I don't have the same exact issue, but my phone randomly loses mobile data connection after MaximusHD install. Very annoying.

Hey Guys,
I purchased a new One S from T-Mobile and they sent me a phone that can't connect to 4g. I know that the problem is the phone, I attempted to get a replacement phone and they shipped it but gave me an excuse saying something about fraud and sent my phone back to the warehouse before I could even get it. But yet T-Mobile doesn't mind taking my $$$
So enough of that I called HTC and they want to take a look but I'll be 7-10 days with no phone. Any solution for this problem? My phone is stock and for some odd reason won't connect to anything but 2G I checked the APN settings and dabbled with that but to no avail I even factory reset and tried other sim cards no luck.
Any advice? I think I'll end up ending it to HTC but I'm trying to fix this on my own and a last resort send it to HTC for repair.

Yeah, that doesn't work. It's an issue with the 4.0.4 update. T-Mobile has been dragging their ass on a fix for it, I'm getting my 3rd replacement for the phone I've had less than 30 days at some point this week.
There's an official thread going on T-Mobile's support site...I'd post a link but it won't let me.
My One S has the same problem. Not rooted yet. I wonder If I root it if it will fix the issue. Anyone tried that?
If you run the 2.35 ruu it'll probably fix the issue you guys are having. Pretty sure.

If the 2.35 ruu does not work is there a 1.85 ruu which we all know it works fine? Sorry, it is just very frustrating.

If you're on 4.0.4 I'm pretty sure only the 2.35 ruu will restore your phone. And I think you'll have no more issues your having. I was having issues with data and wifi when I updated via ota. Ran the ruu and haven't had any problems since.

I will give it a try. Hopefully it works. I will be rooting it too. Do u suggest to flash the ruu, see if everything works fine and then root or just root and try it later?

Its my understanding that the CM roms come with a radio in a different partition, you might find that going to a sense based rom you won't have the radio working properly.
HBOOT Versions 1.13+ can't flash to the radio partition on sense based roms. So to flash the radio on a sense rom you will have to downgrade your HBoot, theres a sticky tutorial on how to do this.
Is there a way to reset the gps stats on this phone? Every time I go into Maps it shows my location at 20 or 40 meters and keeps moving between those two. I seem to remember my gps being as low 3-4 meters before.

GPS signals can be wonky. Lots of things can interfere with your reception. Does it seem to change based on where you are?

Might be time for a RUU and re-root?
That app will give you the raw GPS data. You can use it to see if the problem is the signal or something else.

Hey everybody,
In the past I tried to install the Viper One S rom for my T-Mobile phone. Sadly, the wifi did not work so I was forced to revert back to my original rom. The issues revolved around my hboot being 1.14 and causing those wifi problems. Just now, I successfully got S-Off on my phone! Now what's the best way to get Viper One S working on my phone? Downgrade the hboot? Do the wifi partitions work now now that I got S-Off?
Thanks

I have the outdated version....that explains it. At first I believed 2.1 to only work on Jelly Bean but under further inspection I see that it isn't.
Thanks for your help!
Its a JB Rom, yes, but that doesnt mean your old rom has to be JB as well.

Sorry but I have to disagree. It has always said 4g in the signal. and this --> http://www.amazon.com/HTC-One-Android-Phone-T-Mobile/dp/B007W5694W
Thanks everyone for trying to help. I re-flashed my rom a couple of time and it started working again. Idk what the problem was.
it is all semantics, tmobile calls their hspa+ 4g
where others consider true 4g to be lte
but glad it is working now

Sorry, but I have to disagree. As rugmankc said, it's not true 4g. Go and try it yourself with a speed test with "speed test.net" and you will NOT get speeds of 20mb/s.
