File host testing - General Topics

I know,
This is the dev thread but I am here to announce a new file host. The first 20 to sign up and report bugs, or just give feedback will automatically get a free, Premium account. I offer this on XDA as this is where I started with Android, developed several ROMS and have moved onto this latest project. You may have seen me posting things about AndroidFileSharing.com ( I own that site), well this is going to be the new AFS if it works as I am hoping it will for all of you.
Stop by and check it out. Temp URL: www.netwonder.net
Just simply register. As I stated before, the first 20 will get upgraded to a full account within 24 hours of registration.
Thanks
Adam

Thanks everyone!
Thanks to everyone who helped with testing. Since the feedback was phenomenal, I have now launched it at fs1.androidfilesharing.com. THis was due in part to the overwhelming need for open registrations, better file management and a cleaner UI. The older, Archive and Sharing Center will be shutdown in 31 days from today. This should give plenty of time for all of my users to transfer their files to the new system and start fresh! This will be the last major update for a while. Time to give the wife and kids some attention

I just ... do not get Minecraft. I tried the free version a while back on my phone, and I couldn't imagine anything more BORING.... I guess I'm not the target market.
I already owned Swiftkey, bought it when it was brand new on the Android Market as an upgrade from their earlier free beta. THAT was a long time ago! And, I have it free from Amazon LOL....
Have Sketchbook Mobile from Amazon's free apps.. and I do not use it at all...
Soundhound is popular, yeah, but I do not ever see myself using it. I never feel I just have to know what the name of a particular song I hear in public is...
The others? Meh.
I hear from a birdie that ADW-EX is gonna be one of the 10 centers soon though!

[MIRRORS] Extra Mirrors for XDA Developers Now Available!

Hello,
I'm proud to announce a brand new website for everyone to host their files, I know there's a lot of them out there, but I thought I'd help by putting a user friendly website for the developers/users at XDA.
Basically it's a totally different way to manage your files, the website offers auto MD5sum check, password file lock, expiration by date/downloads and more.
The standard max_space available for users is 500MB space and max 500MB upload. BUT you can ask me for extra space providing your username and I'll be happy to add some more room!
Thanks for a great job you guys are doing. This is one way that I try to contribute!
Feel free to take a look and try it out.

Dude, is there a sort of "Upload from PC" option for setting the Avatar? Or can you just explain, how the normal method, which you have set up on the site, works?
Oh and could you also add a percentage display or something similar to the uploading tile? It would be easier to know, if my files were actually uploading.

Xda app having problems?

Evangelion NERV Theme

Hey guys, was wondering if some one out there in this awesome world of XDA would be a to make a universal themed ROMS that is inspired by the Evangelion franchise.
Several years ago Sharp released a below standard phone with what I can only describe as the BEST looking theme I have ever seen to date... and this was bk in the days of gingerbread!
Since then the hardware has increased ten fold and although some themes or mods have come close, no one has, in my mind surpassed the way this themed ROMs looked.
Please find below a link to a video regarding this, forget it's in Russian but focus on the ROMs.
Anyone out there reading this who knows of any ROM builders that could undertake this?
Again not looking for themed widgets, looking for either a port or ROM.

i would be happy just to have some that work on the duel sim .. you have no idea how frustrating it is not to have it.
Being an Eva fan myself, I find this very relevant to my interests.
However, it seems that your request for a Rom or Launcher port isn't coming until an interested XDA member gets ahold of the phone themselves.
The closest that was gotten can be found in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2290194
Basically a Chinese Blogger got ahold of the phone, wrote about it, and dumped some System files.
People tried to get them to port, but were unsuccessful, for the most part.
Seems some things, though, such as the official MAGI Widgets were able to be Deodexed and Signed and working on phones.
The thread died in September, however.
QNBT has managed to recreate the feel and performance of the SH-06D launcher using Nova and UCCW.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2025464
I know it's not exactly what you are looking for, but it's close for now. (Though I'm sure you are aware of it.)
In this thread, someone found a Japanese blog where someone else configured it through a different launcher called Glaeja.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1666996
So, there you go.
Seems nobody's quite done what you're asking yet.
But perhaps you can find some skilled people to assist the first thread in picking apart the system files.
Best of luck!
Ryo I think this challenge will be unanswered as there's not enough people who think this is worth the effort... :'(

It's been a fun time

Hello guys,
These past 2 years were some if the must fun I have ever had with a phone. Rooting and installing a custom ROM was a totally new experience and the first time rooting was nerve wrecking. My blaze had survived multiple drops and many, many custom ROMs, but the time has come for me to move on. I have now acquired the LG g2 and wow, this phone is amazing. The same I said when I got our little blaze. I will still check in from time to time and I still have my blaze so I could occasionally do some testing. Anyways guys, I will now be moving to my new home(both in real life and on xda ) thanks for the great time!
Sincerely,
Veliion

Got friends that also use some ROMs that are here. Been helping them out also. Hope you have fun with that new LG G2 you got . And also have fun with that new home of yours. New home, new beginning xD (at least in my family, they use that term).
