[Q] Replacing the cracked screen - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I need to replace my screen cracked TF300T.
The model that appears in the flat cable is I101FGT04.0
I would like to know if there is a similar model that i can buy such as G01 or G03?
Thanks.

You can replace it with any model available. I Used a G01 ( The cheapest available ) to replace my 5158N. You just need to flash the proper firmware to match. If you are rooted already, I can walk you through everything. This is the exact one I ordered and they have more. Works flawlessly after flashing the G01 firmware and was only &43 USD

Ideally just go with b7 docks. I personally have no problems with it. No battery drain etc

[Q] TF300 vs TF300T

Hey guys,
I currently live in Switzerland where I plan to buy a TF300 (not in stores yet in France..).
I just would like to know if there is any difference between the TF300 and the TF300T .
Thank's in advance.
As far as I know, it's the same thing. Every place lists it differently.
The TF300T is the wifi only model, there will be a 3g model TF300GT and I think an LTE model. If you check the manual you will see the name for the three of them. All of them are Tf300.

Not trying to start an argument, but did you read any reviews of the device? Including the review I, myself, posted titled "Add the Asus Transformer Inifnity TF700 to the compatible list"?

[Q] replace asus tf300tg motherboard with tf300t motherboard?

does that work?
i know i will loose the 3g functionality, but better a working t tablet , then a bricked tg.
thanks
If they have the same form factor, you should be able to. I haven't tested it though.

thanks for your answer !
and has it the same form factor ?
maybe someone know it ?
i also sent my tablet to RMA from Asus , but they made me an offer for 540 Swiss Franc to replace the Motherboard ( app. 600 dollar ).
Sorry it took me so long to reply. I can't find an image of a TF300TG motherboard, but since it's bricked anyway, I suggest you buy one, see if it fits, and if not, return it.

USB RJ45 ethernet dongle for the Note 8

I am hoping to use my Note 8 for part of my work which is to manage our campus wifi network. Not to worry I get the networking stuff and then some, my question is has anyone managed to setup an ethernet dongle with their Note 8?
I exepct if it does work I need to root, happy to make that happen as I need to add a custom HOSTS file anyway. I just expect there may be some Android massaging needed that I can mange as well with a few hints here and there of course.
For now I was just hoping someone had tried it before I buy this dongle:

Of course I know it will work with my Asus Infinity so I guess it's safe but I don't want to drag my Infinity into the crawlspaces thanks to this horrid but cool brushed aluminum case. Plus the beastie is bigger and thus has a more fragile screen. On the plus side for the Infinity is it has a full size USB port in the dock so no micro to standard USB adapter needed.

I've only tried the Ethernet dongle from the first generation ASUS Zenbook - doesn't work on stock. But does work on a stock Transformer Prime.
With root it would be possible to load custom compiled kernel modules, or it used to be possible on older devices.

Thanks for the tip about the Zenbook's dongle. I did not think about switching kernals. Sure that might be the best bet in the longer term. Thanks for the suggestion.
