yes, but root is required.
Root, look in your data/data folder and copy and paste them.
However, titanium backup is more elegant solution.

+1 for Titanium Backup, although I prefer and use Helium.. It has much lesser features than Titanium Backup, but it has all the features that I need to have..
NOTE: A lot of people have a lot of problems with Helium, but I didn't encounter any so far..

search is your friend.
check the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=919958
Edit: As stated in the first post the drive mappings are different - external SD is /sdcard and internal sd is /emmc
This has implications for Titanium Backup when you try to restore your USER DATA (user data only, don't restore system data)
Copy the contents of /emmc/titaniumbackup to /sdcard/titaniumbackup using Root Explorer or similar.
Titanium will now see all of your old backups.
Thank You
Yea I know I should of searched more.. I'm just really busy lately and dont have much free time... Thank you for the post back...

Rather than making a new thread I'll post in here.
I was flashing some roms and backed up my apps at the wrong time in turn losing a lot of saved points in games and app settings. Can I just go back into one of my recent nandroid backups and copy the titanium backup files somewhere to replace the ones I don't want in my current rom? If so which ones?
The files your after are in the Titanium backup folder.

Lol this is obvious but which files do I need? There are several options in the nandroid folder like system, recovery, cache etc but their all img files? Again, I only have the files in my nandroid backup. My Titanium is setup to replace old files when a new backup is performed..
Thanks for any help in advance..

TB saves its stuff on the SD card, which is untouched by the usual Data/Cache/Dalvik wipes for a new ROM. Your most recent backups should be present no matter what.

OK lemme give some more info to help. I just got finished flashing my GB rom to replace my FR with all my settings widgets etc.. Once I had all the apps re-downloaded and thought I was ready to use titanium backup to restore all of my app data I accidentally did a backup instead, in turn REPLACING all of my original settings, saved games etc with just new games and all default bs..
So now, my ONLY option is to restore a backup I had previously when all my settings and games were where I liked them and then do another titanium backup to replace the new stuff. THEN, I have to restore my current GB nandroid to get back to my current ROM and then use titanium to restore my old stuff. The issue is finding which part of the titanium file I need from my Froyo backup to replace my GB backup.. Does that make sense lol?
I think I may figure it out but its trial and error.. I'll report back when and if I get it, just kinda sucks trying to do all this with root explorer and flashing everything over and over while at work..
If I'm doing this wrong please tell me but I am not seeing the easy way out in all of this..
You've got it right, do it just like that. Backing up / restoring Nandroids doesn't affect the SD card, but if you're paranoid you can unmount it. Restore nandroid, backup with TB, restore other nandroid, restore TB.

Coming from an overly hacked Samsung Vibrant - how to transfer apks?

Just got my Sensation and it is a very solid device; certainly much more solid than the Vibrant in respect to the hardware.
If the hTC is not rooted then how in the world can I restore all my apps that I have backed up via Titanium Backup? If its difficult than waiting until a root for the Sensation might make more sense and I'll keep using the Vibrant.
Thanks!

We have yo wait as we cannot even get temproot. I have all my backups in TB also but what's important to me is to freeze the bloatware..its killing the battery. If you can't wait just use the Vibrant for now till the bootloaderi is ulocked. I'm doing that with my MT4G but using the sensation 90% of the time. It sucks but we just have to wait it out

As I thought but thanks for the advice regardless.
I utilized MyBackup Pro which was installed on my Nexus One (rooted) to make a backup of all of my streaming applications. The .apk files are stored in your SD card under Rerware I believe.
Install the same application on your Sensation and make a test backup of a single application. Just so that it can create the proper folder directories.
You will essentially move the backup data from the SD card on your old phone to your new one and then perform a restore. This should work for most apps. Excluding the ones that need root access.
I saved my TB & system/app to my pc then copied it over to a folder on my Sensation and installed them from there.

Many thanks for this suggested method. Going to try this tonight
I came from the Vibrant also - MyBackup did save all of the apk's and system data to the Rerware folder on the external SD of the Vibrant. I put the SD from the Vibrrant into the Sensation and it did restore all of the apk's - NOT the data as the Sensation does not have root.
The only data I was able to restore was the call logs, sms & mms messages....
I also have a backup made in Titanium Pro, but it will not run on the Sensation without root. I'd love to have a way to even be able to restore saved apk's from Titanium.....

Can you back your phone to you're computer

What app do you Use
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
What exactly are you trying to backup?
If you already have a Titanium Backup, copy that folder to your PC
Also, SMS Backup and Restore, Call Log Backup and Restore and APN Backup and Restore to backup those items, then copy the folders to the computer from your phone.
We need a little more info to give you a good answer but that should help

To backup your phone, complete Andorid OS, system files, apps and all.....you need a nandroid backup. This you would acheive with Clockworkmod Recovery. This a complete 1:1 backup that will be an exact replica of your phone. Everything........you then copy the backup folder to your computer.
Now if you want a backup like syncing your files, music, pics and folders, you need Kies, which is the samsung software for this. HOWEVER, it may or may not backup your SYSTEM files and settings......I have not used Kies in a while, so dont know what it does anymore
And finally, you can use a file manager like Astro File Manager, Root Explorer and then copy all files to your external SD card.
Have fun !!
And u say I'm in every thread? I leave for a few hours and u handle all the questions lol, what I'm I supposed to do now?

What he said... ^^^^.... with one exception. .. a Nandroid backup does NOT backup the modem partitions (mmcblk0p17 and mmcblk0p13).

I agree with Uncle Irish, Titanium Backup will do all that for you.
To sync to a windows pc, just get my phone explorer from Google play.

EDIT: MyPhoneExplorer lets you sync to Outlook, Thunderbird, and several other apps on your PC. You'll need to download the PC version, too. I use this to back up my contacts and calendar to Outlook.
The other posts here have great advice for backing up your phone's files. ROM Toolbox is a great app that does a lot of what you want on a rooted phone. It can do app backups just like Titanium Backup (I actually like RTB better than TiBu). I also back up calendar and contacts to google for easy syncing after a wipe.

Titanium Backup - Can't restore apps+data after flash

Hi guys, I recently just flashed CM 12.1 w/ Android 5.1.1 on my Zenfone 2.
Before doing that, I backed up my apps+data using Titanium Backup. After flashing, I transferred back the Titanium Backup folder in the internal storage where it originally was. I then re-installed Titanium Backup. Unfortunately, there's 0 apps that can be restored according to Titanium Backup. I even checked the Storage location and it even showed my backups.
Help ASAP. TIA
Install the apps before backup. It might work.

Hi there...how did you solve the problem?
I also have the same problem...I backed everything up then flashed cyanogenmod Marshmallow 6.0.1 then after flash copied all the backup folder back to internal memory so it can be seen by Titanium backup app and still doesn't work...it doesn't see anything...although it sees the location and the files under titanium backup/preferences/Backup Settings...Backup Folder Location..but in the app I cannot see any of the apps I backed up...how can I solve the problem..please help me
i think titanium needs to be updated to the latest version. the older version somehow doesn't work and don't see the backups properly (on my stock z3c pre rooted rom). after I installed the latest version, it worked like a charm
WARNING: Titanium doesn't backup the media folder for Whatsapp nor Wechat. backup the media that you want manually before flashing. the chatlogs are backed up properly

Hi Everyone
Sorry for digging up an old topic but I have a very similar situation and almost got gray hair already
Did anyone found a solution to the issue from opening post ?
Here's what I have done (and already regret it
- I was on stock 5.1.1 android for xperia z1 compact D5503
- I have installed Kingroot to remove some bloatware applications through titanium backup.
- Then I have made a backup of all applications of my interest (sms/mms, k9-mail etc.) and copied that to a folder on external sd card.
- Then I came over idea of Pre-rooted stock roms. Performed that (downgrade to 4.4.4, root, dual recovery, instal pre-rooted rom from zip).
- Installed TiBackup, copied all backups from sd to internal memory.
- Opened TiBackup - mind blown - no apps with backups.. In Preferences - Folder backups are shown.
Any ideas? Corrupted backups? That would make me very sad
Any help much appreciated.

OK,
I have solved the riddle. So easy and obvious that I didn't notice.
When I was doing all the stuff from the post above I was using sd card reader.
So to be on the safe side - i have copied all SD card content to win10 PC.
Then when I thought I was ready - copied all to 1 folder "Stuff" and then to SD card.
What I have missed was that during that process file extensions were changed. So all *.properties were now *.properties.txt and all *.bzip were *.bzip.zip and so on.
So my problem is solved. Perhaps someone else could use it too.
Best regards
ky0q
thanks a lot .. that solve my problem
Yeh, SD card to the rescue!
