Verizon S3 has a locked bootloader.
No root yet.

Tried to root using universal restore method used in most ics smartphones. But no success. The restore method needs to be tweeked to work with xolo x500/yolo. I wish madoCo could help. And is bootloader locked?
Looking for root too
I have been trying to root my Yolo and no success, I think the dev who rooted X900/Orange San Diego to help, I think the process should be the same.
The problem is its a local phone

I contacted the dev who contacted the orange xolo, and gave him some log outputs (they can be found at modaco, the dev is rickywyat, http://www.modaco.com/topic/358489-toolaio-tool-for-san-diego-and-xolo/page__st__1020). Unfortunately he said he couldn't root this medfield based phone because it was already on ICS. Apparently medfield (x86) doesn't have a rooted ICS version. So we are out of luck for now.

My suggestion is that you read up on this. You hardly even know what you're asking for.
Before you root any device you should at least know something about it. Just root it won't make it any better without modding, tweaking etc.
You can end up with a brick.
Rooting won't make it faster. Rooting is like unlocking a door to a control room - it doesn't change anything unless you know how to use the controls.
Look in here or Google for how to root your device if you're sure it's the right choice. You can brick it an thereby make it infinitely slower if you're not careful. You will need to do more than just installing some apps that require you to have already rooted for them to work.
Unless you can install CWM (and look into TWRP before doing that) from a usb connects without root, you're not going to be helped by that at all. It won't make your tablet faster, anyway. Look up what it is before trying to install it or anything else.

Ok guys thanks for waking me up out of this bad dream! lol
Well you know i take ur advice, read something about it and then decide.
Is there even a good solution to make it a bit faster?
Cause when i play real racing 3 some tracks lags a bit , while with others
it wont.
greets
R: NEED HELP WITH ROOT please read thanks!
Root is a good idea to make your tablet faster. If you want to overclock cpu or gpu or manage services or pretty much do anything to your phone (which can go from normal system cache cleaning to flashing a different, lighter and faster, version of android to your tablet).
So, yes, if you want to make your tablet really faster (a noticeable change) it would be smart to root it...but you gotta search the web understand what you are gonna do how you are gonna do it also if it works most of the times or its a complete fails. Search the web! U will find out all the risks and advantages to modding your android.
If your want to root it look for it on google, youtube, or here (it's surely already been posted somewhere).
Just use these keywords for your search
'Your tablet name/model' 'android version' root.
Before overclokking or whatsoever, know that exceeding your limits (especially if your device is not high end) can lead you to break your tablet completely. too much modding can lead to fast battery drainage, overheating and possibly meltdown of hardware components
So be careful what you do!

Just follow a guide from the Galaxy Nexus forum - I'm pretty sure the device was quite popular and has its own entire forum.

Do you know how to enter recovery mode on your tab?
If you do you can try to download a generic-root-signed.zip
No name tablets usually don't have a private key for files so it might work to root it that way. Otherwise you can try Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry.
There are many ways to try...
Hello Tyson
Well iam gonna try it thanks for your advice.
Let you know.

[Q] Need Recovery and ROM for HKC P771A

I need help finding a compatible recovery and ROM for my HKC Tablet P771A. I've already rooted it, which was a pain and took about 5 hours. From what I know there is NOT a CWM Recovery or a TWRP that is compatible with it. Also, I haven't been able to find any ROMs for it either.
I'm willing to take risks with whatever MIGHT work.
