AT&T owner here.
TWRP installed flawlessly. CleanROM 1.0 installed flawlessly and booted up just fine.
OP was not kidding, Factory Reset took about 5 minutes. Just be patient.
I'm happy to report TWRP did not nuke out my pictures on Factory Reset, like my Factory Reset via LG settings menu did the other night (sadpanda).
I really, really, really wish AT&T Ready2Go or whatever the hell that is was replaced with the Stock setup that triggers a proper App Backup/Restore process, but no big deal.
FYI, if you want street names back in Google Maps, change your Text-to-Speech to Pico TTS from LG TTS. Unfortunately, Pico TTS is not natural sounding, and there doesn't appear to be a way to sideload Google Text-to-Speech yet. I attempted ganking Maps/VoiceSearch from /system and installing them manually to get the Google Services directly, but it didn't help.
Thanks Scrosler! Runnin' just fine.

Looks like I lost the ability to change my lock screen wallpaper with Clean ROM, anyone else experiencing this?
I tried a clean re-install and got the same result, so I'm pretty sure maybe something might've been debloated that it hinged on...

Nope. Not here. Mine changes fine. Are you using a third party launcher?

There is actually a file that you can freeze that would cause this issue. I dont recall the specific name of it but its something like lockscreen settings. I had to edit the file to change out the wallpaper. But I cant recall the name.

I have this problem. I can switch to different stock wallpapers on my home screen, but I'm locked to a blue wallpaper for my lock screen. I'm kinda sad because I like using the stock papers for my lock screen.

I heard its running slow... Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesnt.
I have another server I can mirror on, AndroidFile Host, but its not as user friendly so I dont care to use it.
If they would give me shell acess to use wget I would do it. But alas...
Here we are with what we have...

No worries. Understood. I've downloaded enough files from goo to know it's "potential". It will eventually get the job done. Just happy for clean rom.

[ROM] Inspired AOSP RC1 [May 9th] - 75MB of pure Google love

Inspired AOSP
Features:
-True AOSP experience as Google intended it (NOT based on CM7)
-MDJ's V14 2.6.35.13 kernel
-Rooted
-Busybox
-Fully deodexed and zipaligned
-Png optimized framework
-Nexus S boot animation, live wallpaper, ringtones, and notification sounds
-ROM Manager support
Inspire 4G specific configurations:
-Inspire 4G audio configuration files
-GPS configured for North America
-Device name set to Inspire 4G
RC1 Changelog:
-Now uses MDJ's V14 2.6.35.13 kernel (definitely make a backup if you want to try something else)
-Enabled CRT screen off animation
-Camera viewfinder works now
-Camera can shoot at full 8M resolution now
-Video recording works now
-Video playback works now
-Adobe Flash works now (although you'll need to install it from the Market as it's no longer included)
-GPS should work better now
-Increased the size of the keyboard a little
-Added several Nexus wallpapers and removed some ugly ones
-Cleaned up a few things (hence the massively reduced size)
Full, Clean Installation Instructions:
Note: This is a Gingerbread release and thus requires Clockwork Recovery 3.x.x.x. A few have reported flashing issues with recent versions of CWR, so if you have issues try rolling back to 3.0.2.5 or 3.0.0.6.
1. Download ROM Manager from the Market.
2. Go to "Download ROM", select my section (gtg465x), and select the latest release.
3. When you get to the "ROM Pre-Installation" prompt, select "Wipe Data and Cache". You can uncheck "Wipe Dalvik" as it's included in "Wipe Data and Cache".
4. Press OK and hold your breath.
Tips:
1. It won't feel super smooth for the first few minutes because it's indexing your media and (if you log in to your Google account) pulling down backed up data. After it finishes that though...
2. For quicker GPS locks, go to Settings > "Location & security" and enable "Use wireless networks." This uses a little data so be careful if you're on a 200MB plan.
3. If you want to overclock, 1.38GHz with interactive gov is working great for me. I don't recommend going above 1.5GHz.
4. If you want to try another kernel, you'll DEFINITELY want to make a backup first! CM7 kernels probably won't work. Some Gingerbread Sense kernels will work.
5. If the power control widget is acting a little odd after flashing, try rebooting.
Rules of Inspired AOSP:
1. Do NOT ask for CM7 features! If you want CM7 features, run CM7.
2. I might add a few addons at some point, but don't ask me to include more features than are already there. This ROM is for people who want a completely stock Android experience as Google intended it.

On an unrelated note here is a thing I did just now, maybe it will be my splash screen on this rom:
For those who don't know what that was, here's the original:
Hmm...Found one possible issue. Maybe its a bad flash. Power control widget dosen't seem to be working correctly. I'll click something, it'll happen, but graphics don't change.

Question for you op. You are saying to enable wireless networks to make gps work but att no longer has an unlimited data plan. By using network based location you are using data to triangulate your position based off of towers surrounding you. Its your thread but I recommend warning att users that may not know of this do they don't get slammed with a huge bill if they use gps a lot.

GPS will work without it. Just won't lock as quickly. I'll add a warning, but if people aren't smart enough to monitor their usage or don't know what that setting does then they shouldn't be rooted in the first place. It comes enabled by default on pretty much every other ROM and I don't think it uses much data anyway.

I've always liked this theme. If I decide to give FP1 another chance, I'll definitely be giving this one a spin.
Is it possible you can make an ICS theme for FP1 rom without the AOSP stuff? I found that custom rom does have a "break in" period, where there're bugs. Until then I will stay on stock with a nice theme. My wife almost divorce me when I flashed the eclipse rom to her phone!!LOL and thanks.

Love this theme! - possible problem found
First of all... kudos to you sir! Thank you for all of your time and hard work. This is a gorgeous theme!
I'm wanting to install this over Nitro's [ROM][FP1] Eclipse Charge v2.0 (4/3/12).
I've installed this on my and my wife's phone. Everything was beautiful and working great until I did one thing... on each phone. If I long press on the power button to bring up the reboot options screen, nothing happens right away. A couple of seconds later, a single "haptic feedback" vibrate is felt, followed momentarily by a launcher F/C message and then the phone reboots. Once it reboots, the "themed" GMail icon is gone, GMail doesn't appear to be installed any longer. Also, pressing on the menu button from the Home screen brings up a menu, but the menu does not contain a "Settings" icon. The "Settings", and "GMail" icons are also missing from the application drawer. At this point any attempt to open anything is a trip to Force Close city. I had no choice but to revert back to Nitro's ROM, (which is great itself! Thanks Nitro!).
I noticed that Nitro has redone the "reboot options" screen to include some extras for those of us who use them. Could this be causing a problem with this theme? I was wondering if since his screen, layout and icons are different, could this be what is causing the problem? The problem I'm experiencing is duplicated exactly on two different Charges. One of them is less that one week old and the other is about 4 months old.
Like I said earlier, this theme is beautiful. My wife and I both want to use it. I'll be glad to trash my phone a few times to help figure it out. I'll be glad to donate as well. I know how much time this stuff takes.

[App] Updated 11.28.12 AOSP MMS/Inverted Mms.apk with WORKING MMS messages!!!!

Here is the first known working AOSP MMS with Emoji support, 160 character split, gesture support, full timestamps, etc.
All other MMS apk's seem to crash when sending/receiving MMS messages. This one has been tested working with Jellywiz (a JB TW based ROM). It should work with all ICS/JB TW ROM's, but I need your help to test others.
Instructions to install:
- Download file
- Make a backup of your TW mms.apk (this is usually named SecMMS.apk) by adding ".bak" without the quotes, at the end of the filename.
- Using your favorite file explorer with root capabilities, copy the Mms.apk into the /system/app folder.
- Change permissions (I didn't when I was testing, but you should anyway) as follows: rw-r--r--
- Reboot phone.
- WIN.
All credit for the file goes to beanstown106. This was an apk in his awesome Custom ROM builds. I simply had the good idea to extract it and see if I could get it working with any JB-based TW builds.
Update: Uber, the man with the theming hand, helped me get a themed version based on this file. It was still in testing because I noticed a few glitches when he went radio silent. So, I will release what he had until then for you guys. I tried themeing it further, but I'm nowhere near his level of talent. That being said, it's not perfect, but it's pretty good. Enjoy.
Without further ado, enjoy.
Tested working on:
Jellywiz RLS8
CleanROM 2.5
I used this on my CleanRom 2.5 install working great.

The pop up being the quick reply in the notification bar or a separate deal???? If youre referring to the former, that is a JB feature. Unfortunately, this is an ICS based mms, apk.

It pops up on the screen ???? I have JB on my Galaxy Nexus and am running an AOSP MMS, and I don't have this feature. Is it specific to CM10/AOKP ????
mexiken said:
As a request, if there is anyone who is any good at theming, I would GREATLY appreciate if we could get this file inverted.
Without further ado, enjoy.
Tested working on:
Jellywiz RLS8

Works on Stock Rooted 4.0.4 TouchWiz
Has anyone found that adding a photo that you took vertically on the camera as an MMS only adds it as horizontally? The receiver confirmed receiving it horizontally as well. Using this on Stock Rooted TouchWiz VRALHE.

Happens with GoSMS as well, and if you plug your phone into your computer, the images you took vertically will display horizontally in the Windows photo viewer. I believe the pictures are all rotated the same way regardless of how you orient your phone for the picture, and then Samsung is using some kind of proprietary data attached to the image to tell apps what way to orient the photo. The problem is, only Samsung apps read this information.

You're right. I believe the main issue is the TouchWiz camera because I tested even CameraZoom app has the same issue but it most likely is tunnel through some TouchWiz framework to function so that's why. My guess is AOSP camera would work fine if only it was possible to get it working on a TouchWiz ROM however.
A few MMS apps work with emoji. Make sure you are rooted, push it to your system apps, and fix permissions. Reboot and done.

I also extracted the MMS.apk from CM10 because I also wanted the quick reply feature and it worked, but after a while I kept getting FC.

ALL CREDITS GO TO PARANOID-ANDROID TEAM! I DO NOT CLAIM THIS TO BE MY OWN WORK, I JUST MADE IT WORK FOR THE DOUBLESHOT.

This is an ongoing developer project to make way for a modification that will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the experience of your phone. I know you've seen tablet mode roms before, they change two lines in your build.prop file which you could easily edit yourself in seconds and maybe throw a keyboard in there to make it work better. It's a start, but this ain't enough. This thing has potential, but it is wasted the moment you try to stuff a full blown tablet into your poor phone. Yet we all know our high res phones can very well handle more than silly 1-column layouts. So the magic must be in between somewhere, a place that Google must have overlooked and left blank. Yes, this rom strives to drop your device into tablet mode, but it won't stop there, it will reshape and redefine JellyBean to make it all a useful addition and not just a cute novelty. we're calling it: Hybrid Mode, best of both worlds.

does anyone know the trick for making the secondary feature of the back button go away? in the pic, the down arrow is showing, as if I had the keyboard open with the option to minimize it. I have found that by going into my Wi-Fi connection and clicking on it, that the back icon is restored. however, once I lock the screen, it goes back to the secondary feature, the down button. I have tried changing settings, themes, I've shut the nav buttons off and rebooted, then restored, etc. nothing works.
Thanks for any help.

Ahhhh now I see. Are you nav buttons just set, what UI are you running? Mind giving me the settings your using so I can replicate it. Is it after a reboot before hardware KB is disabled

I'm running phone ui w/ nav buttons, is all. this has been set before I disable the hwkb, but I've tried it the other way. I've tried almost everything I can think of. hopefully you'll be able to see what the issue is, as I'm sure a a log cat wouldn't declare the issue, since there's technically nothing wrong.
EDIT: never mind. I didn't have the hwkb disabled. I knew I had it working once before. that fixed it, strapped.

Can you replicate it on the spot? I just set my nav buttons on but I'm on tabletUI ( which shouldnt matter ) and I'll see if I can replicate it. My first thought was because the KB issue we seem to be plagued with, but the only real way to tell would be fix the KB issue ( mattlowry has ideas ). Or just see if it will happen to me before the KB issue is resolved and depending on how and when it happens it could be narrowed down.
But I do have to ask, was a full wipe performed before flashing? And was anything restored with Titanium Backup?

About
CyanFox is a free, community built distribution of Android 4.4 (KitKat) which greatly extends the capabilities of your phone and to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
This ROM was originally developed for Samsung Galaxy S2. I have successfully ported this ROM to Samsung Infuse with the help of CM 11.0 for Infuse 4G by scott.hart.bti.
I have been using this CyanFox Ported ROM on my Infuse for a while now, it is still working fine without any problems.

CREDITS
CyanFox team for developing this ROM Ofc.
And the most special thanks goes to scott.hart.bti for bringing CM 11 to Infuse 4G. Without the CM 11 ROM, I could not have ported this ROM. And without his help, we could have never received the KitKat update for our Infuses. Let's say that you guys MAYBE liked this ROM and MAYBE decided donate to the developer, than donate to Scott and CyanFox
I am not a developer or anything, I just understand this ROM concept a little so don't thank me or anything, all the thanks goes to them.

Downloading this now, can't wait to try it out :fingers-crossed:
Edit:
Just flashed the rom, running smoothly so far. Google Play services started updating as soon as I completed setup, at first it gave me a message that Google Play Services was not able to run on my device, but it seemed to figure itself out. This same thing has happened with other KK roms so it's not a big deal.
I'll make sure to let you know if I come across any bugs.

Yes it was made on January, I wrote on instructions that I've been using this ROM for a while. I made the Zip on January and been updating and fixing stuff till now (did not want to change the ZIP date because some apps are still not updated to last update). This ROM seems smooth and stable now, that is the reason I posted this ROM .
Thank you all for trying this ROM. I will keep on working on updates for this ROM. CyanFox team said that they are going to release their V3, I will try to port it too when it is released
And @bokonon9 Thanks :victory: let me know if you come across any other bugs.

I don't know much about the Russian letters in the dialer, can you explain a little more about what you meant?
About the Percentage, It totally works fine with me. I used it with the percentage for some time, did not occur that problem. But, I will look into this and see what I come across with.
Till then can you try this:
Change back "Battery status style" to Icon Portrait or anything you want except "Icon with percentage" and then tick the "Show battery status perc.." tick box and see?
I appreciate to see another dev...
Is there a benefit to this ROM? I keep trying ones and going back to cm... I guess what I'm asking is what is different?
Thanks for a new option

I mean, I choose Russian as main language of the OS, and when I open the dialer I saw only english letters on number buttons, so, I can't apply quick search in phone book, because all contacts are written on my native language.

If your battery is going down this fast, look to see what is using so much power.
You should be able to reboot in to recovery, clear cache and dalvik cache then reboot - problem should be resolved.

The two culprits were cell standby and android os. My infuse doesn't have a SIM so I just put it on airplane mode with Wifi on. My phone was apparently awake because of Android OS for close to 15 hours. Talk about wakelocks.

Where it says "select runtime". Tap it and switch from dalvik to art. It will reboot and optimize all apps for art. That can take 5-10 minutes.
Still, I have not tried on this rom yet, so it may/may not work.
EDIT: Don't use art with the op listed gapps. They cannot support it. I will try some other gapps packages today that are known to be compatible with art.
