Hi Guys
What's this ?
Revolutionary Team Kang AOKP ICS 4.04 ROM having full English/Hebrew UI.
Based on FBis251's AOKP ROM 40-06. Thanks man!
Merged with PilotX AOKP ROM SGS i9000 BN-40 resources. Thanks guys!
What's working ? Almost everything.
What's not working ? WiFi Calling, TV-out, USB Tethering.
Bonus : Fully translated AwesomeBeats (Beats Audio DSP manger) by Aswesome - Thanks man !
Download links :
ROM - HebAOKP V1 (English and US as defualt)
AwesomeBeats - Flash this after ROM if you want AwesomeBeats / mirror
Google apps - ICS Gmail, Gtalk, Gallery etc.
This is how it looks like (when choosing Hebrew language instead of default English in Settings) :
Installation instructions :
1. Flash CM9.
2. Download the ROM zip file to your SD card.
3. Go to CWM.
4. Format system in mounts & storage.
5. Mount system.
6. Wipe data / factory reset.
7. Flash the ROM (CWM install from zip).
8. Optional -
Flash gapps zip if you want Google Play plus other Google apps.
Flash AwesomeBeats if you want Beats Audio DSP manager.
9. Reboot to the ROM
Thank Team Kang & Team Acid for their work.
If you want face unlock - create a .forcefaceunlock file in your SD card after flashing GAPPS.
If you want to dim/close capacitive buttons light - Use 'MX Video Player' (it has this option in settings) for videos playing and 'Screen Filter' for the rest of the apps (I recommend assigning it to a launcher gesture).
You tell me...
This rom is amazingly smooth and everything works flawlessly,I personally recommend ya'll give this a run.....if you don't.... its your loss.
I've been running this in English for 5 long hard days now and can't find a reason to look any farther....: will most likely try out other roms... and even test more for other devs..... but this is the one I will use as my DD and the one I will always go back too.
Thanks
Hi,
first, Itzik. your third rom !!! Congrats.
A question, what is the difference between your Rom and this one [ROM][MTD][ICS 4.0.4] AOKP Milestone 6, build 1 (Unofficial by Team Acid) Jul 07.
in this one too, the hebrew is supported and the gui can be translated too to hebrew
h
Hi Heniki
It is just that.
I added the Hebrew translations and images (straight from PilotX) to that ROM and posted it here.

Hey, I am trying to flash the rom through CWM-based Voodoo Lagfix Recovery and I keep getting the Status 7 Error
Assert failed: run_program("/tmp/updater.sh") == 0
E: Error in sdcard/AOKSP/HebAOKP_BN2.1.zip (Status 7)
Installation Aborted.
Do I have to use another recovery?

Hi Damatiru
Please follow installation instructions.
You have to flash CM9 ROM before this.
Thanks.

When you boot into recovery what version does it say at the top? If it isnt a 5.0.xxx version you need to flash antonx's kernel. Version 3.0.xxx is broken and will not flash properly.

I installed CM9 and it worked, I have a 5.X.X version. After I deleted the data and cache and then installed HebAOKP along with the translation -- Every time I would boot it would go to the Team Win Recovery rather than booting.
I have tried:
Wiping everything short of the System data
Fixxing Permissions
I have also installed the ROM without the translations. It would go into the AOKP unicorn animation, load about 60 things and then keep repeating the AOKP unicorn boot animation forever. I have wiped data for this type of install as well.
Did you format /system?
All steps are required. You can't miss anything.

I did format the system
In Order:
flash CM9 from stock
factory delete/ Wipe System
flash HebAOKP
- Stuck on AOKP splash animation loop if I don't install the english translations-
flash english translations
-boots into recovery-
The regular AOKP rom works fine, as does the CM9 rom.
I also kept bootlooping with the 2nd version with awsome beats added so I stayed with the original one that I tested with.....figured my phone just didn't like it lol.

OK thanks for your feedbacks.
I am reverting version 2 at the moment.
This v1 was successfully tested by Carl (added to OP) :
HebAOKP V1
MD5 : 3F4D1FBEB2C8BB83D1954578A62B9932
For future versions - I will have to change my methods and I know how to do that, but it may take a while, and there's no real difference at the moment.
Will the translation pack work with v1?
I'm not sure. You better change system\build.prop yourself -
language from 'iw' to 'en' & region from 'IL' to 'US'.
You need to do it before flashing the ROM:
Using notepad++ on your PC/mac or you can edit it as a text file on your phone and then use Aroma file manager to replace it after ROM is flashed.

If you want I'll upload and add a link for this already done in English....there are a lot of people out there that are ....
#1 to lazy to do the work to give this a run.
Or #2 do not understand how to make the changes like we do....
Telling a newb to mess with the build.prop is .....LOL....asking for complaints and gripes....and oh my god how do I fix it... I did something wrong.
I'm too lazy to do that myself.
What's the difference you noticed comparing to Team Acid AOKP?
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
I didn't run team acids long enough to say.....what really caught my eye is the keyboard....I know that may sound dumb....but that and the fact that I ran this long enough to know for a solid fact that everything runs perfectly....I came from Valhalla final that I highly changed to my liking to cm9 to this and I'm straight up happy with this.
The only thing I don't like is the capacitive keys always being lit up,but that is a problem in all ics based roms...I've been doing a lot of research and testing different things to either turn off the light or to completely disable the keys altogether... which ever comes first I guess.
My opinion is that they are the battery drain....plus at night they are way to bright
OK.
Heniki - this is the only AOKP ROM that has full Hebrew UI for SGH-T959V.
ShortbusDriver - please look into this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1767577
For those who are having trouble installing cm10 on v28b official ICS Beta ,
It interestingly gives an error with the error code of 7.
I was able to circumvent the error by editing the updater-script in cm10's zip file.
Go to Meta-inf/com/google/android.
Then open "Updater-Script" in Notepad or Gedit for Linux Users.
Then remove the following lines from the script ;
assert(getprop("ro.product.device") == "p920" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "p920");
Now save the updater-script and make sure it's not in txt format. Erase extensions before putting it back again.
Now drag and drop it to it's rightful place in Meta-inf/com/google/android/
Flash that zip , you won't have that error.
In short , it totally runs with v28b.
Cheers!
I did that before flashing EVERY CM based rom when I was on ported ICS.
The same goes for v28b.
So it's not just on v28b.

Hallo senior developers...
I need help, I am still very new in terms of the development of android and still learning, and a little know about the android system.
yesterday i tried to develop from the original android 4.2.2 firmware system ODEX to deodex galaxy tab2 and a little extra file as superuser permission and applications and busybox, using dsxkitchen, after the process is completed and the existing files in the zip output dsxkitchen.
and I tried to install it on my device with philz touch recovery.
but failed to install and get Error status (7) on philz touch recovery.
Also I had a bit of fixing the updater-script. but still it fails to install and change Error status (6).
where is the error in my rom little developed? and what should I do to correct the errors that are no longer fails to install.
thank you very much for expert developers android system for the advice and guidance...
Hello,
I'm fairly inexperienced with this since this is my first Android device I've rooted manually (I have a Nexus 7 2012 I rooted via Nexus Root Toolkit). I have TWRP recovery v2.8.5.0 installed as well as SU and Busybox. Now I'm trying to install some Custom ROMS.
I've tried installing crDroid and Cyanogenmod 12.1, both of which have something along the lines of this error: (I copied and pasted part of the log, if you need the full log, just let me know) (this was when I tried installing crdroid, but Cyanogenmod had the exact same error minus the fact that the zip filename was different)
script aborted: This package is for device: xt1505,xt1506,otus_umts,otus_umtsds,otus,otus_ds; this device is surnia.

Error flashing zip '/external_sd/crdroid-5.1.1-20150912-otus.zip'
So far many google searches have brought nothing. My phone's model number is XT1526 and the code name is "otus", yet it appears that it is being identified as "surnia". Am I doing anything wrong? I'm wiping Data, System, Cache, and Dalvik Cache, and I've already created an update.zip in Titanium Backup as well as a Nandroid backup in TWRP recovery. As far as I know, this is the latest TWRP I can find, as the manager wants me to downgrade to 2.7.x.x, which I tried, only to have to reflash 2.8.5.0. And I'm getting the CM ROM download from CM's official website and I got the crDroid download from this website's Moto E 2015 ROMS forum. Can I?
A. Change the ID of my device to match the ID the ROM wants?
B. If the ROMS are the issue (I'm aware crDroid is based off of Cyanogenmod, so if CM doesnt work, maybe crDroid acts the same way), could I be pointed towards a few other ROMS that are close to Cyanogenmod or are just very useful to use?
C. Replace TWRP with CWM and try installing it that way?
Thank you so much in advance, I've tried every Google search possible and it seems hopeless. Hopefully these forums can help!

Hi and thank you for using XDA Assist
You need to be very careful with the variants because there are some variants of the new Moto E and maybe you downloaded the ROMs for a different variant of Moto E. For example this ROM instead is for real for your specified device

Hi again, well if it's still not working i suggest you then to write it over the Q&A forum of your device, right here:
