-70mb less than stock
-Nothing Special since its stock
Stock rom was requested by few people so i made it for you bcz Huawei was being lazy as f***, anyways hope you like.
This Rom is NOT rooted, to root use my Fastroot for Mercury.
(May delete widgets so add if youd like)
Instructions
1.Make Backup of your rom
2.Download the rom from the link below

4.Reboot and your good to go.

1.Install Apn backup restore from here:

2.Download this original cricket.xml
(Right-click the link, save as)

3.Edit the xml file with notepad and change "XXXXXXXXX"
to your number.
4.create "ApnBackupRestore" folder in your sdcard
5.place the original cricket.xml in that folder
6.Using the app you installed, restore cricket original.xml

This rom is for the Huawei Mercury (glory) m886. It won't work for the u8500.

This sounds pretty good, at least untill there is a working ICS.
One question, what was removed? Because I don't know where I'd be without the Asphalt5 and Let's Golf demos... lol

Help please, My phone is completely bricked!!! There has to be some way to fix!
My Huawei Mercuric is completely bricked depending on which way you turn on, get's the pure blue screen, but if you hold vol +/- as well as power than you get the pure pink screen. Please, someone help, i can't find anything on any website with original stock Rom.
And then when i try to put some things onto the sd card to transfer over to the phone it keeps saying i don't have enough room and is coming up as 239 mg and then say's maximum capacity 239. I don't know what to do please help, need my phone and can't afford to buy another.

Well ,i create that new tread because of that specific device HUAWEI U8951-0100.
Unlucky other that device they left it to die(...) EXCEPT DEVELOPERS around the world.
Please i don't want donate , exept if you find somthing really helpfull.
As i know there is mainly SEVERAL types of that model:
U8951-010,U8951-0100, AND U8951-0200 e.t.c

So is this just a official eng rom for the G510-0100 or is it a custom rom? how do i install it ? from dload folder o sd or can i use CWM?
If it is a stock rom will or is there any custom rom or is there going to be a Cyanogen port for the G510-0100?

Is a custom ROM.I installed via twrp version 2.5 or ,2.6( first post).
There is weekly updates for that ROM (china web) but I must do some modifications to Google installer for compatibility.
I will upload only critical rom updates(slow upload limited).
-THERE IS NO OFFICIAL UPDATE FOR THAT SPECIFIC MODEL...AND PROBABLY WILL NOT....FOR UNKNOWN REASONS...

You need a good file explorer (I use rootexplorer)
Aprox 10 minutes of time.
-extract zip to sdcard
-TURN OFF WIFI
-open root explorer go to /data/misc/
AND DELETE WIFI FOLDER
1 . FROM EXTRACTED FOLDER
COPY /LIB folder copy /paste all (4) files to -- /system/lib/ (and replace existing)
THEN GIVE THEM (4) , PERMISSION RW-R-R each (FROM EXPLORER SELECT PERMISSIONS)
2 .GO TO SYSTEM FOLDER: /SYSTEM/WIFI/ ON YOUR SYSTEM PARTITION AND DELETE ALL FILES/FOLDERS
3 .GO AGAIN TO zip EXTRACTED FOLDER and COPY/PASTE ALL STUFF FROM /WIFI FOLDER To -- /SYSTEM/WIFI/
FINALLY GIVE TO ALL FILES RW-R-R PERMISSION ON /SYSTEM.WIFI/ AND FOR FOLDERS(2) RWXR-XR-X

Instractions.
1.download this zip http://www.4shared.com/rar/4NugfNw4/2X_WIFI.html
2. unzip on your pc and move it to your sdcard.
3.from unzipped folder install PimpMyRom-alpha-3.3.1.apk
4.run it and go to tools / universal init.d support and just ACTVIVATE it. and then close program.
5.take second file 99SuperCharger and copy/paste on /system/etc/init.d folder (by rootexplorer)
6 reboot

This is a Leawa ROm from a China boy.Is from 23/7/13 Lewa update for g510-010 but works also for g510-0100.

In my opinion those roms have a lot of applications mated for China.That STUFF makes rom HAVY.

Well its not strange.Actually incompatibility exist on HUAWEI stock roms.
Now about custom rom it depends. Various custom rom can be compatible with ALL g510 (all versions).Frequently ,
boot.img causes problems (bootloops) or malfunction as (no network reception) because of wrong baseband.
All those problems can be solving but we must wait a lite bit.Now its very risky to change par-example radine wrong step
and mobile Hard/brick. Most important is unblocking FLASH DRIVE.Afterwords all it will be safer.
At list (but not last) a interesting OVERCLOCK.

I made a back up of my factory stock rooted b189 g510-0200 rom with twrp . if anyone needs it i can send them a link to my dropbox. its a very nice rom but you cant download it from anywhere cause huawei only have the old rom b173 on there web site. . this is the latest rom with huawei notification toggles enabled. if you have twrp you can just copy my back up to your sd card then restore with twrp. :good:

[...] All people that working on android devices spend all lot of time.I say that because a notice that there is some archive roms for g510-0100 (b196) etc.,THE IMPORTANT THING IN A F I R M W A R E U P D A T E is that upgrade or resolve critical low level routines(software- hardware configuration).
All the rest (system softawere) kernel e.t.c is match more easier to find solutions.
UNFORTUNATELY THE PROBLEM IS THAT WITH THOSE FLASH ROMS DOESN'T DO ANYTHING ON THAT DIRECTION.(this include ALL zip stuff (lewa).
There is a possibility to have (until December) a new JB 4.2.2 Official HUAWEI firmware up-grate.(WILL SEE).

G510 problem - screen turns off in call
Hello dear friends,
My new G510 has a problem,
My screen turns off while receiving calls or calling someone,
and I can't turn it back on, not with the touch screen nor power/volume keys.
I tried to change to CM10.2 - but no dual sim support, so I went back to stock rom.

I started with FoxtrotKZ's ROM
I found that "su" didn't work and the Busybox install said there was a problem opening a shell with root access.
I re-rooted it. (it works now)

I removed boot animation/audio and shutdown.
I resisted the urge to remove more, but my objective was just to rework it as a test ROM for myself.

Your welcome. I found a little oddness with the root, I just switched back from chainfire SuperSU to chainsdd Superuser. I'll get the new SRS uploaded today. (UPDATE: new one is uploaded a few hours ago)

For -H, I will be releasing a rooted one probably tonight. Bare in mind though, this is from a single SIM model. I wouldn't mind purchasing a dual SIM so I had all variants to test on.
I could release an updater that would allow you to reinstall the recovery to CWM5 or CWM6.

Thanks. Hum, I wonder what is going on. My single SIM -H works "ok" with the dual SIM -H ROMs. I can see MEID etc.. it just shows the second SIM as MEID 000000 or unknown.
It'd be nice to get my hands on a couple of the SPFT dumps of stock roms for -H variants. Or purchase a dual -H tablets even.

That would be great if You could make it work on dual sim. Rom is faster and more responsive than 4.03.
In dual sim all the sim options are inactive and there is no cell networks.

Thanks for the confirmation on it 4.0.4 being snappier, very good to know. Apparently AT&T was able to have Lenovo develop longer than they would have normally and got 4.0.4 stock.
In general to all readers....
So here is what I've found:
The LeWa ROM claims to be 4.0.4 also. It is the only -H ROM I've seen out of about 10 I've archived that claims this, besides my AT&T ROM.
The LeWa ROM may have originated from the Lenovo A750 phone... as that shows as it's build:
ro.product.device=lenovo75_ics
A few reason that the AT&T ROM might serve as a better base for custom work:
1. It's for the hardware, no doubt. Need to figure out tweaks needed for 2 SIMS
2. It apparently uses a newer MTK frameworks: ro.mediatek.version.release=ALPS.ICS.MP.V2 instead of V1

LeWa is much slower than Your rom. I am on foxtrot now that seems little faster than LeWa.

Is this rom will change my original wireless address and my IMEI for the Duel SIM , I mean is this rom will change the original nvram folder , or it will keep it as it is .
And please for the stock roms without root , I found that the link to A2107A-F is the same as A2107A-H , it means that there is no right link to A2107A-H
I hope that I get an answer from you before I make any crazy modification .

Oops on the mixup of links. I'll fix, sorry.
It shouldn't change anything in the nvram. NVRAM is somehow magically mounted, it's actually it's own filesystem in a partition block on the flash. So when my -H ROM installs it -- it ONLY writes to the BOOT and SYSTEM/ANDROID partition blocks -- no others. If I were you, I'd still have a backup of your NVRAM directory or partition block (.img).
About root vs no root, I think you noticed I removed the root files from the -H image -- it should be truly stock now. I'm pretty sure I was careful enough that no one would ever notice it was ever rooted.

and one other thing : you told me that to keep partition block (.img) , what is that partition , and is that mean that there is a way to fix nvram fixed fix or you mean that this fix will be a temperory fix .
please excuse my english because i am egyption , and forgive me for all this questions , but i want to understand every thing before taking my decision .

Your English is certainly good enough.
What I meant: Your /data/nvram is really just it's own file system on a partition block on flash. You can copy the files form /data/nvram, but also you can make an image backup of the partition block of flash. Either way should work fine, the partition block image is a bit more "absolute" and it could be restored easily with SP Flash Tool.

Flashing this rom do not change mac, imei etc. WiFi works fine but still no 3g for dual sim
Can You add more languages to this rom? I would like to have polish language and working 3g .

Really , many many thanks for you , i got your point now about taking a copy of my NVRAM folder for safety Purpose only , but final question : could you please tell me how to make an image backup of this partition to be flashed later by SP flash tool .
i know that my questions too much , but i believe that you are the best one to answer me.

Last night I wasn't successful at much.
I tried throwing FM on the AT&T ROM... App and drivers. Didn't work.
Then I tried putting the AT&T ROM on the -F but with boot.img tweaks so it would find the system partition. Didn't work.
I guess I need to scale back a little to have some success.

Here is a short review first
| HARDWARE |:-: Talking about the Lava Xtron+’s hardware, the tablet boasts a dual core Cortex A9 CPU with each core clocked at 1.5Ghz and a Mali 400 Quad Core GPU.
Well, for the proof of graphics power, see the benchmarks by fonearena.com ,63.9 fps in nenamark, and the most important thing according to me, RK3066 IS THE BEST LAST GEN GAMING CHIPSET BETTER THAN TEGRA 3...I am a true geek and after searching for 20+ hours came to a conclusion that this is the best piece of android till 12-13k,(except Lumia 520 but it is windows)..
| BATTERY | :-:Coming on to battery, When I opened the battery stats page I find that Cell standby had consumed nearly 60% of the battery.WHAT!? Cell standby is the battery used by radio cells for mobile networks. This tablet DOES NOT have cell radio! The engineers working on this tablet didn't even bother to setup the OS properly and instead chose to simply download Android 4.2, flashed it in the tablet and have put it up on sale.
The Flipkart page reports the battery capacity to be 3,700mAh, which is probably wrong since the official specifications page on Lava’s website reports it to be only 3,000mAh. I can't be sure..:silly:

Before starting i would say that i am not responsible if any guides here bricks your device ( it should not happen at all if u follow all steps properly as the chances of permanent brick of rk3066 is very slim but boot loop is a possibility) I made this thread to collect everything I've done in one place. This should make everything very straightforward and basically most probably n00b-proof.
| ROOTING | :-:
Pre Requisites-Working drivers (if not then no problem), OEM USB Cable, LAVA ETAB XTRON+, 2 windows apps and PATIENCE
{Screen shots of important steps is in the attachements}
(i) For Drivers download and install moborobo

(ii) In tablet go to in Settings >developers options and turn it on and enable USB Debugging & before connecting it to your PC go into the tab's
settings again and click on storage.In it you will find 3 dots in top right hand corner.> USB computer connection >Enable Mass storage
Note: DO "NOT" TURN USB STORAGE "ON".(When Connected to PC)
Note: Remove your external SD card before rooting.
(iii) Connect it to your PC and click on refresh and install/find drivers and it will download and install them..(there might be a security warning
about force install) Now, it may not recognize the model no, IMEI and other things and say that the device is JB7+ but the only thing you
should look for to make sure it is the right device is the total size and usage of internal Memory and NAND Flash..
(iii) Now drivers are securely installed and the tab is connected in the right way (there is no OEM (LAVA) drivers anywhere)
Download the zdm (Chinese software) in the attachments (For Every Step first see the screenshot)
Note:IT MAY INSTALL SOME USELESS SOFTWARE ON UR PC AND TAB , BUT IT CAN BE UNINSTALLED.
(iii)) When it detects the there will be something written like this in the bottom right corner :??ROOT : ONE or something like that (not in screen
shots as the tab is already rooted ) but it must be in green colour.This is the confirmation that the device can be rooted.
(iv) Now click on the Root Button in left hand side
(v) Click twice on green (thingy) first where it says ROOT then again for the confirmation popup (says something else but in green box)
(vi) Rooting Process has begun and the tab will restart (my PC is quite fast so it was almost instantly restarted and the Super SU was flashed it may or may not take 2-3 mins)
Note:IT WILL INSTALL SUPERUSER , WHICH IS OUTDATED BUT BEFORE DOWNLOADING OTHER SUPERUSER APP , USE THE ONE PRE-INSTALLED TO UPDATE SU BINARY.

How to fix battery:-:
Get root explorer open system/app and rename phone .apk and telephonesomething.apk to phone.bak and telephonysomething.bak, you are good to go..
Also, you should change the WiFi scanning interval to 500 I.e 5 min as you really just require one scan when connecting to a known network..change the wifi supplicant scan interval to 500 build.prop

There are 2 methods one is tested by me(both are the same recovery created by the famous user "fun" at androtab.info), it works on our tab because when I opened the kernel.img with a hex editor (like Neo Hex Editor) the first line started with "KRNL" so I have a dedicated kernel in the kernel partition and I can just use the generic CWM. You can also follow this procedure just to be sure..make a online nandroid backup find kernel.img and open it up in pc in hex editor..
(A)METHOD TESTED BY ME
(i) Firstly you have to get the arctools apk,either by registering at their forum..

(iii) Select Reboot to recovery or Turn the tab off and press power button+vol up and the recovery should open
YEAH! YOU NOW HAVE COMPLETE CONTROL OF YOUR TAB

Can somebody tell me if ext4 is supported or not, when i try link2 sd it says not supported but I am pretty sure that the system partition itself is Ext 4, (I'm the one who made the guide)

Well, I have tried it there are some problem in link2sd, but according to an nandroid the system and data are ext4 , I have set up everything in ext2 and would hate to do it all over again, is there a way to verify support of ext 3 or 4 acc to wiki, kernel above 2.6 support ext4 and the kernel here is 3.0... One more ting, when I tilt the tab, I think that something heavy is moving around inside slightly, probably battery should I ask for a replacement? I have 4-5 days remaining I bought from flipkart, I do have a complete SD and nandroid backup..
EDIT: in d/tracing events ext4 there is a file called enable and the value inside is zero should I change it to 1
I think I found out the culprit, the first partiton that I tried was ext2 so link2d created a script for that..now, when I try to use ext3 or 4 ..it still tries to use that same script..so I willl delete the script then try again...

Successfully Rooted..! Sorry for the delay..!

Alright I know this is a stupid question but..Does it continue to scan when it is connected to a WiFi network..I have also disabled the network norification and enable WiFi optimization...and thanks for the tip..ideally you should only turn scanning on when you want to connect

bro i have installed riley rom for lava xtron + tab but now i came to know that wi fi hotspot is a major bug for this rom and the rom is actually the copy of stock rom so i want to flash the stock rom again but cant ,,, so plz help me i have the stock rom zip file , now what to do ?/

Well you are familiar with cwm or do you even have it installed, if you do then just go to install zip from sd card and select the zip file...secondly if you have a cwm nandroid backup (recommended) just go to backup and restore select resotre or restore from externel sd and then select the date of the required backup file then click restore..If you do have a cwm nandroid backup then it MUST work...if you don't even have the recovery then, ist step is to install it through THE guide then, try to do the ist (not recommended) option...

My device is working properly without any problem so far, some times bugs only be noticed with use and i will update this post with the ROM fixed.
Install it by your own free will, I am not responsible for any damage that may appear in the device.
This is a European ROM but, like the default one, there are same country restrictions in providers that may affect the 4G reception, etc, etc.
If you want to install, you can try to unlock these restrictions since the ROM has root.

This ROM was edited to vodafone pt but can be changed to your provider.
When you flash it, if you are not from Portuguese Vodafone it will show a bootanimation that say " Change Cust after settings than do a factory reset ".
This is how to fix it with Root Browser, that you can find in ROM, go to folder /DATA and seek the custom.bin file, open it as a text file, you will see something such as example zt/rt, now we left the folder /DATA and go to the folder /CUST , we open it and we will find a folder with the name vodafone, we will change the name of it to the first name that we saw in custom.bin in our example will is zt, use small font, now we entered the zt folder and we will find another folder that his name is pt, let's switch to the second name of our exemple which will be rt, use small font!
Go back and exit the app, do a factory reset. Done!

This "MAYBE" works in same L22, L33 but not dual SIM. Only testing you can know it. The Only issue for sure that will be is the home key but can be fix it with a simple app from google play.
You can try to use this app with this ROM, for now, if you want it.
Notes:
Tap Tap App is to use light sensor to unlock the phone, open Tap Tap app, Install, go to setup sensor, select "Unlock when removing the cover", unselect "Tap Tap unlocks the screen" ( G6 don´t have this option in kernel).
Busybox, is a tool to install several Linux tools to use with Android, like cmd in Windows... if i can say like this... You can use them with terminal emulator.

Only couple glitches came out for me so far, can be my mistake tho, been a pain ita too root in the first place.
Homescreen organizing resets sometimes after closing an app,
There are some wifi networks i cant connect, although others working perfectly.

Latest update of this rom is really nice, and it fixed the annoying media player bug on G6-L11.

I am really interesting in changing the ROM of my G6-4G-L11. I began to see your video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMDnP1tBsJ4&feature=youtu.be (what a shame there is no more sound!) as some things to do is not so easy to understand for me...
I have read all the topic above and you tell " Always do backup from the ROM you have in your device". I have no root access but I will try to have it with Kingo Android, is it a good option? After that, I would use your G6knife tool. I would try to follow all the steps you describe to change the ROM but I am really afraid! In case of problem, is it possible to return to the origianl ROM?
