Hi guys, i'd like to introduce Dml.
Dml (Diagram modeling language) is a diagram application like Visio.
Created diagram can be flowchart , Uml or even 2D building drawing.
This is a early preview release, for feedback during development.
A lot of functionalities are not yet implemented.
Dml differs from other diagram applications on several points of view :
A shape on a page is not only a graphical representation, but is also an object with some properties.
The same object can be drawn on different pages, keeping its name and the same text.
All properties of the object can be changed precisely in an editor, like position, size, rotation or color.
It's like a development environment for programmers but very simple to use.
The application will have scripting possibilities (create object and change properties, timer,button,...)
Users can create graphical object and reuse it.
Open to other programmers (via plugins)
Working
MultiPage
Put a shape (circle, rectangle, star,...) on the active page.
Property editor
Full text editor (like excell)
Join a line to other object, change line style (direct or bezier)
split line, horizontal or vertical line
Move and size view
Move objects, resize, rotate
Todo
Add text editor to other shapes.
Lines : Add text editor to lines , set start and target arrows
Lines : Create a line directly from an object
Clipboard : Undo, Redo, Cut, Copy, paste, duplicate
New shapes (like parallelogram), uml , user shape
Multi Select pane (for alignment)
Object tree page (for copying object to another page, or to retrieve objects easily)
Save as, new file, import, export, parameters
Align object
Scripting

Hey, it's a nice idea!
Could you post some screenshots?
mod:
I downloaded it.
It needs full internet access. Why?
Also it crashed after I ran it (on Galaxy Tab 2.0 7). Maybe the reason was that the firewall blocked the internet access?

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
I Removed internet access and Uploaded 1.1
Note that a lot of functionalities are not implemented.
For example, the load and save use always the same file (sample.xml)
No undo, redo,...

I've made an app that has a file browser on the side based of a ListFragment. I've created a custom View called IconTextView which is Basically a linear layout with a drawable for an icon and a text view for text. I also created it's adapter. I use the fragment as a file browser, the user selects a file and sends the string back to the main activity to do something with that file. For reference the class that implements the ListFragment is called FileBrowser.
This is my problem:
In the onCreate() method of FileBrowser First I add two Headers to the ListView Then I set the root directory of my application (which is a Specific Folder of the memory card) to generate the first file list.
While using the app: When the user then touches a folder I browse to it by generating the file list and setting my custom adapter again. What happens here is that the background still retains the original file list. It is obviously inactive but it is there kind of like a wallpaper and it is like the new list in front of it is transparent and the old list is the background. It works just fine, but it looks horrible. I've tried setting the original folder to multiple different folders but it is the same. Also when I scroll the file list, it goes behind the two stationary headers I mentioned.
The work around I found was to set the adapter in the OnCreate Method to null and simply press a button to show the first file list when the application is allready running. This implies that it should be a problem of simply when the setListAdapter is called for the first time. I've tried in the onResume() but the same thing happens. Even with this solution when I scroll the list of items it still goes behind the headers I mentioned just like before.
What I would like to know is if has anyone encountered this before and has found a way to solve it?
Thank you very much for all the help.
PD: The I just realized something else, the color of the headers I define is a custom color with an alpha value. Could it be that the non default alpha value creates the translucency problem?
Pencil Box Free v. 1.2
Pencil Box Free can help you to create simple and complex multilayer pictures, larger than a screen of your Android device. You have a great opportunity to draw your own picture or create it from image JPEG or BMP file. It`s also possible to add extra layers, color them and save your results in JPEG image file.
The main features of Version 1.0 include:
- To create a blank picture with the resolution you need. A limit of width and height is no more than 10000 pixels. The limit of the pixels in one layer is no more than 1000000;
- To add extra layers to a picture. Their limit depends on memory capabilities of Android device and resolution of picture;
- To set and reset a visibility of each layer;
- To set an active layer. The active layer is a layer where you are drawing your picture;
- To delete a layers which you do not need anymore;
- To draw with a finger or a stylus on an active layer;
- To erase previous images from the active layer;
- To select a color of virtual pen;
- To select a color of background;
- To select a width of virtual pen;
- To move a picture inside device display in case of picture is larger than display;
- To show the whole image in case of picture is larger than display;
- To save all your work in file at memory card;
- To open saved picture from file;
- To create a blank picture and to put an image from JPEG or BMP file into one of the pictures` layer;
- To transfer all layers of your picture to separate JPEG image files;
- To transfer all visible layers of your picture to one JPEG file.
Ver. 1.1. An user interface is improved. Toolbars, seekbar and color palette are added. The sequence of drawing of the layers is set by the order of drawing now, which can be adjust by user.
Ver. 1.2. A Zoom toolbar is added. Now you can draw, erase, shift your picture with x2,x4 or x8 zoom. It's a good opportunity to draw the fine details of the picture!
Available in Android Market!
Nice app, thanks. Would be great if it could "smooth" freehand-traced lines. Scribbling with your finger on a capacitative screen is quite inprecise.

I like to share this gesture recognition app for those who like to draw ideas, concepts and designs fast. It is designed purely for speed and simplicity. The app is optimized for both phones and tablets of any screen sizes. Almost everything is using gesture so check out the youtube video if you are interested in the workflow

What we hope from xda-developers community inputs:
- Feedback about our gesture recognition and what particular gesture we need to improve
- Any feature such as shapes or images that we missed for your diagramming needs
- Any things you like us to work on
- Starting tips that you think will help others learn faster
Here are some helpful starting tips:
• To Pan the surface, you use two fingers and maintain the same spacing between them. Using the thumb and the index finger seems to be the easiest for me.
• When selecting a shape or a group of shapes, you can delete it by drawing “x” or copy it by drawing “+”. You can draw anywhere on the canvas but don’t draw it bigger than 1/3 of the screen.
• You are likely to draw unwanted lines or unrecognized shapes in red strokes. Simply touch the surface with two fingers will clear those lines. However, you should ignore it and continue to draw over it with a successful shape or action and these unwanted lines will automatically go away. Do NOT Use the “undo button” for these red strokes.
• When drawing connectors, you should try to start in the middle of the first shape and end your connector stroke within the middle of the second shape. Any point within the shape is still ok.
• You can select a boundary box by touching its border only. Likewise, you can double tap on the border for labeling.
• Check out our website tutorial slides for other drawing gestures (drawexpress.com).
Here are some of typical diagrams you can draw:
Software and Network Designs:
- Use case
- Sequence Diagram
- Class Diagram
- State Diagram
- ER Diagram
- Data Flow Diagram

Hi
Why are some blocks in a webpage not visible when viewed on the phone, but in windows? I have tried to change to desktop mode, but then get an error message, Service Error in '/' Application, Runtime Error. See screenshot below.
A page I am using for my work have two primary columns with rows in them. The rows contain source and target text. I work as a translator and this is the client's Editor in which you open and do the job. So you look at the source text in the source field and translate it in the target field. Like it was two excel rows in columns beside each other. They are then a connected pair, saved in a translation memory. These two columns can be scrolled down as far as the source text rows go.
Beside the two columns are a fixed column/block with suggestion from a translation memory, term bank or other. And below this block you have another block with context material, like text or image. Below the two primary columns you have some blocks showing statistics etc about the job, phrases, etc that are shown all the time. You also have a top menu with different features.
The problem is no that in my phone I can only see the two main columns with rows with source and target segments in each row field. But I can't see the third column/block beside them that contain suggestions/matches from the translation memory, term bank, etc. And I need that.
I can zoom in to enlarge the page and the two rows, but I can't zoom out. The two rows take up the whole screen. Also, vertical view I can only see one of the main columns, but in horisntal mode I can see both of them.
There is a feuture with an arrow icon to hide/unhide this third block, but when clicking on it nothing happens, it only change direction. As if it tries to show the block to me, but can't shrink the two main columns to make place for the third block on the side.
Can I do something about it, or is the page not adapted to show the third column/block beside the two main columns? Any workaround in this case?
EDIT: I am using Samsung S10+. Have tried in both Edge and Chrome with same results.
I generally work on my laptop, with or without an external screen and keyboard. I would like to be able to do some small projects directly on the phone even when I don't have the laptop with me.
Sorry if it sounds a bit confusing, my English is not the best.
What browser in use?
Sorry. Edge, but it's the same with Chrome
I have also changed the font size in both phone and the browser with the same results.
