[Root+Recovery][Celkon A119]Signature HD Root+CWM recovery

Hey guys Here is the rooting process for the New celkon A119 HD (works perfectely with win7-32bit)(may work with 64 bit but not tested)
Install the drivers first
1) Download the below files
2) flash the recovery using sp flash tool(google for how to flash recovey using sp flashtool)
3) Now copy the su.zip in sd card
4) flash it in cwm recovery(press the power on by pressing the Vol + button and press Power. to boot in cwm)
5) congratulations your device should now be rooted

Here are the instructions...
Connect the phone using the USB cable and select MTP Device instead of USB Storage.
USB Debugging must be selected.
Then install the PdaNetA4126 setup file to install the drivers for the Phone.
Once installed, open the celkon one click rooter folder and run the RUN.BAT file..It will root the phone. That's it..
Follow the exact steps from this link..

Dude....thanks for helping....
but its done everything but its not showing "SU" app in app drawer ......
can u tell me how to root ...plz Dude.

download any one of the tools from above thread and open the script.
next connect the device and select root options.(remember you need have installed adb drivers.)(to install drivers download pda net and install it)
now select root option and dont disconnect the device until the rooting process in successful(try for both the tools given above)

You need to reboot if icon doesn't show up.

Hi, Any development on this ????????

until there are some members (atleast of around 5 i think its no use of developing a rom to the device...)

Celkon A119q Signature HD reboots randomly sometimes with 4.2.1. Any ideas?

It is working good. I have removed most of the factory stuff/apps. Battery life is good now.

Not sure about the CWM...I did not try that. But you could check for the steps in this post or Google it.
No custom roms for this phone..Not sure if any developer works on this phone..
I sold my Celkon A119Q Signature HD and brought Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 I9200 phone.
Successfully rooted it and has CWM on it now..

to flash cwm download this file

and now install mobile uncle tools from android market.
select install recovery and select the above recovery and press ok....done you have the cwm recovery....

Root Canvas 2 Plus A110Q V2 ROM 4.2.1

Steps to Root Canvas 2 Plus A110q V2 ROM:
Note: Rooting voids your warranty. So know the consequences before doing it.
Also if your phone gets damaged, I am not responsible for it.
You can find V1 or V2 by seeing your phone's "Custom Build Version" in Settings > About.
If it ends with "xx_MMX_12_flasher_user" then its V1 and if it is "xx_MMX_16_flasher_user" then it is V2.
Step 1 : You need to flash CWM recovery using SP-Flash Tools. First install drivers (USB Drivers MMX A110Q)
Step 2 : Download and Extract SP-Flash Tools
Step 3 : Download and Extract Scatter File and Preloader files
Step 4 : Download, Extract and Rename as recovery.img
Step 5 : Put Preloader, recovery.img and scatter file in one folder. Open Flash_tool.exe from SP_FLASH Tools
Step 6 : Select "Scatter-loading" and select "MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt" from created folder and Select "Download" option, it will search for phone now (note three files are selected that are in folder)
Step 7 : Switch OFF the phone. Connect it with USB (in OFF state only) (proper divers must be installed as said above)
Step 8 : If all goes well you'll see data transfer. At the end there will be Green Circle in middle of screen which means recovery is flashed.
Step 9 : Download SuperUser binaries and place zip file in root of your sdcard
Step 10 : Press Volume Up + Volume Down + Power button for some seconds and enter recovery mode
Step 11 : Select install zip from sdcard and select the downloaded file. Flash it.
Step 12 : Check if it is properly rooted with root checker app
*** You must backup in CWM after step 10. So your data remains safe.
Once it is rooted, remove bloat stock apps and free up some space. Then you can remove this root and re-root again with traditional method and/or you can also replace stock recovery if you dont need cwm.

There are several ways....i also have canvas 2 plus... The best is using 'Root master key.apk ' search it on google and u can root your phone in 1 min...although its in Chinese so if u face difficulty just message me..
2nd is using ' Framaroot' download it from XDA site its the simplest although it didn't work on mine...
Otherwise use ' Root Binary Restore.exe' file which runs on PC ...but u need to have your drivers installed on pc for this...

1. download framatoot apps latest vrsn will b hlpfull..
2. run it.
3. select install super su.
4. then select boromir/baramir.
5. then ok. nd reboot done.

dont use CWM... for XOLO 8X 1200use only root method, skip CWM steps

hi everyone
do you know if there is a way to set the duration of the backlight buttons (capacitive buttons) on the a290. the fact that it switches off before the screen or switches on only after touching it.. is driving me nuts.
Is there a tried and tested way using xposed/ gravity box etc?

Just download the app called Backlight Manager by this you can keep your backlight on as long as the screen is on. Sorry you cannot set a particular duration though.
Note: You may face one problem, once you switch on this app or restart your phone your screen lock may not work. To solve this you will have to set your screen lock to slide and set it back to your preferred screen lock (Pattern, Pin or Password)

Proper Root Micromax Unite 2 without PC

You need:
1. KingRoot.apk (Download)
2. Micromax Unite 2
Note: This is the proper root method for Micromax Unite 2. PC method and Without PC method both will install the same Kinguser (better than Supersu for Unite 2) app. It will not install any useless chinese app like Baidu or Root master(iRoot).
To root your phone follow these steps:
Step 1: Install KingRoot.
Step 2: Open KingRoot.
Step 3: Disable internet and tap the green circle.
Step 4: Tap the blue button.
Step 5: Restart phone.
Step 6: Uninstall Kingroot.
DONE.

not getting blue cirlce
Hi after installing the app i clicked on green circle but its not giving me any blue one. however its shows something written in chinese with a android sign with a tear falling from right eye. I am trying to root my unite 2 OS lollypop.

Tried with FF too. Resume also did not work. Can you upload it to a google pages page ? I have less then 10 posts so cant give the full link but its the same as the one on the first post

For Micromax A106 with Lollipop, the Kingroot version in OP was not working.
Tried from here and was able to root well.
