Hi, due my lack of time to learn a programming language I would like to give you an idea of what I'm thinking now.
You know it all.
You play (for example) Fruit ninja on your tablet and then you have to go to work or school and you wanna beat your high score on your phone.
But there is no high score so yeah ****.
Or you play the levels you just played on your tablet again.
This could be easily managed by an app that takes the save state file,
connects via NFC to the Tablet (place phone on tablet) and syncs the newer one on both devices.
This game would mostly have to support it, but that could be done by using root to merge the new file.
Yeah, so I think that would be a cool idea and not so difficult to code.
Are there any problems because of which it can't be done?
Well let me know.
(Disclaimer bad English and so on, you know, German blablabla.)

Why NFC and not automatic syncing according to your Google account?

I am looking for something like this, so I could sync any app that I'm using on my phone with my tablet, does this exists?

I was wondering what upcoming announced (and a bit unannounced) apps you guys are looking forward to have?
For me all I care about right now is:
Trillian for Android
WhatsApp for Android
and hopefully a real Windows Live Messenger app. One that allow file transfers like on WinMo/BB and I can atleast change my avatar.
Grindr.
10char
It's a game I can't live without on the iPod - Jabeh.

Skype! Skype! Skype!
I'd love to have a WhatTheFont application on my Android phone. There is a version for iPhone (of course ).
I'd like to have a service like microsoft myphone

MyBackup Pro does that, I think.
A real WLM app would be godlike.
Trillian.
Skype usable on Wifi and 3G on any network.
Some more games.

NS Train time table thats stored on the device instead of the net.(Roaming 3G is a tad too expensive for me =P)
STEAM Community (Too bad this will probably never happen)
And finally something thats not really an app, Hotmail Live ActiveSync.
Tilt to live

Would be nice if one big company would come out with an Android app before an Iphone app.....Android so much better than apple...oh well Android still in its infancy.....
Is it too much to ask for a proper port for angry birds on the Android? Doodle Jump's port was hilariously bad.
I guess Skype / WhatsApp is pretty good. helps me and my girlfriend saves some money.
but basically anything that needs to be paid on the market, i wants it. not supported in my country for purchases yet ):
Well, I got the WhatsApp Beta. So I can kinda like cross that off. Too bad I only got like 6 friends that use it

Easy root as soon as I manually updated to Froyo I went to the marketplace and it was pulled. Now I am stuck with a non-rooted phone :\

Hi,
Just wanted to let you all know about this app that I found..
It's basically Scrabble.. it's called "Words with Friends"..
You can play "locally" - with someone in the same room..
Or you can play over the air, by registering an account with your email address, and getting your friends to do the same, you can play against them, wherever they are, at your own pace..
it's mutli-platform too (I've been playing against my Sister - who has an iPhone 4, and my daughter - who has an iPod.. and my Wife - who has a HTC Legend)
It's really slick and works a treat.. only problem is that it's so damned addictive, that you end up with your screen on loads and that kills the battery!
I currently have the free edition, but think I might invest in the full version cos the ads are a bit irritating.
Try wordfeud, I personally found that to have a better UI (Its only for android afaik)
What exactly do u mean locally??
via BT or wifi....or online?
i think hes prob on about locally as in just passin the phone about to mates when its ther turn?
Love it and its multiplatform so more people

As the title says I don't know what to choose, I have a laptop but it's not that good for gaming or anything else, so...
Any advices?
Thanks.
EDIT: Consoles are for kids, newbies, and that kind of people who think of gaming as a 'real motivation to buy a ps3', I'm not one of them. Thanks everyone for your answers, but I don't want the PC only for gaming, I said: "or anything else".
If you want to play i think you know the response to this question...take a good PC. Then if u don't like to play with high level graphics games you can take a good smartphone, but i think you need a PC.
buy a good pc
prefer Pc.......
if you're looking strictly to be gaming, then a PC is the obvious choice...
Definitely go for a PC!
Unless you have a nice fast internet connection. In which case you can use onlive on your current pc or even phone to play latest pc and console games. Surprised no ones mentioned that option.

id go for a good pc first...
pc is soo much better then a phone, basicly you can do everything even call if you mount with phoneexplorer. Better my phone broken on the street, then a crashing computer
get pc
get a pc you can do more with it
Yes a New PC

i'll go for a PC too! xD
but the downside is that it'll probably cost a bomb!
I've been reading a lot about the Note 10.1. Frankly, tablets are a luxury for me as I already have a decent desktop at home, and don't really like carrying more stuff than I absolutely need, when commuting 2 hours back and forth every day. And I already have the Note 5.3, which frankly is a little over rated for its s-pen integration.
But now I want the tablet, thanks to all the marvelous reviews and comments I've seen! One burning question which I have is games. I'm not a heavy gamer but there's one game which I really liked on the S2, which doesn't work on the Note: Adventures of Tintin. Can someone confirm whether this game can be installed and played in the gorgeous mode? Rather than the laughably ugly 2D mode?
Another question: how good is video editing on this tablet? I'm asking this in behalf of someone who's considering getting an ipad with imovie (spelling?).
Lastly, is it easy to create or edit powerpoint slides with the Note? Its fiddly on my phone, but I imagine it to be much better on a larger device.
TIA!

I downloaded it to my Note 5.3, backed it up and side loaded it to the Note and it comes up saying, device is not compatible with this game. Please request a refund. So it would seem it doesn't work on the Note 10.1
TS
Of course you can create or edit powerpoint as you like and its better on device have a big screen like Note 10.0 , and it come with Polaris Office preinstalled app , more easy

Thanks for the replies. I'm kind of sad about Tintin not working on the 10.1. May I know of it runs in the"gorgeous" mode on your 5.3?
Yeah, you're right about editing ppts, it should be a lot easier on a larger screen.
Now I'm just waiting for thoughts about video editing.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
Wow, that Tintin game downloaded over 830MB of data into the phone to even play.
anyway, I honestly can't tell if it is in gorgeous mode. I don''t see any mode setting anywhere. It looks like it is. lol

Hey guys, I'm doing a dissertation on the evolution of the mobile phone and it would be great to get your thoughts on the following question:
If you could change or improve one thing about your phone, what would it be?
Sensible answers please, thanks

For me a huge amount of ram, internal storage, a battery that can last for a week, water-proof and unbreakable. And have customizable rom that can mimic any rom devices you want (i.e. sony, samsung, miui, CM or even iOS). (it's not hard to dream... :fingers-crossed
the restricted ability to connect to a network. Apple has the multipeer connectivity feature which can essentially allow for worldwide connection almost free of cost. (I haven't read into it much so I may be very wrong). If internet connection was allowed such as the WiFi Freedom Tower during the Occupy movements. I'm sure this is far from likely to happen but it has been done small scale already.
The Whole Device
Thanks for your responses.
