Yes you can! Flash the firmware via odin and be happy with 4.2.2. But first step - for the safety - is to make a backup. And be sure you are flashing the right firmware for the P-Version.

mfq, sorry for hi-jacking your thread, but i've got a question along the same lines:
I've got the Italian version of the GS2+, will I break anything by flashing the latest German version (I9105PXXUBMI1)? Will the modem still work?

after 7 hours Battery Empty

Did you check settings -> system manager -> battery to see what's using up the battery? Or you can install betterbatterystats to check
There is a known bug with Google Services and location reporting that drains battery. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44122105&postcount=1

Testing it for about ~1h.
Network signal is better than on KPL.
Battery drain - still 99%, as it was before I flashed it.
I'm not sure if it is because of new baseband or just because of lower electromagnetic interference at this time of day, but my WiFi connects to router much faster than before.
PS: Here is a baseband file only - DOWNLOAD (for ODIN, 19Mb). Made by SHiFT!.

I don't know for sure but a while back, I did come across several threads/posts about this on other Samsung devices, so I'm inclined to believe that yes, flashing official Roms of other countries/regions does void your warranty. You'd have to go back to stock via KIES

Do note that if your phone has the nasty habit of sometimes not booting up when charger is plugged in, it will fail and you'll have to flash a new stock firmware with odin.
This happened to me yesterday.. Very nasty.. Recovery wouldn't boot neither except for download mode.

It should, I think. I remember in the CWM for 4.1.2 thread there was a disclaimer that it wasn't tested on the non-P in the beginning as there wasn't a non-P user posting any feedback back then but as we know, it worked.

Has anyone tested CWM working for the GT I9105 ? I'm downloading this firmware. Will report back the good parts ..
Besides this if anyone can answer, if all the firmwares are the same then why does Samsung bring out a Different Firmware for every country?
Cant they just have one firmware for one phone universal around the world (except for network branded phones).
Ok, Jerry's CWM works with our device.
Been fiddling with my phone for the past couple of hours. No noticeable increase in battery drain nor heat issues so far.
The 4.2.2 features have been posted by our I9105P brethren, e.g most welcome for me is that moving apps to ext sd is now supported.
Developer options is hidden. To enable it, "about device" -> "built number" and tap it 7 times.
That's it. I've nothing else to add for now.

Nope, there's no Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese character input modules i believe. While non Russian/Balkan firmwares don't have support for cyrillic script.
By the way If you make a factory reset after flashing this new firmware, your phone's default language will be Russian

I want my Note 3 back.

First of all apologies if this has been asked or spoken about before.
I want to go back to my previous firmware MJ3, after the update I feel like my Note 3 is gone it literally feels like a different phone.
I have friends with the same phone irl and they say the same thing.
And also alot of people here seems to feel the same in various threads.
The battery is drained after 1 day and before it could take up to 3 days for the battery to totally die.
Is there any way at all to downgrade or flash an older version, I would really want the previous version, I so so regret updating it to the latest.
Any good suggestions or comments will be appreciated.
Cheers.
Try factory reset it might fix it

And also alot of people here seems to feel the same in various threads.
The battery is drained after 1 day and before it could take up to 3 days for the battery to totally die.
Is there any way at all to downgrade or flash an older version, I would really want the previous version, I so so regret updating it to the latest.
Any good suggestions or comments will be appreciated.
Cheers.

What are you ruining now? I'm using the latest and it is just the same if not better than out the box, but I've done wipes etc after any major change.
As suggested by the first reply, try a reset.

Ok well I guess it's worth a shot.
Did you experience issues with your battery performance after the update and therefor did a factory reset?

Most probably the bootloader had been updated. .. which means you won't be able to flash older firmware now. I can get just about a day on mj7 which is good enough for me

Not sure if it's because you're rooted but I'm on stock rom and on mj4. Battery still sucks.

I'm on stock ROM without root MJ7 and battery works great, easily lasts 2-3 days with medium usage

Same here! Calibrated my Phone many times, no luck! Was already thinking of buying a new battery... I will do TOTAL wipe tomorrow, including internal sd then flash Stock MJ7 I hope it gets better.
If you update via OTA, Kies or PC Odin. Sorry you can't go back as new bootloader is not compatible with MJ3 firmware.
If you update all the while via Mobile Odin, then yes as Mobile Odin never update bootloader.
Just finished restoring all my apps and settings after a full system recovery. (couldn't wait hehe).
Will report back if I notice any significant difference in the battery life.
Btw can anyone give some advice on battery calibration?
Cheers.

Is this true? I never done ota on my note3. I rooted the phone just a week after i bought it. It was MJ1 if i'm not mistaken then flashed a costum rom using cwm. Does this mean i can flash an older firmware without worrying about soft bricking the phone?

If your phone already update to latest bootloader, it can't downgrade firmware to MJ1. I never try, but base on user report, you get bootloop only.
Mj7 is the best FW yet.
It has great kernel with battery tweaks.
Don't try to go back for older FW.
First you can't.
Second every upgrade has some fixes for more stability.
I have MJ 7. Its wonderful.
You need to di the following :
1- factory reset.
2- go to application manager and disable the unwanted Apps.
It will save your battery more coz you are not rooted so its the only way to stop and turn off some craps apps.
3- wifi:
Go to advanced options and untick the allow scanning option and put your wifi as never during sleep.
Check your battery life then.
It will be double..
I Promise.
