[Q] ZTE V970M 4.2.2 ROM's Notification drop-down layout - ZTE Grand X V970

I have a ZTE V970M (it's the MTK6577 with 512MB RAM version, in case anyone wants to know) and recently flashed superdragonpt's 4.2.2 ROM (which can be found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2422781). The ROM works surprisingly well, but there is a problem that is bugging me so much: the time and date on the Notifications drop-down don't seem to be properly aligned. They should be a few more pixels away from each other, like on virtually any other stock-based 4.2.2 ROMs, and the clock should have a bigger left margin (the Notifications button should be smaller too, but of course I can fix that myself). I tried decompiling SystemUI.apk, editing system_bar_notification_panel_title.xml then recompiling, but the apk just crashed after I copied it to system/app. Is there anything I can do to separate them a bit? I suck badly at XML, so I'd appreciate a detailed tutorial on this. Even making the drop-down looks exactly like Nexus 4's would be nice. Thank you very much in advance!
Here is a screenshot from my phone and one from Nexus 4 for comparison:

Anyone HOME???!
it's can't
Basically difficult
I think i will work on something like that when my exams are over....
thanks mate!
It's just not possible. Maybe you can flash a 6.5.3 ROM which has bigger Start/close buttons.
but i want big X
I doubt it's even possible - applications expect a certain amount of usable display. You'll notice that WM6.5.x creates space for the larger bottom bar by making the taskbar at the top of the screen smaller...

The new 6.5.6 roms have the big X.
Moved as not theme release.

Circle Battery [OTA Froyo]

First of all: I did not make this myself!
Found this a while ago for the DjDroid Android 2.2 Release packed together with WiFi-N Driver and some other stuff.
I just repacked this, so only the Circle-Battery is installed without the other stuff around.
All Credits to the developer (name not known)!
This should work on odexed and de-odexed ROM's afaik.
Of course, you see the amount of battery remaining in percent in the middle of the circle.
EDIT:
Sorry for the trouble at the moment. Seems like the Update forces you, to reenter the Mobile-Network APN Settings. I will try to fix this

Thanks for uploading this.
I just installed it though, and I appear to have now lost my HDSPA icon. Instead I get a picture of a phone with 5 bars underneath it?
Hi debug77,
would be helpful, if you could post a screenshot of this. Please let me know, what kind of ROM you got running, perhaps I can help you with another file fitting for your ROM

Problem porting Camera application

Hello there.
I have two devices that share almost the same hardware (same chipset, just different display), so I successfully ported framework from one to the other (G14 to G11i). The thing is that camera app from G11i had really nice features when compared to camera app from G14. Even more important than that is that auto-focus is not working any more, so I was trying to port that app as well. The thing is that the app doesn't appear on app drawer.
Can someone please guide me on what can be the cause for this? I have attached both apk's.
Is there any developer willing to help?
Here's a log while trying to install the Camera application.

Do you think this could be the problem why the app doesn't appears on the drawer (if I push it to /system/app)? How can I make the app signatures match those in android.media?
I have managed to solve this problem by modifying AndroidManifest.xml and re-signing the application. This may be useful to others.
(off-topic: it's just a pity that no one showed up for help)
By no one answering this you did just what you were supposed to. You learned how to fix it yourself. Its what XDA is all about. Learning something new and how to fix your issue. Glad you got it working.

Interactive Phone, People, Email & Calendar Icons on JB?

Recently for some unrelated reasons, I had to do a complete wipe/reset of my phone.
Until then, I had been running ICS. Since I had to reload anyway, I went with the stock JB load.
Something I immediately noticed was that the Phone, People, & Calendar icons/shortcuts no longer appear to be interactive? Just simple shortcuts.
For example, on ICS, the Phone & People icons in the launcher had up/down swipe actions (see the up/down triangles). The Calendar and Email shortcuts had the same ability.
Now on JB, they're just basic icons/shortcuts. I've looked through all the settings and don't think I'm missing anything. Is this something that was just dropped by Motorola/Google on JB?

Ok, so apparently this feature is called "Quick View" and was disabled by Motorola in all Jelly Bean ROMs. Several people with the Atrix were also complaining about it missing.
It wasn't "removed", but disabled from what I understand. The component for it seems is still present in the ROM (see below).
Any ideas on how to re-enable it? I'm not coming up with much discussion scouring the net.

Manipulate Notification panel android 12

I would like to modify the notification panel a bit.
I use a custom Rom, and are able to compile it my self (done it already), but never really changed anything.
Since I looked at some code, I would guess that I have to tinker around with xml files.
My Problem, where do I find them(to change the notification panel, directory would be helpful).
Are there other things I have to look out for when changing them(like file size, editing make files, etc.)

1. Making the grey background transparent
2.Only if I am able to, but I think that it would look better with the curves following the blue line.
3. I do not have a camera there, so it's unused space.
hey, i have a rooted galaxy with android 13, can i replace the notification panel files to have the stock notification panel, im new at modding so i dont know how to edit it
