Please help on Casual Script flash Galaxy S III to Pageplus! - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

So I followed the Casual script to unlocked/flash my Verizon for Pageplus. I have already ported the Verizon number to Pageplus. I followed the thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...6#post42791826
Step 1. Root- Success
Step 2. Flash Insecure Aboot- Sucess
Step 3. Flash Recovery of your choice- installed TRWP -Success
Phone rebooted into TRWP
1. I choose reboot, then system to restart my Galaxy S III
Then I get messages
1. Mobile network not available (it has the correct MEID)
2. A SIM card is necessary to operate this phone. - the Tap-tap method on the language screen doesn't work. I don't see "emergency call."
As a newbie, I don't have the minimum post to ask these questions on the above thread. What do I need to do? Wife came home and it's her phone that I ported from Verizon to Pageplus and is on my case! Thanks!

Samsung i5800 first instructions

Hallo everyone!
I am new to this board and i have a few questions.
I recently bought a Samsung i5800 with android 2.1. Unfortunately i have problems with the pin requesting (i read in forum, that this is a known issue, my provider seems to use a modified firmware, that causes the problems).
So i want to update my mobile because people in forums say, that this is fixed by updating to samsung original 2.1 or 2.2
However I read, that I should make a backup, before I do so.
So please can you give me instructions how I should start(with links)?
And do I need to root my phone? to do upgrading or to install an official firmware?
And how do I unlock my mobile for all sim cards?(In my Country Austria it's absolutely legal to unlock the sim card).
And shall i first root it and then upgrade or upgrade and root it?
And how do i do a backup without rooting?(I want to have this current system as backup, for warranty issues).
If possible, i want to do an upgrade without rooting.
Thanks for the answeres.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=778880
thanks slumpolo
I read this, but i dont know where to start ...
shall i root it first?(do I need to?) or shall i upgrade it first?
and there is no instruction for backups...
ok
I began with downloadin odin a.s.o
now i just noticed, that the download mode (vol- + home+ power when you turn the mobile off) is not working...
I bought my mobile 2 weeks ago from telering.
Is there a way to enable this download mode?(maybe as root?)
ok
now i rootet it, however i have the problem, that i cannot back it up
i tried clockwork recovery... with rom manager
I go to recover system, then it reboots and then i come to the recovery menu but there is no option for recovery...
is there any other way to recover a samsung galaxy 3 i5800?

[Q] Need help With soft Bricked Galaxy S3 I535 Verizon Model

Alright guys so here is the whole story with how I "Soft bricked my GS3 I535 Verizon version 4.4.2
I rooted my phone with the application "Kingo Root". It worked flawlessly my phone was rooted and i was able to install SuperSU and rootchecker and a whole bunch of other great root only apps. After I realized how great rooting was I decided I wanted to change my ROM to cyanogen since that what most people seem to prefer for a rooted phone. I downloaded an earlier version of EZ UNLOCK app to unlock the bootloader to that I could access the bootloader to flash a new ROM. After I used the EZ UNLOCK and turned off my phone to get into the recovery IT WAS HARD BRICKED . Luckily though I found this thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2581166 Which worked like a charm and had my device up and running again but was dependent on the new Ext SD card to boot up. When I got to the step where I was supposed to recover the Stock bootloader onto the device it seemed to work. I input the code in the Terminal that the instructions said to do with the debrick.bin file. (My file was actually a debrick.img disck image file) But I didnt think it mattered too much. After inputing the code and waiting for it to finish the process I tried to reboot to see if it would boot off of internal memory. Now it is stuck in a boot up loop AKA soft bricked i supppose. I cannot get into recovery as it is locked because of verizon stuff still.
At this point I have backups of everything I REALLY want to keep so If I can get to factory defaults even, that would absolutely fine.
PLEASE PLEASE HELP!
I apologize for the lengthy story but I feel the more info i give the easier it is for you to help.

This WILL trip KNOX! And you will most probably lose warranty!
Enable "OEM Unlock" in developer settings. Also enable USB debugging in developer settings. Before flashing!
LastStandingDroid said:
If you don't enable OEM unlock you will get a FAP lock and it will end up in failure of flashing
2.nd is to not "relock" the oem unlock since if you might trigger something that tries to boot into a "custom" recovery it will stay on boot loop into a "FAP" binary info on S5 Neo Screen

Detailed how to guide, thanks to NotGrump903:
Code:
[QUOTE="NotGrump903, post: 0"]I wrote a little guide on how to root Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo SM-G903F with this new CF-Autoroot files.
Should work with SM-G903M too, you just need to download the file for the M variant.
Note that this will trip KNOX to 0x1! You, and only you, are responsible for what you do with your device.
When something goes wrong no one from XDA can held responsible. Do this at your own risk!
First make sure you have the latest Samsung USB drivers.
Then simply follow these steps:
1. Download the CF-Autoroot zip file for your phone from [URL="https://download.chainfire.eu/779/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-s5neolte-s5neoltexx-smg903f.zip"]here for G903F[/URL] or [URL="https://download.chainfire.eu/780/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-s5neolte-s5neolteub-smg903m.zip"]here for G903M[/URL]
2. Extract it to desired location.
3. Enable USB debugging and OEM-Unlock in developer options of S5 Neo.
If you don't know how to do this or what this is,
you should most probably stop right here and leave your phone as it is ;)
4. Open Odin.exe from extracted folder.
5. Power down your phone and boot into download mode by pressing and holding Vol. down + Home + Power.
Confirm by pressing Vol. Up.
6. Connect your phone to your PC and wait for Odin to state "added".
7. Click on AP button and select "CF-Auto-Root-s5neolte-s5neoltexx-smg903f.tar.md5"
8. Wait for Odin to finish binary check, then simply press start and wait.
The phone should restart a few times. When this is done you're rooted!

Little back story
How I noticed this
Used root tools and re disabled OEM unlock.
Tested to create a backup with flashfire and it failed and got me stuck on s5 neo with custom recovery binary FAP lock message
Ended up power down phone upon powering up same thing happened booting into stock recovery worked but didn't help not even if I wiped cache or factory reset.
Ended up in restoring whole system to make it work again.
So don't re lock the OEM unlock option it will end up bad if you try to do even if you don't have a custom recovery yet.
Thnx for writing the guide!

According to:
https://autoroot.chainfire.eu/
you have to use another file for G903M. Should work however.
It is called try at your own risk proceed with caution. It isn't ment for your device and might render some stuff useless. Chainfire haven't made one specific for m variant but it might work.
Again you try it with your own risk. Chainfire doesn't being held responsibility for your actions.

I thought the question is, that there are 2 variants of G903M, one is with dual sim (DS) one is without. I guess.
And there is root for M variant too.
Just check the OP again. Or chainfire. It was there since F.
EDIT: or the M means DS and thats the difference between those neo variants? Im not sure here xD
EDIT2: Yeah, then I guess all g903M are dual sim. http://www.phonemore.com/compare/ph...mds-vs-samsung-galaxy-s5-neo-sm-g903f/2917321
Then nvm I guess.

Will ROOTING my SM-G903F allow me to remove Region Lock?
Hi everyone, and first of all thanks for providing this information!
I just got my S5 NEO, and unfortunately found out that it was Region Locked, so I am not able to use it with my local SIM.
My only interest in rooting the device at this time is to remove the region lock.
So naturally, my question is, will rooting actually allow me to do this?
Would really appreciate a clarification on this!
Thanks guys!

Well, I know there were some files for unlock, flashable by ODIN, way before root. Also lots of users reporting success. It was on gsm hosting forums, but now all I can find is this: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f94...laxy-s5-neo-fast-safe-unlockunit-com-1992423/
Maybe they removed it, to sell that service.
But anyway, you can try doing it over https://chimeratool.com/ they got a trial you can use, if you already didnt use it. They should also provide unlock.
But I have no idea if it will work or not, so do it on your own risk. Root shouldnt be needed.
Also dont forget to enable "OEM unlock" and USB Debugging.
But really at your own risk.

Thanks for the replies guys, but I ended up purchasing an IMEI unlock code for $29 and that did the trick.
Got it from "Unlock Base"... great service and fast delivery in case anyone else is interested!
Good luck to everyone else with this problem!
I've found that "speedhack" apps like "Xmodgames" and "Oozhushou" don't work on my rooted SG5 Neo. Does anyone know how to fix this? I can't find any solution and I barely have any programming knowledge.
Does anyone know if this works on a Canadian SM-G903W (G903WVLU1AOJ9) with Android 5.1.1 ?
Thanks!

My Samsung Galaxy S3 Hard-bricked.

Hello everyone. I just got this samsung galaxy s3 verizon and I was looking to unlock the bootloader and install CM rom. I saw a the thread about Casual tool and I used. My phone is on 4.1.2 and Baseband of I9300XXBMF1. I followed the instructions exacrky as stated on the thread. I installed root, insecure bootlaoder and CWM in that order. After installling CMW, the phone asked to restart and I clicked continue. It went off and has not powered on since then. Please is there anything I can do?
My phone details
Baseband: I9300XXBMF1
BuildNumber: JZO54K.19300XXBMF1
AP: I9300XXBMF1
CP: I9300XXBMF1
CSC:I9300XXBMF1
Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks
Maybe someone can chime in, but I think you borked partitions. Is this the international edition? I assume you can use
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2581166
BUT IF U HAVE INTL EDITION YOU NEED a international debrick image or a full odin restore file. By full I mean when looking inside w/ 7zip you will see sbl1, 2. The bootchain is what you need. You can download multiple versions and look inside them. I had a similar incident years ago, and back then no debrick images. All the info is scattered about the forum. I got a 16gb spare card & dd (careful Its oftentimes called disk destroyer) image to card, then put into phone, turned on & booted. Once it works hold buttons for dl mode & reflash. There is a better guide elsewhere possibly ATT section, that link was the first.
#2 If you can still reach download mode? You may be able to odin back with a .pit file & correct image. checking repartition & load image & pit.

I used the Casual app to do everything and it got bricked. I followed the instruction on another thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2581166 about unbricking using a sd card and my phone only responded to the 4.4.2. I flashed the 4.4.2 stock rom and it is now working, though I am now stuck with a locked bootloader. Thanks for the response, I was beginning to think no one would respond.
The phone is working well now, but it is not responding to test codes like *#06# (for IMEI) or even *#*#1234#*#*. Do you have any idea on what might be wrong?
Thanks

[Completed] Help changing ROM on Samsung Note 3 SM-N900V from Verizon

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900V from Verizon and I have been trying to change it to the DarkLord ROM that is a Modded Mix between Note 7 & Edge ROM.
I at first had problems rooting the phone with Odin (it always failed) so I search and search and found a tool called ArabicTool which took care of it and finally I rooted my phone, after that I tried adding TWRP so I could change the ROM but every time I added the recovery tool I got the message saying that the “System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless has been found on your phone” and then had to do an emergency restoration using Kies3 and the cycle began again with other methods but always the same result.
I would like to know if anyone has a way to change the ROM on a SM-N900V from Verizon, I have seem some guides that claim the process works with the SM-N900V but every time I try to do them I get the message of software not authorized when I install the recovery app TWRP and then I have to do an emergency restore in Kies3.
Please help anyone it would be really appreciated.
