If you want the latest update you can install the RUU direct from HTC using HTC sync manager. Backup your files and stuff.

If the OP is trying to install a Sense 5 OTA, RUUs are not available yet.

Oh my bad, I guess he can unlock the boot loader, flash twrp, root, s off, install one of the sense 5 roms but if he doesn't want to do that he should just call at&t or something. Sorry for the confusion.

Where does it say he has an AT&T phone or is an AT&T customer?
Necronhyperion, there is no where near enough info in your posts to offer any advice. You need to tell us what phone you have, what version it is currently running, supercid/s-off status and exactly what update you are trying to install.

I'm not an AT&T customer i live in Greece
How can i see the boot loader details ?

*sorry for the Greek language but i don't have it now in my hands to change it.

Turn off your phone, once it's off completely hold the volume down button, then hold the power button (so you're holding them together), after a few seconds let go of power but keep holding volume down until it reaches the white screen with text. This is your bootloader.

why is this problem of the carrier? I can make this update from wi fi without sim card.

Still need those bootloader details.

Your software version is 1.88, which is pretty out of date, and you've missed one or more OTAs. So you therefore will not receive any more OTAs (they must be received sequentially, and you will only get the latest).
Your best bet may be to RUU to the latest available software. But if your phone is SuperCID and S-on, and you run a Jellybean RUU, you will brick the phone. Which is why timmaaa is asking for your hboot details (for more info, so we can help properly).

All ota are still available from HTC. The update is failing on his phone likely because it has been modded.
The user is just very slow at answering questions.
Once we can confirm lock, soff and super cid status best bet is still likely a ruu.

Getting this on the One X
I'm getting this too on my HTC One X. Before trying to install the OTA, I reverted to the HTC stock recovery from ClockworkMod Recovery. Could it be because I did something wrong during that?

I know what I'm talking about, you're definitely in the wrong forum. If you look at the step above it says, at&t, Rogers One X, Telstra One XL. This is the Evita forum, not the Endeavour. At&t and Rogers confusingly marketed this phone as the One X but it is actually the One XL (Evita). You have the Endeavoru.

HTC One S - RUU 2.35 HERE!

RUU 2.35 (TMOBILE US) for the HTC One S is now available at long last.
If you've been having trouble getting back to stock, but can't due to having HBOOT 1.14.0004 from the latest OTA... RUU 2.35 is finally here to get you back to the latest US T-Mobile Stock image.
Thanks to dave87everett for being able to get RUU 2.35. Here is the link to his post at HTCOneForum.com
And his direct link to the file.
I also put it up at FileHosting.org and FileDropper.com in case there are problems with that first link.
FYI: The first page in the HTCOneForum thread I linked above has instructions for getting back to stock.
I can confirm this works as I'm finally back to stock after a month of frustration... here is a screenshot.

This will get you back to stock (2nd OTA update v2.35) It's the factory ROM and it'll work just like you bought it and did the latest 2 OTA updates.
What I believe broke Wifi for certain ROMS was that 2nd OTA update with upgraded Hboot to 1.14 (and maybe a radio or something). This RUU is Hboot 1.14 which is the same as getting that second update.
A lot of the custom ROMs Wifi didn't work with this...... and if this was the reason your Wifi wasn't working, this update won't help. I'm not sure if there were different Wifi issues with different solutions.
I had the same problem with the Wifi not working on the CM nightlies and a lot of other ROMs. The only ROM that I was able to use Wifi with was the Unofficial AKOP Jelly Bean Rom. So you may try that.
Hope that helps.

Haha. Thank the guy who posted it here. I was so excited that I even sent him $10 to help offset what it cost him to get it. (Made sure it worked first). I've been waiting for it for a month or so.
I wanted to try Jelly Bean, and while the customs ROM's are great (I tried 5 or 6 of them), they just aren't ready for use as a daily driver yet in my opinion. Big issues for me being the HTC camera (which is really good), and battery life (I was dying by mid afternoon rather then bedtime which was a deal breaker for me). Otherwise a few of the custom ROMs are pretty solid.
So I decided to go back to stock. Opps, Uh, yeah, not so easy with this phone if you did the latest OTA before rooting.
After hours of research, I finally found the answer. I could supercid and do the Euro RUU, or wait for the T-Mobile RUU 2.35. I didn't want to go Euro route, though I almost was ready to before I found this. I really wanted to get back to stock T-Mobile because I saw that HTC announced they are releasing the official Jelly Bean update this month. Though I'm guessing it'll be longer for T-Mobile to get it tweaked with their junk and push it out.
Finally on Monday I found that thread I mentioned above. The guy said he was working on getting the RUU. The next day he posted it. I was like "OMGOMGOMGOMG!!!" just like you :victory:. Been back on it for 24 hours now. Stock is faster, way more stable, everything works, and the battery life is much much better than any of the ROMs I tried.
Glad I'm not the only who who's super excited

Also, once it updates, you can't go back to previous hboot versions and the older RUU's won't work. Only RUU 2.35 or later will (I think the latest EURO one works too).
Thanks for this, will come in handy if I need to exchange four warranty. Thanks again.

Thank the freaking lord. I was about to go insane with no wifi. You are awesome!
Hi,
can this RUU be used on S3 device from Europe to get 4.0.4 and sense 4.1 ???
You posted this the day after I gave up on this RUU and used supercid to flash the latest EU -_-
Oddly enough, I was having wifi troubles on my 1.06 (or was it 09?) HBOOT but it's working flawlessly now. Before it would rapidly switch back and forth between scanning, connecting, and disconnected. After I flashed the EU, I started loading custom ROMs and Viper, TrickDroid, and CM10 have all worked much better with this HBOOT/radio than before. Thanks for this RUU though, I'm sure it'll come in handy for when T-mobile finally pushes JB OTA. Most of us will have to return to this to flash it I'm sure
thanks, I wait so long...

Can I install this rom on a German t-mobile variant?
Hi,
First of all, thanks for the upload!
I have two small questions if someone can help...
1. I have a German T-Mobile One s with software version 1.77.111.5.
Can I install this US stock Rom on my phone?
2. If so, where can I get instructions how to install it?
Thanks!
Would I be okay using this with i wireless?
My device is unbranded.

What is a CID?
CID lock (aka vendor lock): Carrier Id - put on your device by the manufacturer to prevent installation of a ROM not released by them. Commonly used in the form `CID-Unlocking`. If you purchase your phone (example) from 3Mobile (3Mobile is the ‘carrier’), your phone will only accept 3Mobile ROMs (the carrier’s ROMs). If you want to flash ROMs from other carrier, you’ll need to CID-unlock your phone, so that your phone will accept other ROMs. All bootloaders (apart from HardSPL and SSPL) will only allow a ROM with the correct CID to be flashed onto the device. A device which has been CID unlocked will have ‘SuperCID’ which allows ANY ROM to be loaded onto the device, SuperCID also unlocks the Ext_ROM and allows it to be mounted. Note: In general, the phrase ‘unlock your phone’ usually refers to SIM-unlock, not CID unlock.
What is Super CID?
SuperCID : by CID unlocking your device the value of the CID is changed to SuperCID . This allows the flashing of ANY ROM/RUU to the device regardless of the carrier and also unlocks the read/write capability of the Ext_ROM.
How to use the script?
Download the attached file
Extract the file
boot your phone into bootloader
Run the script and follow the on screen instructions

You dont need that to run ruus. It is risky and could brick your phone if you mess up. I've personaly trried it without that 2nd method and it works fine. I am on ATT and installed Developer ruu with the fastboot supercid method. Getprop still show CWS__001. Only thing that is good for is changing data icons from 4.2 roms..
I can almost guarantee someone bricks their phone, just takes 1 wrong character..

Someone will figure out what is causing the issue soon enough but For now, just leave it as HTC__044. Change cid to 11111111 if you need to install an unsupported ruu. No benefit from just having supercid, you gotta use it to benefit.

There's a zip to change data icons in 4.2.2 already. I see no benefit in doing 2nd cid unless that's only way I can get ota.
Cuz I can do it but don't want to if I don't have to

Things you should know:
-I set some of the cmd prompts to pause. This is because I believe that you should see what the toolkit is doing, rather then it doing things automatically and you end up not learning anything. If a prompt says to "press any button to continue", do so!
-I do my absolute best to code this without bugs and I try it out before I release it. I spent quite a while going through making sure the toolkit works. If you find any bugs, glitches, typos, button not working, script not working, etc. or simply want me to implement a feature into the toolkit, PLEASE LET ME KNOW ^^ (This was over 1000 lines of code in Visual Studio 2013 you know, and I am a human being ). While this is what I do on my side, as with most tools, you use EZToolkit at your own discretion.
- I try to make things in the best manner possible.
If you need help, you can post a comment on the forum here, email me at [email protected], or chat with me on skype @ "dudeamazing3". I will try to help you ASAP.
Thank beaups for the S-OFF procedure, Chainfire for the SuperSU app, djrbliss for the MotoChopper script, and the TWRP team for their recovery.

Yes, I have heard windows 8.1 has trouble with fastboot. The success with 8.1 has been up and down for me as I can never give a straight answer for it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I have had more success on windows 7 as it works almost 100% of the time. You should see if the latest HTC drivers will work, you are using the original HTC cable or another fastboot compatible cable, and that you are using a USB 2.0 port.

HTC One Mini 4.4.2 s-off?

Are there anyways that you can s-off at 4.4.2? With 2.22hboot? If yes, is it possible to remove tampered also? And can you return to s-on with fastboot oem writesecureflag 3?
Try revone can't hurt

Try to downgrade the hboot to 2.21 that may give back the ability to S-OFF your One Mini

Any guide on how to? If I s-off with hboot 2.21, can I upgrade it back to hboot 2.22 so it works?

You need to have the Firmware.zip with the hboot 2.22 to upgrade again, you will find it in the OTA file for example.
You did not say anything about the rom / OTA version (cidnum) that is installed on your mini, but you will need the exact version from the CID, that is now displayed on your Mini !!! For example HTC__001 !
I do not have the hboot 2.22, but i did a firmware flash from hboot 2.21 to hboot 2.19 and back again to hboot 2.21 so I think it should work, but I am S-OFF already !!!
Maybe there is someone around here with experiance of hboot 2.22 and knows which kitkat version/OTA has the needet frimware.zip file.
I only know about the different hboots 2.19 and 2.21 because I flashed these to get my 4.4.2 update.
So be sure you have your version of files that you have now and want back after S-OFF
Try this
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip (maybe there is a notice that you should do this a second time, then you net to type line 2 again!)
fastboot reboot
As I am not an expert, I don´t know for sure if that works, sorry
You really don't even need s-off? Only thing its good for is mess in **** up.lol

There are versions on play store of busy box that install from recovery. Maybe "busybox on the rails".

Yea, sorry for not telling you. I already s-off it with rumrunner. I just had to flash a different rom that has unsecured kernel. Thanks though. And also ty for ur ruu extracted files. I downloaded it and flashed the hboot then took the ruu back a while ago when my phone didn't work.
Ive been trying ages to s-off my rooted HTC One Mini (m4) just so I can removed the startup sound, and move some notification sounds into the system notification folder and do other things with the system and remove some bloatware. Here is my setup:
HTC one Mini (M4) Rooted
Stock ROM - Meteor Ireland
Version: 4.3 HTC sense Version 5.5
HBoot: 2.21 0000
Tried Fire Water looks like its going through motions and then says whelp phone is not supported DO NOT COME TO IRC ASKING FOR UPDATES OR ETAS! ... if we are able to fix this issue, it will be announced ********** ********** bye bye.....sorry it didn't work out
Then I tried revone but that failed error = 1 after typing ./revone -P
im stuck now, dunno what to do/try - I dont really want to go down road of wiping/installing different rom if i can help it - phone is too good to brick!

My custom kernel has selinux disabled so there's really no need for s-off.

[Q] Bootloop. No recovery.

A friend owns this. Somehow the phone went into bootloop. Just shows the htc logo and then turns off and on, again shows the htc logo. Plus theres no recovery. When i tried going into the recovery a red error drawn up on a phone appeared, thus couldnt enter into recovery.
Phone is stock. Non rooted, nothing modified, tweaked. Bootloader locked.

Solution
OK. For this you gonna need to unlock Bootloader. Use this
HTML:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2133336
.
WARNING: It will Factory Reset his device!
Then download any recovery (CWM, TWRP or 4EXT), and flash it through fastboot.
There is the complete guide of how to do that:

I suspect the phone has been xtc clipped to remove s-on and sim unlock. In any case the exclamation mark is a stock recovery. If you run a ruu (ROM update utility) you will restore the phone to factory settings. Hboot does not need unlocked as you have s-off

Its quite simple tell me your region of the world/carrier the phone was on if you know it. We will locate the correct software version and you will download it. Plug phone into the PC In hboot mode and run the program. It will do its business and flash factory software. Reboot and done all going well

http://www.shipped-roms.com/downlo...AU_3805.06.02.03_M_release_199605_signed.exe I would use this one, the source is trusted yeah it will work allowing the phone is not sim locked and this ROM is ICS based HTC sense.

Yeah man that's all. If it fails then we can extract the file required and give it to hboot manually, but we shouldn't have to all going well
