Hello I want to make a rom for the Teclast P85 tablet that is devoted towards education I currently have:
The educational tools to put into this rom
some android programing experience
and connections for art and images
The stock rom with drivers
what I need:
People with Android rom experience
People with Android theme/UI experience
People with Android Programing experience
Please no this is a dumb idea reply that doesn't help

[Q] App Development Query

I Am planning to Create an Android app, i found a useful thread here itself which im following (beginner) as we know that before starting any Developement we need to install the Java JDKand the Android SDK Now, the point i want to know that if i can install all the required Components related to Developement on An External Hard Drive? If Yes, then how? i mean as the simple way we install anything!

[Q] ADB or TOOLs for Linux based PC

hi,
does anyone know if there is adb type program or adb toolset that wil work on a ubuntu based distro PC, I killed my wimdows machine, completely destroyed boot loader info, no recovery will work, but i did manage to install zorin ubuntu ,. so i have this and a chromebook.,
I have a new oneplus one that i have to go to work on soon, and I have a nexus 7 and a nexus 10, the wugfresh tool may run in wine, but i guess they still need the sdk installed.
anyone has any experience of linux and adb or similar linux program i would really appreciate any advise you can offer ,

You can find some on Android Development and Hacking forum. I use QtADB mostly though, because has versions for linux and Windows and it's a File Manager with support of adb. Take a look here:

What and get a bunch of YouTube video reviews! Read the answer above, that's what a helpful forum member does. That's the point of a dedicated topic forum, did you stop to think that i may have been googling and researching for weeks and get a bit nonplussed with all the conflicting opinions and techniques, that a dedicated Dev forum would be the place to seek advice?
Really if go google it is the best you can do, why even bother replying, your not talking to a schoolkid but a fellow member of the forum.

Thanks very much I read up on Qtadb and it sounds like just the thing, I run xubuntu on chrome and a windows Laptop and so a dual platform for generic devices would suit me just fine

[Completed] installing android OS.

Hello guys.
I'm new to android development.
I wish to learn how to install the pure android in any smatphone.
I do not wish to use rom's, DESIRE TO LEARN how is installation
system from android without using SDK Rons I think.
Can anyone help?

Thanks for using XDA Assist.
Each device has its peculiarities that should be noticed before installing a O.S. Even, as a learning playground, you will surely need to experiment with your own device. Given your report, we could not determine the Manufacturer & Model of your device in order to better approach your request.
I will have to ask you to create a new Thread where you could be as detailed as possible regarding your devices information and needs.

Make new rom for me

Hello XDA members and friends ! I want to please you for something. Ok so I have Acer Liquid Z630 and i have 1year old security patch So i wanted to if someone can make me rom based on android 6.0 or better I'll be very glad for that because i still running Android 5.1.1 and i want new android and new things So if u want to you can send me PM

ROM requests are not allowed. Also, if you want someone to build a ROM for you then you'll have to PM some developers here and ask them if they would be willing but you'll have to be willing buy another device like yours and donate that device to the developer. If you can't donate a device then you are wasting your time asking for a ROM.
If you can't or won't donate a device then you'll have to learn how to build ROMs for yourself. There are many guides for building your own ROM all over the Internet and there are many members here that have made their own recoveries and ROMs because their device was not supported by any developers.

As I'm in the same position with this phone I'm considering creating my own basic ROM for it. Although I'm good at IT in general I'm not a programmer or developer or Android expert so I'll need to ask one or two of my friends to help me with the compiling and makefile aspects of the task (according to a Youtube video).
My question is how much time my friends would need to put aside for this (as long as I do the downloading and use my PC to do all the compiling work).
I don't even want to ask them if it will take hours of their time.

Hours would be an understatement, more like days weeks or even months to iron out all the kinks.
