[Q] Nandroid on Galaxy Nexus: CWM can see, but I can't find the file in Windows or RE - General Questions and Answers

I created a Nandroid backup in CWM 6.0.4.0. I can see the file while in CWM, but it is nowhere to be found in either Root Explorer or Windows. CWM says the files are in /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup, but the clockworkmod folder is empty when I browse it. Where are these nandroids actually saving?

[Q] Nandroid Restore Issues

I recently unlocked, rooted, and installed CWM on my GS3. I then created a nandroid backup of my system, and flashed Cyanogenmod. I tried to flash the nandroid backup, but after clicking on "backup/restore > restore" (which should be the internal sd where I saved the nandroid) I get this:
"Couldn't open Directory. No files found."
I can see the nandroid backup in the clockworkmod / backups folder on my internal sd card from file manager as well as android file transfer. Yet CWM will not recognize it. Anyone have experience with a similar issue?
Thanks.

[Q] cwm backup files

Could someone tell me where CWM stores its backup files in Nexus 5/KiKat?
My Samsung phones allowed CWM to store its backups on either the internal memory or the externalSD. They were in a folder named "Clockworkmod" And sub-folder "backups"
I can see the main folder on my Nexus 5, but not a sub-folder. I know the backup files must be somewhere as CWM lists 3 of them when I select the restore option.
I'm trying to find them to rename them since CWM 6.0.4.5 names all the files with a date of "1970-03-07" instead of a legitimate date.
Thanks for the assistance.
/data/media/clockworkmod/backup/

[Q] Nandroid backup location to copy and delete

Hi All,
I'm trying to do a full backup of an N5 but I can't find the nandroid backups anywhere. I can see them from Clockworkmod (though it's called '1970-03-07.17.53.47' for some reason) but I've used xplorer and ES File Explorer to look in /SDCARD/ClockWorkMod/ and the folder is empty not even a backup folder. I've tried doing a system search for the '1970-03-07.17.53.47' I mentioned it's named at as in CWM but no luck.
I want the file so I can download it to my pc along with other backups and make further backups as i am on a custom rom (omnirom) now.. How do I find where the backup is saved? I need to move it to my pc and delete it to make further backups. Also, Can i delete it from that location and can i save it in the regular clockworkmod backup folder location for further backups? I am losing about 4.17 gb data for that backup and want a simple backup without all the apps and data that wouldnt be so large.
Thanks in advance.
click the link in my signature and look at section 5.4 - the answer is in there if you're using basic CWM

cannot access CWM backups files on Lollipop

I'm presently on lollipop 5.0.2 and i've done a CWM backup but i cannot find the file anywhere. The file really exist since that the space left have changed by 1gb. I need to access the backup files to copy them to my PC.
/data/media/clockworkmod/backup exist but no file inside
/mnt/shell/emulated/clockworkmod/backup exist but no file inside
anybody have an idea?
I tried using CWM and TWRP on my stock lollipop build and both of them gave me errors when trying to mount the data partition so I gave up. I'm not sure if either recovery is fully compatible with stock LP.
If you want to delete them, delete backup through cwm. You cant view files in android.

I used CWM on my Moto G and s3 and I can see the cwm backup folder and files using ES File Explorer with KK.

Deleting nandroid backup made in CWM?

OK, so I originally had CWM recovery on my tablet and I created a nandroid backup through there to my internal tablet memory which used up like 5.5gb of my 11.95gb of usable space. Shortly after making the backup I decided to flash twrp recovery instead...
Now, how can I delete the CWM backup without having to reflash CWM recovery??
Just deleted the file

Thats just it, there is no file! The folder shows as being empty! I read somewhere that CWM now stores the backups as blobs or something like that and that you cannot see them using file explorers.
Edit: Nevermind. I finally found it! It was not in the normal internal sdcard folder like I expected... It was actually buried in the root of the device at /data/media/clockworkmod/backup
