First, what's the difference between the notta rom and the ayysir rom? Is one better than the other?
Also, what's the best kernel to use for PA on a d2vzw SGS3?
And lastly, which GAPPs are the best ones to use for either of these versions?
I hope someone is able to answer these questions for me. Thanks!

I am rooted and unlocked and was hoping someone could offer an opinion on which kernel would be best to run with stock JB rom. I would like the option to OC and as far as I can tell there are 2 main kernels; KToonsez and Leankernel. Are there any more? Either way, which would be most highly recommended? I realize what one thinks works best might not be the case for another, but I am open to suggestions. I also found the Siyah kernel but I think it only works on international versions.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
There is another TW JB kernel in the original development section here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2063058. There is also Faux kernel for TW JB here:http://faux.androidro.ms/d2tmo/beta/d2tmoatt-faux123-kernel-tw-015b03.zip. Here is the homepage for it: https://plus.google.com/u/0/109078966818501160423/posts/ahiHu35k2p5, and the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1785466. It is supposed to work fine on Verizon. I haven't used any of them to be able to offer any experiences.

There are no "best" roms, as each person's experience may differ.
That being said, the most stable JB rom is probably Andromadus CM10 which is what I'd advise.

This is a question we don't ask here, just to let you know that this thread will probably get locked. It will always come down to best rom for you. Only you can decide on that, try them, read the rom threads and make an informed decision for yourself

i use flinny cyanogen 10.1
JellyBean 4.2.2 the last one
blindndumb's AOKP with 4.2.2 is stable too as far as I can tell. It is best if you try them all out
I use Flinny AOSP 4.2 : stable, fast, no bug
Well I didn't want to make another useless thread.
It would be perfect if everybody posted his opinions on different jb ROMs that he tried and the pros and cons of that ROM.
Because its really not possible to read a thread with more than 100 pages to decide and trying all the ROMs is also hard.
BTW thanks guys. I went for andromadus and so far its good.

Moderator Update.
Best rom threads are not allowed on XDA. The reason behind this is each rom will work differently for each person. The best thing to do is to try them out for yourself and see which one you like! Happy flashing
I want to overclock my phone. I recently flashed cyanogenmod 10.1. what would be a good rom to install for overclocking. thanks (please provide links)

FYI there is no such thing as a good ROM for overclocking as it is the kernel not the ROM that does the overclocking. All the kernels are in the original android development section and are on the first page of that section.

I am running Liquidsmooth's RC1. They are releasing their update soon,
Does anyone have a favorite TW based ROM? I am looking for one based on 4.2. I also heard the international 4.2.1 has been leaded. Has anyone tried creating a ROM based on this release? The TW ROMs just look nices than the AOSP despite all the unnecessary features that are loaded.
The international version of the s 3 has different hardware then the US versions making the leak difficult to port. Also there isn't any TW 4.2 ROMs for this phone as Samsung is working on 4.1.2. Lastly we at XDA have realized that what works for one person doesn't work for others so it is best to check out the ROMs yourself and see what works best for YOU.
Has anyone found a good overclocking kernel for VZW s3? I've been running the JellyBam ROM and have been using it for a daily driver (I love the combined settings). I've tried to use KT747's 4.2 kernels, but I've just been getting constant reboots. Does anyone have any other good kernels for an aosp rom?

Can anyone provide a link? I've been having a hard time finding these kernels online. Thank you guys for the help. I'm fairly new to custom ROMs and kernels and all of your help is well appreciated.
Just flashed BMS. Love the performance. Thank you for all of your help.
Sorry if this is a noob question - first post here
Can't seem to find a similar thread though I might be wrong. Is it possible to dirty flash a rom which is based on the one that I have currently installed? I'm thinking along the lines of dirty flashing c-rom over carbon rom. Also, is dirty flashing possible when I have ART enabled?
Also, my device is a galaxy s2 and I'm on a CWM recovery and Omni kernel but I'm not really sure if that matters since this is more if a general question.

it is really a bad idea to dirty flash to another rom no matter the base. the possibility you will have issues from this is very good.
Ok, thanks for the reply
