[Q] Going back to stock rom? (Canada 8010) - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I am looing for some help.
I installed the german Jellybean Rom, back when we were all waiting for jellybean to come out for our tablets. Now, I am having some slowness issues, and I notice I have region issues (e.g. samsung store complains ect). I wanted to go back to the stock Canadian rom and update that way. I downloaded one I found, (KIES_HOME_N8010XXUCMA5_N8010XACCMA2_805288_REV00_user_low_ship.tar) but when I use ODIN to flash it, it says "parameter incorrect".
Can anyone help? Thank you!

Guess I found my own answer.... googled a bit, and found someone telling me to delete the "md5" extension. That worked, its flashing now.

stuck in a rut

So I want to do the new sw update but can't because I deleted some stock apps so the checksum wouldn't match and a hard reset won't restore them I guess so I would flash a stock rom but am I right thinking there isn't one yet? So how can I get to an original rom and then update or maybe make the new update work?
D2G stock rom
I don't know if the update will be compatible or not but from my understanding this is pretty much the stock rom that Motorola handed Verizon to put all their bloatware on then release the phone. I did load this rom on my d2g and it works flawlessly. Might be worth a try, not a direct link but will get you headed in the right direction. The rom manager gives you the opportunity to load the barebones stock google rom or the Vanilla based version, it just downloads and flashes, works perfect I didn't even have to re-activate. It is already pre-rooted so maybe the update won't work but I just wanted to make you aware of it. I work at verizon and did the update to the floor model and my dad's stock d2g also and didn't notice any difference really. I think vzw is just fixing some of the bugs that they created anyway so having the stock rom may end up with the same result, a rom that functions perfectly, good luck!.......droidforums.net/forum/droid-x-roms/106629-rom-fission-2-4-droidx-vanilla-generic-android-aosp-like-fission-rom-manager.html
@evil yeah im kind of in the same boat, let me know if srensber solution works for you.
I froze a bunch of apps with Titanium Backup and renamed some stuff with Root Explorer. I recently just re-named everything i changed back to the factory stuff (bak -> apk) but it still doesnt seem to do any good.
I did create a number of back ups using Rom manager but i cant seem to find out where they are located and how to restore them. hmm. Not sure what to do.
Ah i realize what ive done wrong ... i didnt know you had to have bootstrap installed along with clockwork recoveryy in order to make a backup hmm. Going to need a rom of stock d2g lol.
clockwork recovery installs a boot hijack, which might be the culpirt

strange ns4g issues

I used odin when the 4.0.4 official leak was posted here. I since uses the one click software restore back to 2.3.4. At first it gave an issue with the radio. On my phone while restoring it said "radio fail" but the phone seems to be working.
Now I manually updated the unrooted Sprint official 4.0. And my phone since the very first thing I said, has been randomly rebooting, I tried a different battery and it does the same thing. It's also real laggy. Any advice? Are there stock 2.3.4(7) files I can odin? I want it completely factory. Or suggest the problem? Thank you.

[Q] i9000 will not root, only stock firmware boots

Hi there. I have read quite a few tutorials on rooting my phone. I did have it rooted at one point using odin and a package for cwm. It worked great. I wanted to try out one of the 4.* ICS roms, that worked fine.. sorted that out no problem but there was no gps so I wanted to go back to my rooted 2.3.6.
Went to put it back to standard with stock firmware, that also worked fine. The problem I have now is when I attempt to root using the same files, same settings and same utilities as before, It boots up to the samsung galaxy logo, then reboots and shows the logo again and again in an infinite loop.
I have cleared the user data and cache, and the root appears to work as the recovery program installs correctly, but it will not boot the OS.
When i flashed to stock I used odin.. the 512 pit file, the stock pda, phone and csc files. and that works perfectly but not when I root it!
Any ideas??
****UPDATE
I flashed with stock 2.3.5 firmware so that I could use samsung kies to flash my phone back to 2.3.6 so that it was 100% stock and kies now says that my device does not support firmware upgrades!!!
Seems as nobody can be arsed to answer my question I have researched and answered it myself...
If anybody has the same problem of Kies saying "Your device does not support firmware upgrades" all you have to do is go into the "About phone" section of the settings.. find the baseband version of your phone.. Mine was I9000XXJVT... find the lowest version of android on samfirmwares.com , mine was 2.3.4, install it..
then kies recognizes your phone again and will upgrade it to the latest version..
Oh by the way THANKS FOR YOUR HELP lol
This particular phone for record purposes upgraded to:
PDA:JW4 / PHONE:JW4 / CSC:JW5 (CPW) which im guessing is carphone warehouse..
I tried the samfirmware.com version of the latest CPW firmware they have and kies still said it would not update the firmware
and before all you geeks get on your high horse and say why didnt u do this and why didnt you do that..
I couldn't root my firmware after installing the CPW firmware as mentioned above from samfirmwares.com.. i was in an infinite reboot loop. I could load standard firmware from samfirmwares.com and it would boot fine, but I couldn't root it from that.
My aim was to get it back to standard and go from there.
One question.. pretty obvious really... I have searched high and low and still am yet unable to find a sofrware for BACKING UP my original firmware... this would be a pretty sensible idea??? yes???

For GT-N8013: what's the latest stock ROM? Where to find it?

I apologize for the noobish question, but I can't seem to find it.
I used to run a stock ROM ending in CMA3 and it was pretty awesome.
I wanted to try something different, so I flashed Hyperdrive. It was super-laggy in LectureNotes and I decided to try Revolution 9.0 (which uses CMF1 as its base). Something wasn't quite write and I couldn't put my finger on it until much later: there was just the tiniest touch of lag.
So now, I want to go back to a stock ROM. I could go back to CMA3, but I figure I should try the latest one first. Anyone know what the firmware number is and where I can download it?
I've searched extensively but I can't seem to figure it out. I found Darkman's thread with CMG2 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1909950), but it clearly states GT-N8000 and I don't know if "Multi-CSC" means it will work on my GT-N8013. As far as I can tell, I need to see a CSC with "XAR" in it, which Darkman's rom does not have.
TL;DR
Any help with finding the latest stock ROM for GT-N8013 would be appreciated.

[Q] 3g no longer working on my phone after flashing roms SCH-I500

So, after hours of looking for the stock rom for my Samsung galaxy S ( I don't know which one it is.. It just says samsung at the top and bottom) I found a gingerbread rom, and I flashed it to my phone via Odin. I reset the phone, and I no longer had my 3g, and my phone number says "Unknown". I installed Froyo 2.2.2 before this, and it was working perfectly, except that wasn't the stock that I was looking for, and so that was the reason I flashed the gingerbread ROM.. If anyone could help me, it'd be a big help.

aww Cmon.. :crying:
No one?
Probably something went wrong with the modem flash. The stock rom contained the modem for the rom itself? It happened to me on a galaxy ace. I flashed a 4.0.4 rom and then i lost the signal (only 3g/2g, not the wifi). Then I flashed a custom rom based on the original one and now everything works. Try to search the official rom for your device on sammobile.
:/
Well, I've spent days looking for the stock ROM :/ I couldn't find the one for mine..
You said install a custom ROM? won't that require a ROOT?
I can't find my model, "SCH-I500" on sammobile.

Ok, I installed http://www.mediafire.com/download/c7h1wl5wne51duf/ed05_radio.tar.md5.. so I'm able to send/recieve calls, but I still don't see "3g network" icon on the top of my phone, meaning that I don't have 3g..
anyone??
...
Rage..
Eh..
guys... Help me.
