Wall Charger & Case Recommendation? - Galaxy S 4 Accessories

So guys, I need a new s4 wall charger because the previous owner lost it... and I was hoping to buy a slim but functional s4 case.
Before I get flamed....Yes, I searched the forum. All I got was, there are a lot of FAKE oem chargers out there.
I want to get a 2 Amp charger with a quality usb cable that does 1900mA charging for the S4 (that is stock charging right)?
Would I be better off just buying the Amazon Basic 2 amp charger & USB for $15 or is there better/cheaper alternatives out there?
As far as cases goes, I know it is all personal preference but I was hoping you guys could recommend a slim case (love the no case feeling). I have my eyes on the Spigen Ultra Thin Air... Is there anything better?
Thanks in advance Guys!

Some good info here:

My thread here may be of assistance.

I would say the UAG case rates up there with the slimmest of cases without sacrificing protection.

Asked about cases too

Ah, you edited your post a second before I quoted you. For clarification,
just so others know why I quoted your post, your original comment was:

if you're interested in cases like the spigen ultra thin air, i would highly recommend the elago slim fit case g7. it feels better in the hand and the cuts feel better. (i have the rearth ringke slim, spigen ultra thin air, spigen ultra fit, and the elago.) there are a lot of slimmer cases available, like a 3mm case, but the majority of them have cuts that make it hard to press the power button and the volume buttons (my guess is because they're working with such thin material, they can't afford to make the cuts any bigger).
i hope that helps.

Thinnest case?

Put Ghost Armor Matte on my Skyrocket but am getting annoyed with how parts of it peel. Used to throw Best Skins Ever on every device without issue. Any suggestions on the best thinnest case vs. protective skins?
The Cellaris case here seems interesting for it's aluminum cover: https://www.cellairis.com/product/cellairis-fender-case-for-samsung-galaxy-s-ii-skyrocket-i727-black
So does this cheap TPU case: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1678753
Thinnest case probably is the Rearth Ringke.

I have a generic TPU case (no idea what brand) and by my ruler/eye it is 12mm, so the one linked above is only .5mm thinner. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't notice the difference.

I have the BodyGlove case. It's hard rubber, nice grip and adds protection to the screen because it overlaps the front of the phone. It works well because I've dropped it on my concrete patio out back and the phone was unscathed. The best feature was the $10 price tag at WalMart. Looks similar to the Rearth Ringke and the Diztonic TPU. Great purchase.
I have found the Seidio Surface line to be the thinnest and offer the best protection. Excellent product, have had this model on my last three devices.
This case is hard shell with thin padding on the inside you protect the finish of your phone. And it has a matte finish that gives your Skyrocket a much better surface to hold on to that the slick stock finish.
You can find the case alone for around 25 bucks, or with the belt clip holster as a combo for 30 - 35 if you Google in the right places.

The Surface case is very thin. Here's a video review I located.
Excellent case IMHO.
And here's a link to Amazon with a pretty good price on the case and holster combo -> http://www.amazon.com/Seidio-BD2-HR3SSSKY-BK-SURFACE-Holster-Skyrocket/dp/B006NYOW8S/ref=pd_sim_cps_6

Jus' sayin', y'know, if blue's your thing...
Thanks guys. Think I am sold on the Seidio given the 1mm thickness and past use of their stuff. Have the TPU case from here on order but might just get both and compare.

I'm tempted to get the blue Seidio considering how little it costs, but the wife might just kill me if I have another case delivered right after getting my new Diztronic TPU (which replaced that black case after I destroyed it, which replaced the Diztronic TPU she now has, which replaced a series of Dragoncell hybrid cases, which replaced an Otterbox, etc...I have case ADHD).
If it helps domestic peace any it seems the Platinum case / rebranded Seidio Surface + Holster can be had on eBay from US sellers for around $10 Although reading some threads it seems it only comes in black.
I think I'm going to get one of these although I am seeing some posts saying that the bottom can be a little loose for some. Hoping it's the exact same build quality as the Seidio branded version.

Incipio DualPro Versus Spigen Slim Armor

I'm looking at 2 different cases.
1st option - http://www.amazon.com/Incipio-DualP...sim_cps_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=0M3010SWQ9QEC98D0Q9E
I currently have used had Incipio's dualpro style on my Nexus, and I really like it. It provides decent grip without being so sticky, I can't get it out of my pocket. The corners are tough too - I've dropped it and taken a nick out of the corner with no damage to the phone. My only problem is that there has been a review where someone has mentioned excess plastic around the headphone hole - that will probably make it difficult with large plastic headphone jacks.
2nd option - http://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Case-Spigen-Slim-Armor/dp/B00I3UWGJW
It's really my only drawback to going with it over the Spigen (which I love the look of much better). I like the Spigen that it matches the feel of the naked phone, but the hard plastic just doesn't make it up around the corners, and I'm not sure how much I like the idea of the just the rubber (even with the shockproof air cushion) being the only thing that provides support to a corner drop.
WHAT I NEED FROM YOU...
I can't find a picture of the top of the Incipio case showing the headphone jack. If you've seen one, or have one of these cases and the headphone jack is adequate, could you reply. I've even thought about rounding the hole out when I get it (assuming I thought I could do it without it being too jacked up looking). Also, please let me know what you think about either case.
Thanks in advance.
I have both.
The Incipio case is thicker and would be more equivalent to the Spigen Tough Armor, not the Slim Armor.

On the Incipio DualPro, is the headphone jack restrictive? It appears to have a much smaller hole, and a review on amazon said that you may have trouble with larger auxiliary cables?
Thanks again!
Define "restrictive"
The hole itself is pretty big, but it's a decent size, but it's a think case.

Thanks, man. I found this video after I asked. I ended up going with incipio, and we'll just hope it's port lets all headphone cables fit in. I'll post back in case others ate comparing these two.
Another reason why I went with the incipio is the coloring. The white which I love of the spigen, I feel will really show dirt. I need something that will look good later on. As much as I love the spigen, I opted for something I already had (dual pro on the nexus) and new was pretty tough.
Thanks, guys.

I've had both. With the incipio case I did have a few issues with headphones, but not many. Same with my slim armor. I do prefer the slim armor, because the TPU doesn't stretch out as much as the rubber with the Incipio case when the case is repeatedly removed. Also, the white Slim Armor case does not stain and turn yellow like the whit Incipio case did, which btw I couldn't get clean with anything; magic erasers, bleach, wood alcohol, regular alcohol, windex. Nothing worked. And then I got a red one and the coating pealed off. So there was that. But supposedly the incipio case fits with the wireless charging back, where the slim armor does not. Hope this helped.

[Q] Poetic Slimline or Moko Ultra Slim?

I've looked at many cases and I've narrowed it down to these two:
http://www.amazon.ca/Nexus-Case-Slimline-Synthetic-Manufacturer/dp/B00O3JA8AQ
http://www.amazon.ca/Google-Nexus-Case-Lightweight-Smart-shell/dp/B00J2QUWTW
Has anyone had hands-on experience with either of these, and can you please tell me your thoughts on them? I've heard good things about the Poetic cover and in Droid-Life's Nexus 7 2013 comparison of the two, the Moko case seemed to not keep shut as well, and the three folds wouldn't magnetically snap into a stand properly. The Poetic case seems better in that regard. However, the Moko case for the Nexus 9 seems to be much revised in design, so I'm wondering if it's much better now. Also, in the pictures the sides look shiny. Are they metal? Or just really shiny plastic? How do they both feel? Hopefully not too plasticky and cheap. About the price, why is the Moko case's original cost so much higher? Is it really worth that much/that much better? Looks almost identical to me.
My main concern is actually just something to cover up the back so the camera won't get scratched. Much like the Nexus 5, these cameras that stick out frustrate me to no end. I don't care at all for drop protection, corners, sides, etc. Overall, all I want is something that can cover front and back (and does it well! so front must stay shut), be as thin as possible, and feels good.
moko ultra slim
The moko ultra slim is too tight and excacerbates light bleeding ( my N9 is not bad in that respect), and since it is hard plastic it can warp the tab and make the issue permanent.Going to try the moko folio next which is leatherette and from past experience stretches to fit the tab just right.
I have the Moko slim one and its pretty nice.
Looking at the Poetic one, it looks like a clone or carbon copy of the Moko one I have. The only difference I can tell is that the cutouts are a bit different.
On the Poetic one, the cutout on the bottom for the MicroUSB are much wider than they need to be, and on the volume/on/off cutout, the angle of the cutout are more right-angeled compared to the the curved cutout on the Moko

How does the moko one feel? Does it feel "premium"? Does the cover stay in place when shut, and does the stand snap into place? Also, do you feel it's too tight and causing light bleeding or warping the tablet like the other guy? Thanks!

It feels pretty good and feels fairly premium but that'll be very subjective. I will tell you that it feels no less premium than holding the tablet bare with no case.
The cover has no issue staying closed if you flip the tablet upside down, but it will open if you give it a shake while you're only hanging onto the backside, but I don't expect this to be an issue under normal use.
When you fold the cover into the triangle position as a stand it stays put pretty well. The magnet in the flap actually magnetically links itself to the other end of the case when in the triangle position so it feels pretty secure.
It doesn't cause any more backlight bleeding compared to without it. The case is pretty tight though when trying to take it out. If you're not careful, it could separate one of the corners of your tablet. This is what happend to me the first time i took it out, but the corner snapped back into place without any issues.

All the slim cases poetic, moko etc. are exactly the same in terms of design so I doubt one brand is better than other apart from a unit variation in which one case may be less tight than the other. I think given the exact match between then different brands IVSO, poetic and moko they are all made by the same factory in china with different shops' labels to sell on ebay and amazon. Just my $0.02, I would rather get something bulky than risk damage to the tablet.

This is the case with many slim hard plastic cases for phones/tablets including slim cases from big name brands like Spigen and rearth, not just from cheapo brands like poetic, moko, and IVSO.
Partly to blame though is the design of the Nexus 5 and 9 design which has sides that concave outwards which makes it more difficult to remove the case. I had a Rearth slim case for my Nexus 5 that was even harder to take out and separated a corner of my cover as well.
I have the poetic and ivso ones. They are different in subtle but important ways. Poetic is better since the magnets are not exposed in the sides of the case. In the past when exposed the magnets would pull out of the sockets they were glued into. Poetic will not do this.

If the Poetic is anything like the Moko case, which I expect it is, then the magnets on the cover are attracted to the magnets built into the Nexus 9.
I have always thought that it was pretty redundant then that the IVSO has the magnets on the case. However after thinking about it, I can see a benefit of having the magnets on the case itself: It would probably reduce how much the cover shifts around when in the closed position and it probably has a more secure closure. Just a guess.

Do you feel the poetic cover is too tight, like people have said about the Moko one? And what about the IVSO one? I'm not too sure about IVSO (never heard the brand before) but the Amazon reviews seem to be good. Also is the metal thing on the cover any risk to the display? I feel that if I close the lid just slightly off it's going to smash into the display.
Both poetic and ivso are tight but that more likely due to the design of the nexus and its back, which extends slightly past the front. Just have to be very careful removing the case so it doesn't snap the back plate off. I don't like the metallic tab on the ivso... Feel like it could rub and scratch the screen. This is one of the reasons I prefer poetic.
The poetic is nice. I finally got it and it comes on and off pretty easily. Not as easy as the n7, but not bad.

I'm actually going to keep both. I really like the way each one feels and could see one used more over another at different times.
The Slim Armor feels great (very sleek) while offering good protection.
The Tough Armor feels a little more beefy, but still great.

One problem i found with Spigen is that it is easily scratched. I understand that it is cheap but still, ugh!
I have the tough armor, but what I don't like is the 2 sharp rectangular sides instead of smooth curved sides! I prefer Neo hybrid!
I came here searching the difference for both cases ? Someone said tough armour is beefy. So protection will be more right
I just checked at Spigen site and they say Tough armour case has EXTRA air cushion technology for all sides against the slim armour case which get at sides only. I guess tough armour case is more protective than just beefy

@blackout720 @h20wakebum I'm going to buy one of these soon, just a question, Do these cases make power and volume buttons hard to press or they are tactile?

The tough armor makes it hard to press. The slim has much softer rubber so it's much easier to press (and you feel the click while on the tough armor it's like pressing rubber).

slimmest case

Whats the slimmest case you guys have came across...all I basically want is scratch protection.
I dont like cases, but always try to find the slimmest one possible...for instance, totalle makes a case for the iphone called the scarf thats paper thin.
any comments will be appreciated.
thanks
I bought the adopted one and awaiting the spigen case for the 6P. I think if you want thin, the Google case/Adopted case will probably work best for you. It is really thin and makes the case more grippy although I have heard that some cases may block the laser autofocus on the camera. Ringke also offers a very thin case but I've only had it for my Xperia. If you are patient, wait a month and there should be some more detailed reviews on the cases. If not, out of the available cases, the Google ones seem to be the most popular thin cases. Wish you the best in your search.
Get a skin. Slickwraps has them for $10 and you can use "xda" for a discount code.

I too bought the Adopted case from google but it is not a slim case. it adds bulk so i'm looking for a new slim case. Thinking of getting one of these

http://www.amazon.com/DGtle-Anti-Sc...&qid=1447104935&sr=1-2&keywords=nexus+6p+slim
Try J&D tpu case from Amazon. I got it and its much thinner than I expected.
Can anybody comment on the J&D case vs Diztronic, Tudia, DGtle? If J&D truly is thinner than those, then I'll grab one as well.
Another slim one is the Tudia case on Amazon.
Im also looking for a super slim case. Something like an Orzly FlexiSlim (I hope they make it for the 6p, they did one for the 2014 Nexus 6) or a Caufabe Veil XT. Something .0.3mm or 0.5mm thin with a soft semitransparent finish. Has anyone found anything?
If you're going with the skin option, definitely go with dbrand, way better quality.

Agreed there on skins. If I go skin, I *always* go dbrand.
If you want something more than traditional TPU then the Verus case is a good option. It's the thinnest non-TPU case I've ever had for a phone (well, aside from the super thin hard plastic that always cracks after 3 weeks).
I went with this slim case from Kugi: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014ZJ0538
Thin enough for my liking (doesnt really add too much more to the phone), there are cutaways for the buttons (no actual rubber material on the buttons like the adopted case), and the top and bottom of the case are left open so you dont have to worry about a charger or headphone adapter being too big. And it's cheap.

I ordered that one also. Should get here in a here days. I had it for my Galaxy s6 and my HTC One M8 and they were lovely. Very little bulk, excellent grip, and enough protection for my purposes.

I ordered and received one of these in gold. It does have a soft touch finish, but at the same time seems to show fingerprint smudges. It is pretty thin, although not as thin as the 0.01 inch or 0.35 mm type cases that are available for other phones. The overall finish/quality of is also somewhat cheap with the cutout for the camera assembly showing leftover plastic. It'll do for now.
You could go with a dBrand skin, or a Spigen Thin Fit or the IMAK case. Those look like the thinnest cases for the 6P so far.

Ah yeah, looks like you may have got a little unlucky with that cutout. I just double checked my cutouts and edges and can say mine look pretty clean cut. I do agree with the fingerprint smudges too, but oil on a matte finish (I went with matte black) is a bit expected so I cant complain too much about that.

Its available. I have had it on my 6p from day one. Not a bad case, and it was only $4.99 for early orders.

Any tried the Adopted vs DGtle? DGtle looks thinner, but curious before I commit to buying it

That's the Flexicase, not the Flexislim (yeah, I know!) - it's quite a bit thicker.

Oh really? I had no idea.
This case is very slim, I cant imagine it could get much thinner.
MoKo case is pretty thin. MUCH thinner than the Verus.
