[Q] Verizon Samsung S4 flash to PagePlus - Samsung Galaxy S (4G Model)

Just purchase a Verizon Samsung S4 and was thinking of flashing it to PagePlus. Does anyone have any instructions and tools on how to go about it?

Probably. If you go to the Galaxy S4 forum rather than posting on the Galaxy S 4G forum, you'll get better luck though.

Just click the "S4 Links" in my sig. The OP of that thread should help point you in the right direction.

How to Root Samsung Galaxy SIII

I am struggling to root my Samsung Galaxy SIII version 4.3. I cannot use a PC currently and tried using Towelroot but it said it doesn't support this device. I tried using master root but displayed a purple box an didn't respond. I also used Z4root but that didn't respond. Any help please ?

Which carrier variant of the S3 are you trying to root? If it's the Verizon variant I would recommend checking out this guide on how to root Android 4.3 on the Verizon Galaxy S3. If it's not the Verizon variant I would recommend taking a look at the XDA Root Directory Samsung device section, and choosing the appropriate model Galaxy S3 you have which will take you to the correct rooting guide for your device. For future reference questions like this should be posted in the Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting section or your appropriate device forum Q&A section. Let me know if you have any questions I'll be happy to help you out .

If you upgrade your device through the latest official OTA to Android 4.4.2 towelroot will work just fine to root your device. Otherwise using a computer is going to be your only option I'm afraid.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S3 (SCH-R530) US Cellular HELP!!

To start, I love this forum. You all have saved me and taught me so much. Thanks
But I have searched all over and am not finding anything to work. I know that I'm needing some professional help lol.
Currently have a soft-bricked galaxy s3 us cellular (SCH-R530). Phone was rooted and I can still access CWM thru the VolumeUP+PWR+Home on boot. I still have access to the download menu. Other than that the phone hangs on boot on the Samsung Galaxy s3 screen.
Here is the information I have found And tried pertaining to this phone. My biggest hold up is that alot of the downloads have been removed, as this is an old phone.

Slightly confused.. So it was proper to start this thread in the verizon section with it being a US cellular phone?

As far as I can tell, they're the same device, and therefore because the US Cellular version doesn't have a dedicated section on XDA, it defaults to being here.

[Completed] Brand-New User Needs General Guidance....

Hello, and thanks for being there!
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S3, from Verizon, no longer connected to Verizon, since having retired the phone.
Running the original ROM, but rooted the phone using TowelRoot, easy-peasy!
There is no SD card, and have removed the SIM card, for the purpose of ridding the phone of everything and anything Verizon, but have discovered the bootloader must be Verizon-issued, since the splash screen upon booting is all about Verizon.
Methinks I will need to install a new operating system on the phone in order to truly get rid of all Verizon references, but I need some basic, basic, basic education first, on the topic of root, ROM, bootloader, etc, etc.
Can you point me to threads where a rank noobie can get an education on the basics?
Thanks in advance for your help; me appreciates it!
