Advises

This version is based on Android 4.3 but with a heavy modification by samsung
The rom itself is stable and it can be used as a daily rom.
Thanks to @aresbv2000 for pointing that out
OK....this thread is a whole mess...no one gave us a real answer so i decided to flash the firmware.
Flashed the entire zip...AP,BL,CSC and CP.
So far everything is ok.
-All phone will be wiped at the first boot(except External SDCard)
-The sound is working perfectly
-Wireless is working
-Phone is working as well
-Keyboard doesn`t FC.
-Camera firmware updates at the first boot.
-Te Knox Warranty remains 0x0.
-All the ****ty apps that are installed at the first boot are uninstallable.
-TouchWiz has a little more less lag(still exists...but wtf...is not a Nexus device...is a Samsung)
-Antutu score is around 29500 pts.
-About root, I don`t know because i just flashed this firmware.
-And YES....you can downgrade to 4.2.2 and Knox still remains 0x0.

Whats New:
New Knox Mode
New Knox Counter [Present in MH8 as well]
New Read Mode
Some Performance Tweaks
New Camera Firmware
That's all i can say for now since i don't use "all apps that came with it"

Due to samsung new bootloader everyone that doesn't have the new bootloade doesn't seem to be able to use this, same thing is if we on the new bootloade want to degrade to older firmware.
Audio and wifi won't work unless on you're on the new bootloader explanation above.
The Knox Warranty won't be triggered if you flash this odin mode, it will be triggered if you however flash a unsigned kernel, or anything thats not signed by samsung ?
Code:
[TIMA boot measurement] : kernel secure check fail..SECURE FAIL: KERNEL.[TIMA boot measurement] : Old/non-CL device - KNOX warranty void.....kernel @ %x (%d bytes)....ramdisk @ %x (%d bytes).....mem=100M console=null...console=....console=ttyHSL0,115200,n8%s. sec_log=0x%[email protected]%x.. sec_dbg=0x%[email protected]%x.. sec_debug.reset_reason=0x%x....
as well as theese: androidboot.bootloader=%s..I9505XXUDMH8
To use this you need to either flash it with Odin or a flashable zip. its you're decission!
Samsung Knox "mode" will not work if your counter has triggered 0x1 it doesn't matter if you have official in system status.
You can root this with CF-Auto Root. there will not be ANY issues except that Knox notification manager warns you over and over again, so you might want to disable tat one
Do not use Triangle away to get status official in system settings (i use wanam xposed) and it works! also don't use mobile odin on the latest bootloader

Every other person on XDA should have a nickname RootManiac
It's stable and Official. Only one thing is weird, if you try to set "write permissions" to the "system" in file manager, the phone won't let you do it and it'll reboot automatically... New SEAndroid feature...
Other than that, ALL OK, I'm using quite few apps with root access and all of them works fine, including restoring apps and data..
enjoy and report any issues
Sorry, but what does this do, does it root your device?
If you do this you don't have to do CF-Auto-Root?
Or, just when necessary, revert back to stock ROM?
And can someone explain to me what's Odin? I came from One XL.
After doing this, you still have to use CF-Auto-Root right?
Because this isn't permanent is it? Meaning you can't flash other ROMs etc unless you do CF Auto-Root?

Hi, thanks for this, but I've seen that you just posted German and UK versions, I'm from Spain, I could use for example the UK Rom?
Thanks!
EDIT: Solved XD I now understand that I just need to change the CSC to my region... With the app you said, or by using the Command: *#272*IMEI# so that you can do it manually from the phone without the need of the up, I tried it now and works perfectly thanks again! (You could put the info of the command in your first post, someone might want to know it!)

hU Djembey, YOUR MOD worked to root my UAMDM fRENCH Galaxy S4 , but I have a annoying message :" please reboot your device, ... non autorised application detected...."

I rooted my Note 3 on KitKat without tripping Knox, also got voice recording working

I just wanted to share that I was able to do it, and without tripping knox.
It was either a miracle, I have a special phone, I have no idea.
What I did:
- Entered ODIN mode
- Flashed CWM recovery for Note 3 (for my exact phone model, Samsung N900W8, it's a Canadian One) -- GENUINELY thought I'd trip Knox, but CF auto root was not working, so this was my option.
This somehow did not trip Knox at all, then all I had to troubleshoot a bit. I tried a few older versions of the SuperSU for CWM package, none of them worked... then finally I found out that these were old versions, I downloaded the 1.89 superSU package for CWM/TWRP, and now I am officially rooted.
Once I booted in, I had to load SuperSu which then said "Do you want to disable KNOX to get root working?" or something to that extent.. At my own risk I did that, still didn't trip the KNOX counter.
Booted up, works, able to use root on a lot of different apps.
I have no idea if it's a miracle it did not trip Knox, if I have a magic phone, etc.. but I thought I'd share.
This is root, not a custom kernel or anything.
Second bit: I was able to get call recording with Call Recorder working as long as I used to CAF (root required) option. No other option worked, not kernel, not with installed Alsa, etc..
If anyone wants any more specific information about my phone, I will gladly share. All I know is knox 0x0 with root is pretty sweet.
Was this the first time you rooted your N3? or did it have root on a lower android version?

Ask any question thread

I think it might be a good idea to have a thread for any questions as the its gonna get quite cluttered. Some questions might not need a thread. Anyway I have a question
Does the S6 have a rgb light for notifications?

Is the home button made of glass and aluminium like the rest of the device?
Does Viral (see my sig) work without any problems? And what resolution can you select?
Would an S6 bought from Saudi Arabia work in the UK incl 4G?
Does light flow work with the S6?
Hey, has anyone here an issue where the video quality gets really poor when in low light?
My videos all tent to look "milky" when the lights are off and the resolutions are higher than 720p.
Anyone here had a similar problem?

I have an s6 with carrier bloat, can I flash a unbranded firmware over it? Does it have a counter when flashing roms?

The only counter the S6 has right now is the Knox warranty counter. As long as you flash stock roms -not modified in any way- Knox shouldn't be tripped and you wouldn't loose the warranty and access to Samsung pay. If you modify the device with, for instance, PingPong Root, the status will be shown as 'Modified' and you will lose Samsung Pay and OTA updates untill you flash a stock rom again.
You can flash unbranded firmware without issues as long as its compatible. That was literally the first thing I did to my phone.

You can. You'd just lose your warranty and access to samsung pay. If you're interested in removing the carrier's bloatware, you can use the Debloater tool. Pretty straightforward, effective and safe. It can even 'disable' system apps so you should be careful with that.

If you flash a stock ROM over an already debloated one, the disabled apps won't become enabled. You'd need to perform a factory reset for them to become available again. This means you can flash newer versions of stock ROMs as they become available without fear of having to debloat again. This is nice if you want to try newer kernel versions included in the latest ROMs, or to try different basebands.
-As a sidenote, when I say flash the stock ROMs I refer to flashing with Odin, rather than custom recoveries (because installing custom recoveries voids the knox counter)

Knox will be tripped if you install a custom recovery or kernel - that's for sure, whether you use flashfire or odin or anything else.
Post 784 and 785 of this thread kinda reassure it, among others.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60861926&postcount=784
Check if knox is tripped by going into download mode (hold power button + home button + volumen down untill a cyan screen shows up, then volume up).
Is there any way to get nexus like navigation buttons on the s6? Also is there an app that can add long press function to the recent button?
Why does my Knox flag say 0x0304 and not 0x1 like everything else I've seen? I flashed TWRP for root/debloat and flashed back stock recovery for deep sleep. I don't care about warranty, I'm just curious if there's a difference. Model 920F.
Sensors not working
I installed Noble Nougat Experience 4.5 S8 port on my SM-G920F. Battery life was bad so I decided to go back to stock ROM.
I did something dumb. I deleted all partitions and Windows could not recognise my device.
I solved the problem with Smart Switch.
I installed stock ROM and everything was fine until I started Asphalt 8 game. I tilted my phone to control the car but car just went foward.
I thought it was the game issue but when I opened YouTube I couldn't go in landscape mode.
I tried to calibrate gyroscope sensor but it still didn't work.
I entered *#0*# in phone app and went to sensors and none of the worked and SensorHub Test failed.
If someone knows is it software or hardware problem.
Please help!!!

Is it possible to change System Status to Offical in Bootloader? Note 5

Hi Everyone,
So I'm at Best Buy trying to get my phone fixed and they'll flash their software if I can get the bootloader to say System Status: Offical right now it says System Status: Custom. Is this basic I have a custom kernel? I tried to flash the stock CIO5 kernel after flashing CIO5 Stock ROM but it didn't work. I used the (CIO5 stock Non-rooted kernel) boot.tar.md5 file in Forever Loco's ROM thread page #27 (I think). Thanks in advance for your help!

You need to do a full wipe and then odin flash the official coi5 n920t firmware.
After doing that the phone should say "status official".
It will never say "official" if all you do is flash zip file roms in twrp or in philz recovery or odin flash kernels.
Good luck,
Have a great day

Misterjunky was absolutely correct. Unfortunately though, KNOX will still remain triggered. I SURE hope someone figures out how to reset that before I'm ready for next JUMP upgrade. ?
Sent from my SM-N920C using Tapatalk
They don't check KNOX flags for Jumps do they? I would really doubt it, but who knows? For once in my life I'm keeping this Android stock. I want to use Samsung Pay when my bank supports it.
This is kind of strange because it's like Best Buy saying "we'll fix it for you if you can fix it first" lol. But yes, you won't be able to revert the bootloader Knox flag, but you can get the status in the settings back to Official, by flashing the official firmware yourself(then why would Best Buy need to do it?). Also I think there was an xposed module to fake official status in the settings.

Nah, Tmobile stores don't check Knox. I just traded in a Note 4 on JUMP and I don't think they even powered the phone on at all. They did kind of scrutinize the physical condition somewhat, but he may have just been checking the water damage sensor.
I have traded in three or four knox 0x1 / 0x2 without ever being stopped or back charged for it. The devices are sold to their insurance company where they are used for parts. The only time they might be concerned is if you trade it in within 2 weeks as they re-sell those phones and would be unable to sell it with knox tripped :highfive:
Knox being tripped wasn't the issue it was the system status line (see attached pic) they wouldn't flash because of that line. What happened was (I think) while flashing using Odin I must have accidentally clicked clear efs. So after trying literally everything I could find/think of I couldn't get the IMEI # changed in the secret menus (not sure if that's the right name) because I couldn't find the code that would get me to the menu to do it. It doesn't matter I lost the dam* phone.

Looks like you didn't factory reset it after you odin'd back to stock.
Try it again. Odin back to stock. The very initial boot, go into factory recovery and wipe data. You should be good to go after that
Last post said Shanda lost the phone so it doesn't matter lol

Samsung Health not working after OREO update

Hi Guys,
Yesterday I updated my phone via Odin to Oreo, but unfortunately samsung health says that my phone is rooted and it is not working anymore. ( Of course my phone is not rooted, I used stock firmware)
I think the problem is I used different region code firmware. Am I right? How can I use the app again? Wait for my original country's firmware and update via Odin would be a solution?

It detects Knox is 0x1. To fix this you must root your phone, go with root browser to the root of the device (/) then /efs. There you'll find a file "factory.prop". Open it and add there "ro.config.tima=0". Then you can unroot/reflash stock ROM and s health works

Check in Download Mode, if it says Warranty Void 0x1 then it has at one time either been rooted or had custom flashed to it, in which case Warranty is void anyway and you might as well root

It is still 0 (0x0000)
What about to downgrade back to Nougat? Will it work again?

not working... I did full wipe
Googled it and everybody recommends to root the phone in case of above S health bug... but I am looking for another solution ... Surprisingly this is the only app which thinks I am rooted...
Found it. I need to flash all components not Just AP in odin
And it works?
Yes! It is working now. You need to flash every stuff from the downloaded zip. Thankfully SamMobile attached everything you need.
:good:
As I see a lot of people facing this issue, and all "expert " recommends root. But there are other options too.
Anyway, thank you for all help

Experts recommend root if your KNOX is 0x1 because that is the only solution, if you fail to read up on how to flash firmware and end up with a problem because of your own fault, and fail to mention in your main post that you didn't flash the firmware correctly, we are not psychic, we can only go on the info you give us
Next time, learn how to flash firmware the correct way first

That's true, that was my mistake... in good old Times as I remember only AP was included in the ZIP,and that was enough.

Yep, with my S5 that was the method, but instructions for S7 are under the download on sammobile's site and all over this forum
As a rule when I get a new phone I spend a good few weeks reading threads before I attempt anything, even a simple stock flash, saves possible bricks and other problems like this one
Anyway good it's working again
I have the exactly same issue knox is 0x0 but Samsung health isn't working, can you please explain the exact steps about the following message how can i run Samsung health in g955u secure folder is also not working
