I found a moto Demo video hiding deep down in the /system folder. I liked some of the motorola logos I saw in the video and decided to save a couple. Enjoy.
flash by using the fastboot command:
fastboot flash clogo <filename.bmp>
while in bootloader mode.
Attached is 4 previews and then a zip with 25 logos in it.
I own nothing. I just made flashable some flashable bmp.
JUST TO BE 100% CLEAR THE CLOGOS.ZIP IS NOT FOR FLASHING. IT CONTAINS THE BITMAPS TO FLASH WITH FASTBOOT.
nice find man.. thanks

yes indeed, Clogo is just what pops up on the initial boot. I may make boot animations if I have the time. Like take all the screens and bust them up into frames so that you can have all the logos as a boot animation.
did someone try to flash the a custom logo for the moto g?
I didn't succeed for some reason. maybe its because i flashed a logo.bin to remove the bootloader unlocked warning before?
If I have a unlocked Moto X Dev Ed can I just use logo instead of clogo when I flash with fastboot? And you can just flash a .bmp file? I thought it had to be a .bin file? Or is a bmp only a clogo thing?

LOCKED Bootloader = Clogo = BMP
UNLocked Bootloader = Logo = BIN (needs to be converted to bin). And there needs to be a several pixel solid boarder around the graphic when making the BIN.

to make a flash able logo.bin because you have an unlocked or relocked bootloader, see ->

Not sure what you are asking.. For a Logo.bin (used if you have ever unlocked or relocked your bootloader), 0-3% is included in the logo.bin file if you use that link I just posted. 4% and up is not part of the logo.bin.
the CLOGO.BMP talked about in the first post of this thread (used if you have NEVER unlocked your bootloader) does not include anything for charging.

Oh.. Maybe I'm a little confused about it, I don't really know how it works ?
I have an unlocked bootloader, so I'm talking about logo.bin file.
If I flash the new logo, I'll still have the battery charge animation for >3%?
Sorry if I was not clear in the previous post.
What is the most current clogo for the moto x if we want to get rid of that horrible unlocked warning? The last clogo i flashed was the black screen powered by android one that released with the april fools boot ani that featured bigfoot, ufo, and the loch ness monster.
I know moto pushed out the new boot ani through boot services, is there a newer clogo we should be using, did it go back to the first clogo with the white screen and the globe boot ani?
Furthermore has anyone found out if its possible to get rid of that warning message while still unlocked so the new logo and boot animations will pop up by default?

Better to hop over to that thread to ask about/discuss logo.bin, but the 4% and up battery charging "graphic" is not part of the logo.bin or clogo.bmp, so it will show no matter what image is loaded on your phone if your phone is powered off while charging. And I will try and fix that post to make it clearer.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with where that animation is, for stock or custom roms.

I made a custom splash screen (kernel screen, 1st boot img etc.) That works seamlessly with the google pixel boot animation.
Splash - https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8in4PEF59ENeHF1V2RNRURYV0E (move to sd card and flash through download mode)
Boot animation - https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8in4PEF59ENRk1QZEhzRVdZWFk (flash through custom recovery)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can also make your own using Splash Flasher, All credit to TrueBlue_Drew, Put a 1080x1920 image in and run the program.
Splash Flasher - https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8in4PEF59ENWjRGSm1MVklBdTQ
select an option to convert image to IMG file, then go to Splash flasher>place-image-here and rename your new image file to "splash1.nb0" Next, download this: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8in4PEF59ENVmRvUlE1UzIwd28. Lastly, move Your splash1.nbo file and your android-info.txt into a zip file and rename it to 2PQ9IMG. Flash through download as normal
This works for usa unlocked but you can change it. Simply edit the android-info.txt to your mid/cid. SuperCID works.
Is this limited to just the One A9? I'm running a One M8 that has the same 1080p resolution
Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Yes but s-off is required. this is totally possible, go to your download mode and get the Cid and mid, and also at the bottom get the name of the file that it wants you to flash. Next, change the android-info.txt to have matching mid/Cid of your device and follow the rest of the steps above, and once you have made your flash able zip, name it to the one your download mode says.
Looks great thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the post.. very useful.
One thing I wanted to ask, would it be possible to flash the boot-animation by any means other than custom recovery?
I did have TWRP installed but am now on stock recovery, TWRP was overwritten when flashing the stock RUU in order to get OTA updates.
If I have to re-flash TWRP then fine, I can re-run the RUU after but I would prefer to spend as little time as possible messing about in recovery etc..

I cant really understand this message, but from what i can tell, you want to remove the red message, which hboot checks for. There are sucsessfull ways to remove this on most htc deviced, just not for the One A9, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FLASH A MODIFIED hboot file. unless it is confirmed working. also, there is already a thread about this. Just dont do it.

If you're taking about flashing the files no, I use fastboot. If you're taking about how I got the files, I used dd.
There is a tool for splitting the system image into sparse chunks... I'll see if I can find the process.
Can I ask how you got this? Did you extract it from your device because the radio partitions are protected (or so I thought, haven't tried it in a long time).
Just curious how you were able to read some of these partitions...
EDIT: Found it I think: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2749797

I used TWRP, but instead of flashing it, I send it as a boot image.
Instead of "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img", I used "fastboot boot twrp.img", which allowed me to get the partitions.
EDIT: SparseConverter gives me different sizes of chunks with MPHS24.49-18-8 with 8, and MPHS24.49-18-16 with 13. MPHS24.49-18-16 has each of the files being 262,144 KB and a total size of 3.17 GB. MPHS24.49-18-8 is only 1.98 GB. Here's the weird part. The decompressed system.img files are on KB apart. MPHS24.49-18-8 is 4,194,180 and MPHS24.49-18-16 is 4,194,304 KB. I'm not sure where things are going wrong, which is why I want someone else to try.

Awesome! My concern was that in previous devices, extraction of the radio firmware with DD was protected, it would only output all zeros in the image, seems that isn't the case anymore!

@parker.stephens is correct, the image on Moto's website is ancient, literally the oldest Marshmallow image ever made for the Moto X. It has been reported to Moto in their official forums like 6 months ago and they said they would get it taken care of but nothing has changed.
We have official leaked factory images up to MPHS24.49-18-8... the OP is trying to get 18-16 for us to use... the one on Moto's website is MPHS24.49-18 (with NO subversion), it is labeled and dated incorrectly.

So, could somebody teach me how to read/edit the gpt.bin file and resize the boot partition.
Or, teach me how to resize boot.img files.

No however I have found a way that I can flash boot.img and gpt.bin files to my phone (as long as they are the right ones for my device). Well that's okay I learn from trail and error, if all else fails I can factory reset with adb or rsd lite. Also you still haven't answered my original question how would I one change the partition or boot.img size.
Note:
This is not bootanimation, this is the splash screen (the 'Esssential' boot logo which is displayed when device is switched ON)
This is for Essential Phone PH-1 Only..
For other devices, please send me your splash.img so that I can create a tool for you too.
Requirements:
1. Rooted Essential Phone PH-1 (any ROM)
2. Optional: Terminal Emulator app or Custom Recovery or atleast working fastboot in computer
3. You're proceeding at your own risk.
NOTE: This is for OLD FIRMWARES only.
For newer firmwares, try this tool by @Maxr1998: Essential-BIOS-Splash
STEPS to create splash.img:
1. Download & Extract this in computer: Essential_PH1_Splash_Maker.zip
2. Go to the folder named 'pics'.
3. Now open the splash.bmp with any image editor (like MS Paint or PhotoShop) and edit the image as you wish.
Then Save the image without changing the filename or format.
(Don't use 'Save As' option. The format of the image should be .bmp (BitMap Image) only)
3. Finally, run the 'CREATE_SPLASH.bat' to create splash.img and flashable zip file, which you can find inside the "output" folder after completion.
STEPS to flash splash.img:
Optional: To backup your original splash.img:
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/splash of=/sdcard/splash.img
(Not necessary though.. You may get it from the stock firmware itself.)
Choose any one easy method:
a. To flash from recovery:
Transfer the flashable_splash.zip to your device and flash from TWRP or CWM or Philz or any other custom recovery.
b. To flash from Terminal Emulator:
Transfer the splash.img to your device's Internal Storage, Open Terminal Emulator & enter the following to flash it:
Code:
su
dd if=/sdcard/splash.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/splash
c. To flash from Fastboot mode:
Code:
fastboot flash splash splash.img
Note:
Incase something goes wrong or device doesn't bootup, flash the stock splash.img from custom recovery or fastboot.

I am also curious if there is a method similar to this which can be used to replace the bootloader unlocked warning.
the essential phone splash itself.... isn't that bad. no bad enough that i'd want to use this script to create and replace the splash.img
but that bootloader unlocked warning...... thats the real eyesore here for our Essentials
The warning is part of the bootloader partition - I don't think you want to mess with it..

Just a note if you were having issues trying to make a new splash screen.
Use GIMP.
There is a version for all platforms (PC, MAC, Linux).
It just works.
You need to follow the instructions to attached the header to make the BMP into and IMG file though.
My splash screen now has my name and a contact number.
I also added "Essential" under the logo.
I also add the following text in red "This Phone Is Encrypted, Locked and Useless to Anyone Else!"
Yeah Gimp!
Has anyone been working on a way to remove the unlocked bootloader message?

Sadly, that's inside the bootloader, and I don't think you'd want to mess with that (if you can even flash an unsigned bootloader, it may completely brick your device).

They have AMAs every month on Reddit. You could ask there. I don't think it'll get you anywhere though.

HTC you can flash an aboot no red text zip file to remove it. Not sure what is different with newer phones. Or other brands and if possible.

Hmm aboot_signed.img
Had an unlocked bootloader, flashed A09 stock (india) because i really hate that color os fraudlent apps, changing settings by force... Failed to do anything with adb so i flashed stock india.. However magisk edited the boot.img result was a boot loop..
Fastbootd is inacessible.
Now the thing is, how comw there is no official realme tool to flash stock..
I'm a production engineer and i have never seen such a scam in user rights...!! I dont want root or anything just the normal stock version..
I dont really care about paying for the stock china rmx3560_domeatic_A27 full rom...
But most of those charging money for it are dodgy aa hell and non trustworthy..
What do chinese subjects in realmebbs do when an ota fails????
Hilarious product non existent rights..
When now we are speaking about rights to physically repair phones.
Now my phone cant access fastbootd only edl or fastboot but even in fastboot it automatically reboots after 1 min
okay

I did myself thank god.. Thanks though.
I used rmx3560china A44
I used fastboot patiently and replaced each image visible in fastboot enhanced in both A and B (there were not that much)
Then rebooted fastbootd worked right after...
Did a flash payload.bin fully
Had a stock brand new boot
I thought for some reason i need a Full stock rom (12-16 gigabytes like the ones for india)
Anyway, i even rooted it sucessfully right after.
But still even rooted system isn't rw cant add viper4a for example.

I have a piece of advice for you . Root realme gt neo 3 Be careful. Just a few simple steps (example disable app system and reboot = bootloop , flashing dtbo error = hardbrick and you must pay 60$ for outside service repair)
I've had a hardbrick once and this is the second time I've had to pay to fix it. Very terrible

I have exactly the same problem as you.
Can you share the detail steps how to get fastbootd working?
