Has anyone managed to import SMS from an Androis/iOS device? After a lot of googling I found, that the "import my data" app can only import SMS from Lumias and Symbian phones. Plus ive read, that you cannot make such app because MS does dot give you access to those APIs.
I've been looking around for a solution but it seems that we have to accept to let go all of our precious texts behind.... ?

I've tried to point the Nokia Transfer My Data app at my HTC Titan but it won't connect. I occassionally get a 'Unsupported' message on the Titan so I think the Titan's Bluetooth doesn't connect whatever profile is trying to be used. Anybody got any suggestions for transferring text messages from a HTC Titan to a Lumia 1020?
I have transfered my contacts and SMS from my Titan to my Lumia 1020 with Transfer my Data and it works.

Most providers now provide some kind of service for this. Try checking with your phone company.

This might be a dealbreaker on my decision to go from Android to windows

Copy to contacts
Hi,
Didn't you copy all your informations to the Contacts part of your pda before deleting the contacts on your sim ?
It's two different things with the same content, much or less, so you may recover one from the other.

Hi All,
I'm planning to move from Windows mobile to Android, but I have a few questions.
How about my textmessages, they are now saved on my device. Is there any way to place them on my sim card again. Or is there a backup program out there with wich I can move my text messages to my new android based phone??
I have the same problem with my contacts. There are to many to put them on my sim card. It only allows 33 contacts. Is there a possibility to backup them to my storage card or any other solution.
I always used pim backup for windows mobile, but I think this won't work on android.
I really searched for a solution but couldn't find any
can you please help me
thanks in advance
I've never used this myself, but have heard rave reviews about it. It sounds just like what you need...
http://www.fusionone.com/
Hope it helps!
i'm pretty sure gmail/google sync will handle your contacts no problem...
Use google sync http://www.google.com/mobile/products/sync.html#p=winmo It will transfer all your contacts to your gmail account, then use google sync on your android. As for txt messages I don't know why you would need to save them from one phone to the other. Try to foward them to your self via email on your winmo phone.
Thank you all for you're reply's
I just tried google sync but can't get it to work on my device.
I get the following error : 0x85010004
I googled for it but couldn't find a solution.
The program "johncmolyneux" named in his post is sadly enough only for paid users.
I found one other program wich could work, it's called: spritemigrate
http://www.spritesoftware.com/products/migrate/how-does-it-work-
Does anyone know this program, or does anyone have a solution for the google sync problem.
would be much appreciated
Hi all,
I'm using O2 Atom Life (Windows Mobile), now I just buy one G1, and I want to transfer my data (contact + messages) to G1 but I don't know how to do it
Please give me advice
Thank
try sprite migrate
http://www.androlib.com/android.application.com-spritemobile-migrate-qiFz.aspx
oh thank
and i want to find an app that can use touchscreen to control some features (such as suspend, restart, ... like iHome on iPhone); do you know it?
As a note sprite migrate does not yet transfer sms if you have a WM palm phone or using the palm sms.
did you use it? Sprite said it can?
Sprite Migrate is the easiest way to bring all your mobile data over to Android.
Sprite Migrate can transfer your data from Windows Mobile, Symbian(Nokia) and Blackberry to Android. Currently we transfer Contacts, SMS, Call Logs and Bookmarks, with more content coming soon...

I have, but again if you have the PALM thread SMS installed it won't transfer it. I have spoke to them about this and they said they will add it. The regular WM SMS should just transfer over fine.

thank but I think this app not work for O2 Atom Life, do you know others?
What or why is not specifically working? I only ask because that is so far the only App I have seen to do what your asking for.
in my O2 Atom Life, when I press start to begin transferring my data, after the step "Finallizing...", then it stands up and don't process anything; it lags my phone; I waited for 10 mins and I had to reboot my phone

I don`t , I just found thisone when checking new apps on market. I didn`t tryed that so please don`t PM me with questions
Another way could be transfering sms to some xml format and then import them via some android backup apk. Contacts, mails etc could be ported via ms office and then via gmail acc.
ok, thank you

On your old phone sync with your google calendar. Its a type of exhange sync that google put up to make this easier.
info is here http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/topic.py?hl=en&topic=15305
and then once on your new android they will be pulled back down just fine when you setup your phone with your gmail account.
Hi everyone,
I have recently bought a Samsung Jack i637. I have been using Sony Erricsson W200i for more than 3 years. I have huge phone book - approximately 1000 contacts with some of them having multiple numbers and email ids. W200i doesn't come with a bluetooth feature.
Can anyone help me transferring the entire contact list to Samsung Jack?
Please help me
Raj.
UPDATE
Here is a slight progress:
I am able to upload the contacts to the PC using My Phone Explorer(Exclusive to Sony Ericsson Phones) and made a back-up file with an extension .mbp
Can any one suggest a software which can import from .mbp and copy the contents into Samsung Jack??

Use SPB Backup (or other backup software)
when U generate backup file with contact send it via BT to Jack (also send spbbackuprestore.exe)
When U send these files - run spbbackuprestore.exe and select backup file)
That's all
Best regards

Hi guys , I purchased Nexus S I9023 2days ago , I update the software to ICS 4.0.3
I need to copy my contacts from my old phone Nokia N73 , I got the contacts in Vcards but a lots of files , when I try to upload them to google contacts it only allows one file upload , is there another way to copy the contacts or a way to combine the contacts in VCF file !?
and thanks in advance for any help
I didn't have any problem when I first moved to android from my e71 but I think that's because I was already using google sync. Do you still have your n73? You could set it up still.

Using vcfcards is the simplist way to copy contacts from old nokia to new android. Try it yesterday and it was working with no problem. Dont be scared of the large number of exported vcf contacts. Android wil import them all at once.
How about copying them to the SIM card on your Nokia then to your Nexus S?
set sim card in nokia , copy all conctact to SIM , set sim card in nexus s and move all SIM contacts to nexus s..
what about import/export function in your g account?
Application
