Let for a month, Battery Drained till dead. - HTC Pico (Explorer)

Hey guys, I wanted to see if anyone else had this issue. I use my old Explorer for developing and using it as my low benchmark. Thing is if I leave the phone for afew weeks, the phone will drain the battery until its completely dead, and it will no longer charge, Ive gone through 2 batteries, and wanted to know, is this a problem for anyone else?

Battery drain... funny problem

Hi All,
Got this funny problem since I have flashed TNT WM6.1.
My mobile battery shows some funny traits.
1. It can suddenly go off (even if the bar is at 87% or 63% or 30% or anything of that sort)
2. Once it goes off, it gets into a loopback of restarting the device, goes upto the screen where WM6.1 logo appears and restarts again.
3. The only way I can then get it restarted is to get it to plug to a powersource.
4. When I plugin it shows within 5 min that the battery is fully charged.
5. I use audio manager a lot and its like every 30 seconds 1% of battery is gone.
Have search through the forum but haven't found anything like this.
Anyone has face a similar problem and found any solution?
Any help will be much appreciated.
I am on SPL/IPL 3.08.
Time for a new battery....
I ran across the same problem. It turned out that the terminals on the battery were seriously worn down so much that the battery couldn't hold a charge to safe it's life let alone mine!!!! I went to a battery store and replaced the muthaf^$#a!!!!!
Go grab a new battery and you'll be electric sliding again in no time!!!!
Thanks Trej3k. Much appreciate your response.
Yeah
Had the same issue.
Replaced the battery ... and now everything is fine.
Now I don't expect 5 days without recharge but at least 2 days.
Along with the new battery I bought an battery charger so now I can use two batteries.
The nice thing is that the old battery is lasting at least as the new one, Maybe because of the charging more regularly and not so frequently and because both batteries never go in usage when they are hot of charge.
Try your thing

I had the same problem pretty soon after I flashed my ROM for the first time. I would charge to 100% and then browse the Internet or take a call, and the device would reset within a couple of minutes b/c it would think it was out of power. The timing may have been a coincidence; I don't know. I bought an extended battery and everything works fine now.

I had the exact same problem right after flashing to wm6. I really wonder if it's a coincidence.
I ordered a new battery today because I have exactly the same problem. I also apeared after flashing WM6.1 a while ago an became worse with time. Since my battery is 3 years old, it could also just be a battery at its end of life...

Question about flakey battery

So I have some interesting behavior from my Inspire 4G battery. When charging, it will charge from 0% to 73% without issue. This is where it gets weird, once it hits 73% it goes immediately to 100% charged. I have wiped battery stats in recovery, "calibrated" etc and it still does it. Anyone have any ideas? Does it sound like a bad battery? Any suggestions? I was wondering why my battery life doesn't compare to most on the forum

I ran across an Inspire which would charge the battery fine, but when a call connected or after a while of data usage the phone would just shut down.
I tried with another battery and it solved the problem without any issues. If you know someone else with another Inspire, it would be a good idea to switch batteries and see if the problem goes away, your problem seems to be battery related but before spending 20 bucks on a new battery first isolate the cause...

Well I just did a clean install of the rom I have been using and same thing. Installed the same rom over my current setup but with a different kernel. Looked down at my battery a little while ago and it drained down to exactly 73% so I plugged my wall charger in and now it is charging from 73% on up normally so far. Very odd. I am curious if it is kernel related somehow.

Restarting problem when charge drops to 80-70%

When my battery charge drops to 80-70% my phone turns off. When I try to reboot it turns off almost immediatly after I have dialed my PIN. But if i recharge at the same time when I boot it works just fine.
I read topics about similar problems and they said that it may be caused by bad battery. Could it be the reason why Im having this problem? If it is, what kind of a battery would you recommend me to buy?
I have the same issue. My battery is at 100% and it shuts off on me. Sometime it last a while but then just shuts down again. Hope someone knows a fix.
Only just seen this thread, and I'm getting the same problem. Anker battery? I'm considering putting my standard one back in to see if it cures the issue. If so, I guess I'll be looking for a stock XE battery instead.
About a week ago my Sensation started working like a charm. Don't know what happened. Charged it overnight and no problems anymore. No idea what happened there...

I think I've got the same problem. It doesn't matter if battery is 10 or 110% phone reboots after 30sek. The only fix I found so far is to leave music on all the time

Oneplus One Battery discharge even when completely switched off

From past 1 month I'm having a hard time with my 1+1, I started experience heavy battery drain during stand by around 35-45% over night (aprox7-8hrs) I thought the battery has come to end of its life so I ordered a new battery for 1+1 and replaced it myself. But guess what I'm still facing the same issue overnight the battery drains 35-45% even when the phone is completely turned off. What's happening I don't really understand. I also tried charging the battery to 100% and removed it from 1+1 and left it for a day and when I popped it back in it was holding the battery very well it was 99%. It is only draining when I connect it to the phone the battery starts draining again. Is there anybody who can help me with this issue.? I really like this phone that I don't want to buy any other phone right now.

Sounds like a hardware issue. RMA it back to OnePlus.

Ya but I cant I purchased it last year around June even before it was launched in my Country. So have to try to fix it myself
Hey hello..
I pity you.. Btw even I have similar problem.. I know how it feels.. The battery used to last 2 days easily and now merely pulls a day.. Same 35% battery drop even when I have it switched off.. I have tried almost all ROM's in vain.. Only thing I can tel you is, try charging the phone overnight and discharge completely before charging it again.. repeat this for 3 to 4 times.. This trick worked out of nowhere for me.. But again now after 10 days, it has gone to the state of not holding juice longer.. I am at a loss to understand what is wrong..
PS.. Do lemme know if you find a way out of this..

HTC one mini dies at random times?

I have a huge problem with my HTC one mini. I can have my phone full charged and when I take it off, and run something that uses a lot of power, it dies, at 95%. I can immediately turn it back on and it reports 60% or even 1%. It is acting up, and it happens on stock and custom rom as well. Any ideas?
HTC one mini
Android 4.4.2
S off
Unlocked bootloader
Let me know if you need more info to fix the problem
Thanks:good:
Hey there. I'm new here.
I had the same issue, and from what i've been able to figure out the battery is dead... Well dying.
Mine totally died a few days ago and i can't even charge it anymore. Charging led not turning on, let it charge 24 hours, still nothing.
I've seen a lot of "fixes" where you reset a lot of stuff and so on, but nothing has worked. And since it's completely dead now well i guess it can only be the battery.
The phone is pretty easy to disassemble and change the battery, in my opinion, if you have the right tools of course
I think you can get a new battery for around 30$
Hope it helps
Ps: mine did it with stock rom, and custom rom, old ones and new ones. Started a few months ago dying at 60% and lately it turned off with 85% battery left.
