[Q] Question about CWM - Samsung Galaxy S (4G Model)

I finally got my galaxy s rooted(i think) with superoneclick and then i got the CWM Voodoo recovery version 3.0.2? is this the latest version? i tried to flash a cyanogen mod rom and it opened the package and aborted the install it said (satus 7)-- please help with some info and links if necessary plz!

Try to flash kernel basic with a twist or blastoff v2. If you can do that, reboot to recovery and flash CM9.

Make sure your cwm recovery is up to date. That was the reason it wouldn't let me flash roms so give it a try.

Download rom manager from the market and flash cwm from that.
Download Rom Manager from the Market. And then Flash ClockworkMod Recovery, it will download the latest Recovery.

Install which rom? Over what? Have you installed cf-root or a cwm compatible kernel first?
You should read the flashing guides thoroughly before doing anything.

The recovery mode is the stock recovery? You need CWM and a rooted firmware to apply a custom rom.. Are you able to access download mode?

Make sure you wipe cache (including dalvic) since you're on jb Jeff F's kernel won't work so use the aries kernel instead. I just installed cm10 but Google now is a bit glitchy so I recommend you use the xda Google now for ics thread. Other than that everything works I love project butter makes it a when new device!

No. Clockwork Mod does not work for our phone. Use Goo manager instead.

I think you are Confusing Clockwork Mod with Rom manager right?
Because the recovery is call CWM based Recovery. Which stands for Clockwork Mod.

You have to convert it to Odin tar. There are windows applications to do it. Then flash in Odin.
