hi guys ive finaly taken the plunge and unlocked the bootloader using cm 10.2 ^^
however the phone no longer works with the official cardock *speakerphone etc
was wondering where i can get the official app apk?

Hey Folks,
I'm pretty new to this Rooting and Roming of Android devices so please bare with me if this sounds like a stupid question.
Last weekend I roots my nexus s i9023, installed ClockworkMod 3.x and Axura NSE Rom ( Gingerbread 2.3.3 ) with netarchy 1.2.5cfs Kernel. Everything went perfectly but now I'm being badgered by the Auto Update to in OTA update 2.3.4. The Nexus S is on Vodafone NL.
My question being a nooby is can I go ahead and let the OTA update install on reboot ( will it have any effect on my rooted device, recovery image or custom rom? ) ?
If not, how do I get to 2.3.4? Do I wait for Axura 2.3.4 update? Or is there a way to disable Auto Update from bugging me every couple of hours.

I don't think you will have able to update to 2.3.4 its because you flashed clockwork an you have a custom rom. I suggest trying out another rom that has a 2.3.4 Core. Also axura nse is no longer supported by master so you might not see an update on it.

You will lose root and recovery if you install the OTA. Not hard to root again, but just install a custom 2.3.4 rom

Hey all, kind of a noob question i guess but i am confused. i thought the version of CM7 i flashed was based on android 2.3.4 but to my surprise it was 2.3.3. kind of a big deal to me as i use the video calling feature.
i went here: download.cyanogenmod.com/?type=stable&device=crespo and downloaded update-cm-7.0.3-NS-signed.zip thinking it was the latest and greatest.
does anyone know if there is a STABLE cm7 out that is based off of 2.3.4. this is for a regular nexus s running on rogers

edit: after browsing around it looks like 7.1 RC is the latest? i cant find if this is compatible with the nexus s. can someone please confirm so i dont brick my device

I just installed (upgraded) to ICS using Brainmasters MIUI ICS (his last so far :'( ... ), I'm just wondering if there is any way to install Google Wallet, before on 2.3.7 it was fine but now on ICS I haven't found a way to make it work.
Does anybody know how to make GW to work?

What have you tried? What errors are you getting? I've had Wallet working on every ICS ROM I've tried. Haven't tried MIUI though. I'm on CM9 currently and I just installed Wallet from the Market with no problems.
*if you didn't wipe /system and /boot it is NOT A FULL WIPE*

I'm in the same boat as you my friend. It originally worked for me but when I switched roms it has never worked again. ICS or Gingerbread roms. I have tried all the fixes and ways to do it out there and it just doesn't work anymore. It pulls up my original account and shows my past purchases but it doesn't show my balance and when I try to add the goggle prepaid card it gives me an error. I just gave up.
Initially I was getting a NFC error, "NFC service has to close" or something like that, then I tried installing the app after I had everything working and now I get the "GW has to close"....or something like that....now I love Google Wallet but I'm in Canada so is not that much of a big deal since I can't reload that thing...on the other hand I may be more interested on getting the Torch working, before ICS MIUI came with the torch so if I needed it I will hold the Home button and the torch will kick, it's even on my status bar....but is nowhere on my phone.....???....gotta look for MIUI torch...man....still, gonna try the 2 work arounds.

i was able to succesfully patch one of the last CM10 nightly builds using the Autopatcher from mateorod&pastime1971 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1719408). Also a big Thanks to you both!
Now heres my problem/question:
i got the PDOID-App from several sources, but all of them have a os version-check during the load which states that JB is not supported (so far, works as designed)
Is there a newer PDROID app wich is compatible to JB or maybe without the version-check so i can test if it is working?
If not, is it somehow possible to make Pdroid belive it runs on a supported Version?
Hi guys, I'm wondering... I want to install new AOKP with tethering fix and panorama mode but don't want to do the whole install.
Maybe I could just install a wifi tethering app to make it work?
Also... is it just me or the default camera is way too dark?
PS: I'm currently using 29/07/2012 m6 version.
I would assume that you're using someone's port of AOKP JB for the P500? Or have you compiled your own build?
