[Q] How can I sideload Splashtop THD Gamepad? - Shield Q&A

I'd like to try Splashtop THD Gamepad on my NVidia SHIELD but it doesn't show up in Google Play because it only officially supports Tegra 3 devices.
How can I sideload this onto my device? I've purchased it on Google Play using my web browser so I just need to install it.
I've tried spoofing the build.prop on my Galaxy S4 to a Nexus 7 tablet (tegra 3) but it's not working properly. (I was planning to do this and then copy the APK file)
Can anybody help me out?

Hi
I would like the know the same thing. I'm having a GTX660m and still waiting for the portable GPU update. If someone have the solution to this it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

[Q] Would it be possible to install nVidia Shield software on any Android phone?

The nVidia Shield is running Android in the background, so I tought it would be great to run it in on my Android.
Would it be possible to extract the nVidia App or Rom and run it on an Android (Nexus 5) phone than attach a bluetooth controller.
I know there's some alternative like Slashtop and etc. but its just remote stream and its pretty slow compare to the nVidia solution.
I didn't saw any thread about that.

[Q] Splashtop THD/2 and SLI with fullscreen?

Hey Guys!
I finally decided to pick up a Shield and now I am in awe and a little lost!
I got the NVIDIA Game Streaming working fine and I got Splashtop THD sideloaded. I also have Splashtop 2 installed - I am familiar enough with the two to get things going. The issue I am having is, playing games (like Skyrim or Dragon Age) in fullscreen. It either crashes the app or gives me a warning the it cannot support fullscreen games. My PC has 2x 780 GTX graphics cards running in SLI with two monitors connected. I tried disabling SLI and netted the same results. I am not sure it matters, but I am also running Windows 8.1.
My question is, can I do anything to allow fullscreen games or am I stuck in windowed only?
Things I have tried are:
Splashtop 2 and Splashtop GamePad THD
Disabling SLI
Disabling 1 screen
Geforce Optimization on and Off withing Splashtop
I have the latest drivers, I did try two older drivers as well.
PC:
780 GTX SLI
Windows 8.1
i7 3770K
2x 1080p displays
Any help is much appreciated. I Googled until my fingers were tired and my head was exploding. Most items I found were dated 2012 or earlier. I found one from January of last year. Surely things have changed since then? Anyway - please let me know. If there are any alternatives, I am open to exploration. Just from what I read, Splashtop is the best? If so which version? THD or 2? Does it matter?
Thanks again for your help!
So you also tried the shields native game stream also?

Yes and that works fine.
I am trying splashtop for games that are not natively supported. The issue I am having is that I get the error "splashtop streamer does not support direct screen access...". It has the nvidia optimized logo. I tried every registry change I could find by googling today. I also tried (again) a single card, no sli, and a single monitor.
This is driving me nuts ! haha I see so many talking about doing it but no way to replicate it....I will gladly tip someone if they help me get this working (via PayPal).
Thanks

Still have not resolved this =/

[Q] Xposed/Build.prop for downloading Splashtop THD from play store?

Hi all,
I want to download Splashtop THD from the Play store, but it isn't compatible with any of my devices according to the play store. Other than my shield, I have an Xperia play running 4.1, and a Doubleshot running 4.4. I tried using the Play Store Fixes Xposed module, but they come up with "The item you are attempting to purchase cannot be found."
Does anyone have a working combination of Xposed or build.prop settings that would allow me to buy the app, move it to my SD, and then sideload it to my Shield?
I have never ran it myself, I have a compatible card in my laptop but spaceghost created a thread here in the Q and A and from the looks of it he has it running on his shield. Might ask him, or look in the thread in the general section on splashtop.
Alternatively-you can add mstsc to your "games list" on the PC. On the shield, pick the mstsc and you now have MS Terminal control of your PC

Downloading & Playing Games For NVida Shield / K1 Tablet....?

I want to download Doom 3 from the Play store, but it isn't compatible with the Nvida Shield Portable.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.id.doom3bfg&hl=en
I tried using MarketHelper... but it did not work for me, so the only other thing I believe that's left to try is editing the build.prop file.
My question is, what model information should I enter to fool the playstore into allowing me to download Doom 3?

New to LineageOS. New Nvidia Shield Tablet

Hey guys, I recently bought an Nvidia Sheild K1 tablet from e-bay. It had LineageOS preinstalled on it and so far it's been great. I've had no issues so far, Borderlands and Halflife 2 runs well and I can stream my steam library to the device. But I can't find the native Nvidia keymapper program to map touch controls to my gamepad. The tablet I got didn't come with the controller so I guess my question is dose LineageOS have this feature and if it does do I need the Nvidia Controller to use it?
Far as I am aware, you need the stock NVIDIA ROM (or at least a stock based custom ROM) to use the NVIDIA controller. I think there are a couple threads about folks using alternate controllers, if you search around this device forum section (I personally have not).
I would install the 1controller magisk module that adds .kl files for different controllers https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-1controller-1-module-to-support-t3865889
