pls help......

i am using amits cf root 17-12-2011 version.
when i use app 2 sd app,it shows me option to move app only to USB STORAGE..but not to sd card so it make me problem as i install a lots of apps........

Its alright, just move to USB storage. Same thing to me

To move your apps to external sd you need to move apps to usb storage.
Usb storage means external sd!!
When you press the button to move to usb storage the apps are moved to external sd.

ok lets make u myself clear.i have phone memory of 1.70gb,usb storage of 1.52gb and external sd card of 8gb.app2sd move apps to usb storage(1.52gb), bt i want to move it to external sd card(8gb).how to do dis?

Ohh. This is what i am telling you!! It will move apps to external sd!! The 8 gb one.. Not to internal 1.52 gb one!

ok sorry for not undersranding u.now i am clear abt it.just one query my usb storage is showing only 0.94gb free from 1.52gb.if i format it then is there any side efect of it.and wat things will be deleted if i do dis?

If you delete the 1.52 gb storage, all your internal sd card data will be lost. Meand the data you see in my files leaving the external sd folder. Also some apps store data in this. It is advised not to format but delete unwanted data only!!

Same is happening for me, but my phone is smooth so I don't mind. I'm using miui. Stock should have at least 200+ free

Read the OP of miui rom to find out. There's a blacklight issue for some users

Blacklight is the lighting up of the backlight of the screen but not showing anything else on the sscreen. Please do some search on your own

310MB of RAM is not a lot. miui 8 is not without bugs. even without anyone saying "read all 158 pages", you can simply read the first page and last 3 pages, and ALSO READ THE Q&A THREAD and you will see whether or not all bugs are squashed

[Q] How to Install apps in sdcard...except sdcard partation?

I can not install apps in sdcard in my HTC wildfire and i also S-OFF and ROOTED my device.
Could somebody help me? What should I do?

Have you tried making an ext-4 partition on your card? If the ROM supports it it will install apps in there automatically

APP2SD doesn't move some apps to sdcard.

That's because some apps aren't movable. These include Widgets, system apps and apps that developers have blocked from being moved

I'm new to this forum...I'm on Pranjals Rom v2.4...I followed the instructions given by pranjal on Link2sd but I have no idea wat it does..
Now I want to switch to Purukisad hybrid Rom...Can some1 tell me wat Link2sd does n ways to install it in Purukisad.....Thanks

LINK2SD IS PREINSTALLED ON PURUKISADHYBRID
link2sd basically links your USER apps to sd and saves space on phone mem( i think)

1. you need to be aware that you need ext4 partition on your sdcard in order to use either hd2sd(hybriddata2sd), app2sdv2 or v3...or link2sd...
2. my suggestion to you as you are new to this....grab stickies in general section and start reading just as i did when i came here...you will learn a lot of things if you will read first....and welcome to @xda community

But when I opening Link2sd after granting permissions how to go further, from where to select system?? then ext4 ??

Please answer guys on htc desire 620 rooted stock..i cant move apps to sd card it tells me that i dont have a primary exstorage..any walk around ? ( sd card 16 g.b is inserted and fully working.)

Download app called link2sd from playstore.

you can make an sd card partition and move apps and data to sd card...or just install link2sd and see if it helps you

hahaha sorry mate buy my friends name is also flash xD and yup specially from Syria am so happy xD and by no hope i mean the same it tells me that it seems like your device doesn't have an external primary storage.

i had an htc chacha ...tha internal was only 150 mb!! so i made it 1 gb ....... i did this but i'm not sure if it works on new devices ...you are free to try !!.....
do a partition of the sd card ...1GB or 2GB ,,,,and then reboot to recovery and flash this after....so now you should have the internal storage like (the original one+the partition)

android kitkat ....i don't know if this exist but try it... go to
settings>>apps>>and press the menu button and see if there is a option called...preferred installation bath or something like that>>>set it to removable sd card

Out of memory error in MMX a110

I am using Micromax A110.Recently i updated it to ANDROID KITKAT.There is no move to SD card option available,so i am facing out of memory error.I tried uninstalling many apps and then also i cant install other apps.Please help me with this ? ??

Sorry midhun, i don't think that problem can be solved.(without rooting)
But you can try uninstalling app updates which you don't need.

Sure, I think you should get rid of all bloatware on your phone first.
You can use apps like Root Uninstaller or ES File explorer for that.
Also there are apps(root) that can help you move apps to the SD card (like Link2SD), I'm not that confident about using link2SD because it can cause some problems here and there.

I think the only way is to reset your device; re-root it; remove all useless apps and then install the apps you want.
That may solve your problem .

To use link2sd... There should be an additional partition on ur
sd card..in FAT,ext2 or ext4 format...

I repartioned the system,now i have FAT-2MB.80kb Data-3GB Cache-55MB System-512MB.But due to out of memory error i coudnt install Link2SD now ?

I said partition your sd card (external card) not the internal partition
