEFORE setting up, as to let things settle (not letting her settle will cause issues and laggyness)
5) Now that she's sat for a min, set ROM up and follow with 1 more reboot, or reboot and then setup..(I always setup then reboot)
6) ENJOY PRO-bam ROM, this thing is fun, so many options and settings, how can u not love it???
DO NOT FLASH GAPPS, THEY ARE INCLUDED IN BUILDProBam v4.5 Android Version 4.3.1 Skyrocket

Is the email app fixed in this? When I was using PAC, some apps would open in Tablet mode and the email app was messed up when you opened it up to set it up. I did make sure Phone mode was selected and the DPI was the stock 240, but it didn't work. Thanks.
Sweet rom. Thanks Kiltnar .

That was the fix for it when it was in the testing phase. It should be the fix. I think other ROMs that enables PIE may have that inherent problem

That is all I did here to when I was setting it up. I couldn't press the bottom of the screen from the homescreen. Pie kept popping up. I went into settings to turn it off and it was already off so I turned it on then back off. It worked for me. Everything works great now.

No not a bad download. That's just the way it is. Small price to pay for an excellent ROM. Keep an eye on this @Kiltnar fella. He's going places.

Yep. The default is on even when it says off. For easier setup try adding a little bit of down swiping when pressing the lower keyboard. This was the easiest way to get thru setup for me. As always YMMV. Your mileage may vary.

Lol, That happens. XD. I hope you guys enjoy this one. This is compiled with Linaro. It's been super solid for me the last couple of days. If it starts lagging or anything a quick reboot fixed this, also if the home screen doesn't display your apps just hit the icon for the app drawer, they're there just not drawn. Seems to happen after a intensive app has been running, or leaving an app open for a long time while the phone is asleep.
Hope you guys enjoy, remember to rate the thread.
Have fun!

A very Nice ROM. I have been rocking it with android 4.4 aka Kitkat launcher. Solid.
don't know if it's in the ROM or not, but I can't find CM/Power toggles.

Awesome ROM. Thanks so much for this.
Was using CM 10.2 but I missed the features of PA and AOKP. Nothing against PAC or its devs but it just didn't feel that solid to me.
This ROM is great. Please don't abandon and I look forward to all future updates
Great job!
Any ideas if the locked screen notification works? If so, how can we enable it?

Wow, all these new ROM choices. The biggest thing I want though is one that the camera isn't broke in one form or another. Like currently on Slim it breaks switching from video to camera, or other ROMs, FFC is broke. I use my phone camera a LOT. That's the biggest feature for me. Had anyone flashed this and verified every scenario for camera works? Thanks. This ROM sounds pretty slick.

worked and then glitched out saying "camera can't connect" ... otherwise this rom is pretty nice for its first release. has the kill app feature!
About to check it out, thanks for contributing!

Yea, switching to video then back to camera locks it up. Then says it can't connect. I'm guessing the only way to get it back is a reboot....?

I don't what to sound like I'm just complaining so I do want to add though that I love this ROM so far. Seems very smooth and I love the built in lockscreen notifications.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
Although the camera works just as fine on AOSP than on a TW rom, when switching from video to picture and vice versa it can cause it to lock up and not connect.
NOT A ROM ISSUE.
I might just carry an actual camera with me and that would solve all my camera issues. Lol
One bug I noticed is that I have turned on the network speed indicator but it won't show up. I've tried turning it off and on again but nothing comes up.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
How do you enable the screen recording function?
1/30 build is running great for me so far! Though I am not a big camera user!
We'll see how battery life goes, so far my battery life has been terrible on all of the KK roms so far.
replace mms
so far i am loving this rom. i however do not like the default aosp mms app. i was using a themed one on my last rom (which was old&slows stock 4.3 touchwiz rom) and found some 4.4 themed aosp replacements. i can't get them to stick though after a reboot. i noticed that there is no mms.apk file in the system/app folder and that messaging refers to com.android.mms file. i need to know how i can change the default aosp messaging file with a themed one and make it stick through a reboot. also if anyone knows of a mod that works with this rom to change clock and icon colors in the notification bar that would be awesome too.
edit: Found a way to make the themed mms app work. had to rename the mms_signed.apk and mms.apk in system/priv-app folder and then flashed one of the themed files from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2519733
ended up working great. still looking for the way to change the clock and icon colors though.
At first I was confused as how to enable multi window but then I figured out that you can't have halo enabled at the same time.
This ROM is running fantastic for me. No issues whatsoever. At least on my phone its behaving how it should, and that is great. ?
Anyone else having issue with downloading apps from the play store?
