which rom with better ram management? - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

i've used many mod rom but i've always foud some lag, freezes and reboot, using currently whatsapp, facebook, exdialer, gmail, outlook, swiftkey...
Which is a stable rom to use all that apps? or i have to return to 2.3.6 or Xenoxmod or other older rom?
Thanks.

Our phone is too old to handle many task in the same time. So you should kill some tasks and clean memory usual. Install app that what you badly need, don't install too much on that. You have to try through roms and have decide by yourself. Good luck!

Ok!
According to your experiences, Which is more daily stable mod between :
Jellybam, querty, miui and xgamerz?
Thanks

Qwerty & Xgamerz are for daily use for sure.

I think for each different ROM's will be the best.
For me, it's CM10 Alpha 4 with Alpha 11 kernel v4 and CM10.1 Alpha 9

Xgamerz V2.4 is best
Sent from my GT-I9003 using xda app-developers app

The new Slim Bean is great!

why Xgamerz V2.4 and not last 3.1 version?? have you tested only 2.4?
now i'm on LIKE-S4 rom and dhriu 3.0.8 kernel.
nicsptl v4 kernel is better? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1976023
and about losco kernel (present in slim bean) ?
which is the best? are interchangeable?

Not being funny, but how many times has this question been asked?= too many times! Without appearing rude, perhaps you should search a little through the Q&A threads & read the many answers people have posted to this ( many times asked! ) question!
Even better idea! Go to the devlopment section & download a few for yourself to try!
Try them out! That's the best way. I like codename android 1.4 with Matr1x kernel. Just to give you somewhere to start
Bugless beast
I use evilisto 4.0.4 port

You've got to just try them out. I started with gummynex..was good..i tried CyberGR-MOD...stuck to it for few weeks...also liked it..very stable everything working.. now i am using Nuhetri-reloaded v 3.01...it seems to be extremely stable..based on ICS 4.04 an I am using Air Kernel 3.3 and liking it a lot.. i am finding it's been the fastest / smoothest ROM i have tried to date...
go on...be a FLASH WHORE
the NexusMV roms are on the top of my list
My favorite is nuhetri-reloaded-v3.0.1 and for me it was very stable and smooth. I use nuhetri's rom since v2.3.0 without any issue. No lags and no reboots

If you don't trust these numbskulls, go check the forums for your phone and see which one has has the highest views/thread count. Those are usually your best bet for a good (stable) rom.
I tried 3-4 custom roms. Cyber GR is the best. Fast (though not fastest), stable, lots of useful features.
Bugless beast with air kernel 65fps

I suggest you try to flash ROMs and Kernels. Best ROM for me might not be the best for you it depends on how you use your phone. All ICS rooms in the dev section are stable since we have the official ICS update. BTW Im using cyberGr stormy 3 v8. Happy flashing...

+1 .. nuhetri-reloaded is the best among stable (OTA-based) for me
You can check bedalus work on ICS ROMs:

I've used CyborGRv7, then Oddie's MIUI's ROM.
Now I am on nuhetri v3.0.1 and it's working flawlessly!! For now, it's option number 1 for me (but I haven't tried much either ).
everyone got their own opinions... it all comes down to ur preference ... personally. i m using aokp milestone 3...
itz feature packed and stable... follow my signature for details ...

[Q] Best Custom Rom?

Hey guys!! I was thinking of which cutom ROM to flash to. I am now currently on stock DXKP9. I need a ROM that is bug free unlike CM9 or MIUI with pretty major bugs although there are not much bugs. How about titanium ROM? I heard its on 4.0.4 and does not have bugs? I am thinking on whether to flash that or to flash to Poseidon DXKP9 Extreme. Thx!
Titanium is not 4.0 ....its just made t show 4.0 ...its a gb based ....I think u should install roms to see what is there to ur liking....most gb roms are bug free;so u can try any of those roms

MIUI is cool too.
Infinite themes! Literally
Best looking ROM ever!
You will fall in love with the LockScreens.
But again, it's not bug-free.
Thx all! I need a bug free ROM for daily use. Thx!
MIUI v10.5
Go for MIUI v10.5. There are a few bugs, yes, but no show stoppers. It can be used on a daily basis. Fantastic stability, smoothness and visually very appealing. Try it once, and all other UIs start looking half baked and ugly.
Treat yourself to eye candy, and not eye sore ROMs.

Lightest Rom?

Hi.
My Nexus S is kinda slow now and it cam be embarrassing sometimes.
I only use my phone for Google music, Tunein radio, podcasts, email and basic internet.
I was looking the other day to see what was eating my memory up and I noticed things that I don't use any more like twitter apps and stuff that I will never use like Google play books and play movies.
I am rooted and using a tweaked kernel, but I'm still using stock ROM. I think this weekend that will change.
I'm not interested in overclocking, just a little bit more quickness and stability.
Can anyone recommend a good kernel and ROM combo.
Kernel must have voodoo sound.
Cheers.

If you want blazing fast rom try Metal Dragon Overlord, only drawback it's 4.1.2, if you want 4.2.2. rom try Hellybean or CM10.1 nightlies.
Pretty much every kernel's got voodoo sound so that's nothing to worry about.
Rom&kernel combo? - Metal Dragon Overlord, matr1x kernel.
Hi,
Initially I was looking forward to a 4.2.2. ROM but I have read comments about lag after a week or so of using those ROM's. So I may just stick with a 4.1.2. ROM.
Looking for something that I can flash and forgot, something very mature that I can keep on my phone for the next year without thinking about it or getting reboots. Don't want to be flashing a new version every day.
Cheers.

I have had my eye on Rasbean for many many months. I have heard many good things about it. I think I will try that first.
I already have Thalamus kernel running with my stock ROM. Tbh it isn't blazing fast, but I have never had any reboots at all, unlike my brief flirtation with Marmite many months ago.

This is the closest, or one of the closest, to a stock 4.2.2 ROM you can get and it's light, no bloatware. Also if you're using a 4.2.2 ROM, you these mods as well: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2158329
It really increases your performance and doesn't affect battery.

A Stable rom with 4.1/4.2 (P3100) [request]

I currently use with the cyanogenmod 4.1 (Cyano 10) .. but it has many bugs, the tablet turns itself off, sometimes hangs .. That really leaves something to be desired .. then an application if any of you know of some friends rom with android 4.1 or 4.2 and that is stable, please let me know
- Thank you - Translated by google translator.
You can find many in the development forum .. Personally, I'd prefer CyanogenMod roms , it is stable and receive proper updates and continual developments. AOKP is awesome too .. Should give them a try. Sticking to stocks may be useful sometimes, but if so, we wouldn't be here in the first place
Anyway, I think the best thing is that you try almost everything and then decide by your own

Definitelly try Slimbean. You will be amazed how awesome it is. The last build has a little problem with maps aplication but there is a patch in slimbean thread that solves it. Rom is very stabble and smooth and the battery life is uncompareable to other roms i've tried. For P3100 it's the best non stock based rom that you can get I think(it's my on personal opinion).

Make sure you get the April 29 build and not the may 1st as it has some bugs.

By the way Every Android 4.2.2 ROM is Better then Google Stock ROM Android 4.1.2
Benchmark of Stock ROM Android 4.1.2 is Just 1500+ .. So, i am Very disappointed..
I agree that there is no best ROM, I just wish I had the problem of picking a best 4.3 ROM for the NS4G... there are like 3 choices, maybe, and they don't handle data well, if at all.

Benchmark doesn't mean anything. I mean even if the do, there more than a benchmark number to the every day use.
It's also about stability, smoothness, memory management, multi app use.
I truly think 4.2.1 stock is the most stable of all of them. Add a good kernel to it, and it's like google on steroid. Again, we are talking 512ram here, so don't expect too much. People expect different things from their phone. I don't play games at all, but I stream music via bluetooth constanly while I use navigation. Imagine these 2 memory hogs running at the same time and someone is calling you.
4.2 for me personally was a bit buggy. 4.3 is much better, still not as good as 4.1.
Does BlackBean-9 to Nexus S?
Sorry folks, best rom threads get closed, why? because history shows that almost all of them become arguments over what rom is "better" and essentially, that is something that can only be determined by individual users.
Members are expected to read the thread in development to determine what is "best" for them.
